For future reference, when dating Fender guitars, you want to verify the serial number, and take the neck off. There's a date stamped in the neck pocket of the body. You also want to date the pots and pickups. Also an original 57' should have the original case with it, so its a redflag to see it with a cheap gigbag. It's common to find a neck placed onto a more modern guitar body. I'd definitely follow these steps when vintage guitars come into the shop. Unless it's a reissue, which is common for Fender and Gibson. I think you are very very knowledgeable but vintage instruments can be tricky, and dont want you ripped off. Hope this helps!

From the same Halloween webstore which first released them several years ago. I have them. They are officially licensed by Universal Studios, but not sold by them. They are sold by a Halloween webstore. Sneakerheads went crazy for them when they first released. They sold out in an instant and have been restocking ever since. They don't come in half sizes. I started working at the Chicago Board of Trade in 1991, straight out of high school. One day I walked out the front door on LaSalle and Jackson and they were filming a scene when Joe Pesci got hit by a car or something (there was a dented up car on the street). The Toy Store was actually The Rookery building all decorated up. I stood there and watched them film for hours fascinated by the process and actually met Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern and talked to them for about an hour about random stuff.

Reason for the 4 screws: 2 line, 1 load, 1 ground. Pretty much, you can wire it to the next appliance. Daisy chain them. Early lightbulbs didn't screw in, they were just pushed in. I assume since they would fall out after the pressure to keep them in deteriorated over time, someone invented screw in lightbulbs. Great videos, thanks

I have used spot welders like the one that you bought. They are very handy for manufacturing. It allows you to weld a threaded stud onto metal very quickly. You put a stud into the gun, press the gun to metal and bang it is permanately attached. It is very likely that it will be in working condition.

The really trippy thing about this episode is that the guy selling the guitar is an interdimensional time traveller who actually got the guitar by stealing it from this exact Trading Post a week or two after this video was filmed. He had actually got stuck in a temporal time loop whereby he had to sell it in order to steal back in order to sell it again.
He could have got out of the loop if he had just used the money to actually buy gas rather than more time twisting magic mushrooms!
Apparently though he was apprehended after his latest attempt to steal it back so it appears that the cycle is broken.
We will know if it isn't, if he comes back in last week to sell it again.

Since they are already messing around with selling things online, why settle receiving half of what items are worth at this store and not just sell it slightly above online - especially with expensive items?

The other possibility is that fans of the channel are doing it intentionally!

Nice of you to hook the jacket guy up with an extra $10. About that Fender…seems weird that he didn’t have the nice tweed case it came with and had it paired with a bottom end practice amp. The fact that he didn’t know much about the $2000 guitar he owned (or how to play it even at a basic level, let’s be honest) seems suspect.

Those packout holders all the stuff is in are worth decent money each (in Europe, less in the US as the standards aren't the same size, less people use them). If those are tools of a Germany company that got sent out to the US on project, it's likely all top notch stuff, but the question is was the stuff stolen from the company, since usually they will just put it all back on a container for the return. Also possible the company made so much money it wasn't worth dealing with bring it back and get all new stuff.
