I love the OG MurderNova! It's such an iconic car at this point. Street Outlaws was built on the respect and reputation of Shawn and the OG! Shawn and the OG deserve to be in the drag racing Hall of Fame! I said, fight me if you disagree!

Be prepared to be gobsmacked by the price of fuel for the trucks. Our brothers to the North pay absurd taxes beyond the actual price of fuel. It's possible that some of the taxes are subject to rebates - I don't know. I certainly would look into it. Fellow morons, is it subject to rebate?

The suspension wear for a trailered car is actually worse than if it was driving since the suspension doesn't have the rotating wheel/tire also dampening the shock of bumps. That large mass rotating resists sudden up/down movements way more than most people realize.
That's why he puts an airbag under the car to keep the suspension from moving to much
@stephenphillips4507 To be frank , I'm fairly confident they went to using the bladders under the car because they kept breaking shocks and were told they would help prevent that, not because they understood why it was happening so much.

B.C. is a beautiful province but expensive. Make sure you fill your tanks before you leave Alberta. Wish I could be at Mission Race way park, my home track. The band I work for is playing a festival in Alberta that weekend. The track is as flat as can be and sea level is river. (Fraser River)

Definitely understand the bladder thing. We have just a bracket 69’ Nova and we broke a rear shock mount and the bar it’s attached to, just pulling down to Ennis! Had no idea bags were that inexpensive. Safe travels to/from Canada and good luck up there!!

I love the OG, especially on 28’s, I don’t think that thing should ever see big tires and wheelie bars again, but when either of you guys mention selling the NPK car, I get a little emotional discomfort, the first couple years were not great with it, but the last two, especially this year with the white wrap, that car has earned its place.

@@187Customs you'd be surprised how crappy air travel is within canada. it's why a lot of people cross over the border and fly out of the US to where ever they're going in canada.

one very important thing Shawn forgot to mention is towing across country you trash the sidewall of your slicks which is probably more important than your shocks lets face it your slicks sidewall has a very short lifespan and to travel from Oklahoma to the Westcoast of Canada forget your slicks bro they are done

That's just like when a race engine sits for a while not used it's best to slack off the rockers that way the valves springs are not sitting under tension and that it will save your valve train doing that then leaving it all under tension and wonder why you breaking valve springs and rockers when you fire it up.
