So, first of all, this is a super creative idea and I decided to try it out myself. I ran into a couple issues that unfortunately made this a no-go for me: 1. The deal-breaker was that the drive motor's small gear that connects with the wheel axle gear below the floor skipped often, and the motor assembly really wanted to pull away from the floor. Additionally the motor has a lot of resistance so if you want to still be able to manually drive the Ecto 1 around, it fights you, and again the sounds of gears skipping. 2. The battery pack needs to be removed to change the batteries which in the case of the Ecto-1 is not so much fun. 3. The steering motor cable gets in the way of the side-gunner seat mechanism if you don't put something below the motor to stop that from happening. 4. Small nit. There is a larger black gear shown at 1:07 that is not included in the Bill of Materials shown at 0:50 Great idea, but wish I had better luck with it.
I know, that little motor is weak for that beast, and the gear train should be secured better. That's why I put the acceleration and deceleration ramps in the program, to avoid gears from slipping!
Yeah, and it is even possible faster, check this out: ua-cam.com/video/z98aziYGjF4/v-deo.html but he is crazy, he also put motors into the Tumbler and the 1989 Batmobile.
The hub occupies some space and I don't know where the lights and sounds controller goes. If you don't mind removing the ejectable seat, they might fit together
Depends on the light kit. There are many different. You shouldn't buy one that replaces the motor under that hood though, not neccesary. I know this motorization ua-cam.com/video/z98aziYGjF4/v-deo.html promotes that a light kit still fits after and tells you which one.
Grande Daniele! Ancora complimenti
@@profBricks sto aspettando tutti i pezzi e appena provo a montarli ti farò sapere.

I always wanted a ecto-1 rc car
Now you can get one!
ok
Will the lights and sound kit work as well?

I believe the controller replaces the "engine" under the hood

Ciao.
