When acquiring my education at university , I took a great deal of history courses. I have always been fascinated with the past. And find myself fairly knowledgeable. Most documentaries or programs sort of regurgitate information and I find it lacking something interesting or that different factor. I absolutely love these videos. You have fresh perspective and the input really gets one thinking. It's fresh. I can't get enough.
I enjoyed the voice so I left it playing while I nap. I had the most bizarre dreams. Yes, the voice is lovely, but the content does not make for a nice dream. :D

ACTUALLY. During the middle ages, it was thought that a woman couldn't get prego unless she had an orgasm, SO ACCORDING TO THE CHURCH , the husband was obligated to make his wife orgasm every time they had sex, because having kids was a sacred thing.

The school System has failed us in every way. Especially with history. All of my history teachers were basketball Or football coaches who didn’t care at all and we just run through a book and fill out a quiz. Shame
If rape isn't supposed to result in pregnancies, how then did they explain pregnancies in cases of rape in times of war? I'm sure those must have been common place.
Theres a reason horse theft was worse than stealing a cloak. People rely on the horse for survival. Comparing the 2 crimes is like comparing grand theft auto to shop lifting. Even today those bring entirely different sentences.
I heard somewhere that some of the lower classes could read and write and even do math, they were just taught by family members and in their own language/ grammar, not latin tho oc. The same text about that also stated that in the middle ages you were illiterate if you couldn´t read or write latin, so today most of us are also considered "illiterate" in that regard. Idk if that´s true, it might depend on the time period, (and maybe region?) since the middle ages span from the year 500 untill 1500.
