Today I am going to show you a city Eschweiler in Aachen region of the Germany. This city is in the state of North Rhein Westfalen (NRW). Its close to Aachen and used to be very famous for its coal mines. Now living in Duesseldorf, I lived in Eschweiler between 1989 and 1996, when I was a child. As a part of my family still lives there, my father and I drive through the town from time to time. A lot has changed, the "City Center" has been demolished due to bankruptcy of a big shopping mall, the "Schnellengasse" is virtually non-existing etc. A pretty grey and negative picture of Eschweiler has manifested in my head, to be honest. But you, Priya, somehow managed to display my old home town in a lovely and charming way. And actually, Eschweiler is not as bad as I looked on it. Therefore I want to thank you. I wish you all the best and keep up your good work.
Priya, I am close to tears. Thank you so much for giving my city of birth such a remarkable kind of visual monument. And I love to read so positive comments here. I grew up in Eschweiler (Weisweiler) for my first 19 years and left the city for military service and after that to study in Trier (the oldest city of Germany). And now I am living in Switzerland. But my ❤ is still in Germany.

I was born 1963 in Eschweiler 💞 and live from 1964 in Würselen/Aachen . I missing Eschweiler , because I'm Long Time not there 😕 . Thank you for the Video 🙏
