The ONLY chapter I would join....to be a son of Dorn and a student of Sigismund is the highest honor second only to being chosen to be a custody. This is my chapter
@Dot_FLP's Joining the Black Templars truly is a noble aspiration! Being a son of Dorn and a student of Sigismund is a testament to honor and loyalty. The legacy of Sigismund as the first High Marshal and his relentless pursuit of the Emperor's will is inspiring. What draws you most to the Black Templars? Is it their unyielding faith or their fierce combat prowess?
@@Whispers-of-the-Warp Their FAITH!!! Unyeilding even in the face of True Horror. Even when trapped in the warp for years they did Not succum to its Madness. Not a SINGLE black templar ever has....That is why they're my Favourite chapter
@@Dot_FLP Absolutely! The Black Templars' unwavering faith is truly inspiring and sets them apart from other chapters. Their ability to resist the madness of the Warp and remain steadfast in their devotion to the Emperor showcases their incredible resolve. This relentless zeal drives them to face horrors that would break lesser warriors, and it’s a huge part of what makes them such a compelling chapter. Their commitment to their vows and the idea that they are the Emperor's champions gives them a unique place in the lore. What aspect of their faith do you find most fascinating? One of mine is their resistance to Primaris Marines, seeing them as potentially blasphemous against the Emperor's original vision. The whole '1000 Astartes limit' is a feeble rationalisation by GW to have pretty much as many chapters as players wish and let their fan-fictions go wild. In reality, such arbitrary limit would make precisely zero sense and would actually be harmful to the Imperium. One: Chaos chapters don't need to respect it and won't do so. Two: there are other enemies than Chaos Marines, from other Chaos hordes, to Orks, Tyranids, etc., and Guilliman's insanity makes their war on Imperium all that easier. Three: it does not prevent future civil wars either. It doesn't matter how much you fragment Imperium's population or its military forces, in the end the choice is binary - for the Imperium or against it - and by simple rule of probability and bearing in mind similar developments during Horus Heresy, you will end up with a 1:1 split. Whether the split runs through 10 chapters or 1000 chapters makes zero difference. So: a feeble-minded rationalisation by GW; in lore, an outright stupid move and the greatest act of self-harm by Guilliman; and a very good approach by the Black Templars who refuse to sabotage the Imperium for the sake of a weak Primarch and weak Games Workshop. I want to see a 40k book in which Black Templars break the fourth wall and declare Games Workshop heretics.
Haha, exactly! Just keep the crusade rolling, and you’ll never have to worry about those pesky limits! 42:19- So this is one thing that has always kinda confused me about Star Wars (SW) also on top of WH…….. but on a planet (like Armageddon) is there civilization all over the planet or just on that 1 side?!? Because any time you watch any SW show/movie and there doing a planet attack or defense or real some of the WH books, it always feel/seem like it all takes place on 1 side of the planet!?! Which brings into many questions of why it was so difficult if 1 side isn’t even protected/attacked!?!
I got the Warhammer 40k Monopoly and won against my two sons. Go me. This Warhammer stuff is complicated, interesting to listen too but complicated to understand.
WARNING: This is a bit of a longer comment! But it explains why at least I think this is very dumb for the Loyalists to do!!! And it completely ignores the fact that if any of the Chaos SM joined also, there would be NOTHING the Loyalists could do to stop it!!! So if you don’t care or don’t like long comments, skip this!!! 8:34- Well yeah……. I agree with Dorn!!! Well, I don’t really know where his stand was?!? But I agree that what they did does not stop what they were afraid of happening again!?? It wasn’t “1 leader” and “1 army” they were fighting against! It was 9!!! So splitting them up just makes it far harder to keep track of and under control! Not to mention (let’s just say) every chapter is 1,000 troops!?! Ok so a army that is clearly about to go traitor is obviously not going to follow the rules!?! So as long as their not stupid, they could have anywhere between 1,500 and up to 10k! And all they have to do is not have them on the same planet/same area! And in the same color scheme! And that’s just “1 leader”!!! Now if another Civil War started you would probably have a minimum of 3 to 6 traitor leaders!?! And (if we say somewhere in the middle) if 5 Leaders turned and ended up attacking after building up their forces up to (again, let’s just say) 5k each (which it could be way more) and joined up with the other 4! That would be 25,000 troops attacking each planet at a time! And do you really think any one of the “Loyal 1,000 troop armies” will have even a chance to stop them?!? Hell NO!!! And by the time the loyalist finally realized what was going on and joined forces with their other loyalists armies, half of them would already be whipped from the galaxy! And that 25k army would have kept recruiting and building! So when the final battle happened it could be close to 20-25k loyalists VS 100-180k Traitors!!! Obviously there are a lot of “ifs” throughout that! But Girlyman is doing this because he thinks this will stop that from ever happening again! But it only makes it “harder”! Not “impossible”!!!
That's just some bs that got retconned into recent lore. They just refused to adhear to girlymans rules and went on never ending crusades so nobody could ever know their true numbers

There were FIVE 2nd Founding Chapters!!! You forgot to mention my favorite chapter...Dorn's BDSM Boys - The EXCORIATORS!!!!!!! Demetrius Catafalque, a Captain in the Imperial Fists Legion that had his Company defending the final walls around the Eternity Gate, was the last Imperial Fists' officer Dorn spoke to before teleporting to the Vengeful Spirit with Sanguinius and the Emperor. Dorn gave Captain Catafalque two orders to follow in his absence: The first order was to defend the Throne Room at all costs and to the last Marine. The final order was simple - Do Not Fail. Captain Catafalque didn't. He and his Company held off a hoard of demons, traitor Guard, and Chaos Astartes. For his actions during the Siege of Terra, Captain Catafalque was allowed to start his own Chapter during the 2nd Founding. That Chapter would follow Dorn's forms of self punishment and meditation through pain. Their way of war would be based on the way Captain Catafalque waged war...win through attrition...make the enemy lose warriors as you lose none. Fight up close, at a distance, hit and run, have protracted firefights...whatever it takes to win while losing the least amount of your soldiers. This is the way of The Excoriators...the commanding Chapter of the Astartes Praeses...the guardians of the Eye of Terror.

Rowboat is a coward for refusing to show up at terra.

I'm a HUGE fan of the Black Templars, but the Black Templars are just a more badass, less cringe pre-heresy Word Bearers. I'm guessing if the Emperor were still able to function normally, he would do to them EXACTLY what he did to the Word Bearers, and the Templars would fall to Chaos.
