Things might have begun rolling downhill with the boomers, but this perpetual idea that it's all their fault, will lead us to ruin. Because people won't look at their own generation's actions. Millennials and Gen Z either of which I could be a part of at 29, are leading us straight off the cliff while performing a 3 stooges skit instead of trying to stop it. @@K1ng1995 I think that there are two reasons why people don't want to work anymore. the first is that they have been taught that their ambition is destructive and that anything they would have wanted to do will just burn electricity that they believe is a more finite resource than it actually is. The second is that because fewer people are being ambitious leaders, those who tend to be followers don't have anyone to inspire them to work for them.

Back when we had 2 billion people, we worried about things like this... and there is some merit. However, now with over 8 billion, there are fewer starving than there was then. This is because people forget that first, new people come up with new ideas (including how to feed more with the same farms); and second, that if you have no needs, you might never try to improve - indeed, necessity is the mother of invention, and contentment breeds complacency.

It always give me so much hope when I begin to think of the small mountains, we each individually climb in our own lives. Imagine what we could accomplish together, even as families. We humans are resilient and smart, clearly not what the elites think in their big egos; We are engineers, scientists, architects, we think and philosophize, even down to farmers, welders, electricians, and plumbers. As long as humans have existed, we adapt and to think we wont adapt and climb over the most insurmountable mountains is crazy! We humans are incredible, we shaped the world and are its stewards, we both have saved creatures from extinction and made creatures disappear, we've built mountains and flattened them, we've built lakes from nothing and made seas disappear, we've grown entire forests and turned old forests into farms, we've thrived in inhospitable climates and built cities there; Hell we've even been to the moon, off of this world. beautiful video, I've been seeing a lot of pessimism for 15 years already, people are always bombarded with the worst of the world and pushed into politics with the idea that "everything is political", after years of navigating prophesized climate armageddon, technological slavery and anti-human propaganda, what I learned is that what is important is to care for your family and friends, to build a little community of good people, if the apocalypse came they are the people I'm betting on surviving.
The effect I've seen over my nearly 60 years is that the Powers That Be want a large population of mindless workers and a small population of people to manage them to support a handful of people that own everything. This means training the Middle Class to be largely incapable of reproduction, but not the lower class. People that live in apartments and work all the time make spend as they're told, and don't make trouble. It's people that own property and have leisure that can threaten The Ruling Class. There's something to the film Idiocracy, but it's no documentary. It's not about resources; it's about control.
Totally agree. But the middle class property owners are too afraid to even live without the federal government, which these people control. I feel it's the central bank causing most of the problem. Weak and strong men always exist side by side. It's just that hard times tend to kill a lot of people, leaving only the hard men to struggle on. The solution is therefore to make sure that the right people get to the right places where they can do a lot of good, and to get the weakminded out of the places where they can do a lot of harm. The problem is containing people in a system where only 2% actually produce anything. 10 billion people would be no problem if 60% of those people produced food rather than being conditioned to be non-productive consumers. I've always felt that the people arguing for population control are people who're in favour of either communist control or living under a dictator. Most people I know who've argued for it outright say so with no shame. I can't imagine anyone who believes in human ingenuity coming to the control conclusion that we'd have to cull the population. There are too many interacting variables and too much inherent unpredictability to make models of these complex systems that are our world.

Honestly, I blame the American baby boomers during the '80s aka Reaganomics, I mean it was all about excess, bigger houses, bigger paychecks, and boats, faster cars. I mean look at the attitude of most people nowadays. It's all about "More".
I also don't think it's overpopulation it's more about how the population doesn't seem to want to work.
@K1ng1995 Aydin Paladin is an autistic treasure of data on this site.
Sure people don't want to work. But they're also greedy, entitled, jealous, and demanding. Covid ruined so many, who got to sit around all day and not work, but get paid anyway. Now they want they drug back. They don't care about the damage, in fact they've found the can just "blame capitalism" and stop thinking about the damage.
The "boomers" can only be blamed so much. Millennials are in their 30s now, and fucking it up. Gen Z is hitting adulthood and is the most socialist a generation has been in America. Socialism. An ideology synonymous with failure. They're jealous, angry, hateful in the extreme, vapid and like all youth are... so sure they know best.
When I was a kid, my parents (boomers) railed against the types who thought to assign blame rather than face a problem. And now all these years later, it hasn't changed.
I find it funny all the people that think others should die to save "humanity" never offer up their life to achieve the salvation they claim is needed. Similar to most fighting to stop the use of oil, plastic, various ores and metals, etc., nearly never choose to follow what they believe and give up such things.

May I suggest a classic in the Anime community: Tengen Toppa Gurren Laggan. I think it really speaks to the perseverance of the human spirit to solve problems and further advance ourselves to higher levels instead of letting ourselves be torn down and subjugated by those who think they know better.
its not a phukin "cmmunity" reetard cartoon sheople ... its a clique of spiritually immature "geeks" with a phalic pronoun ...
Gretta Thornburg In The Video Pin Has Me Dieing With Laughter 🤣🤣🤣..
Even the movie Soylent green looks better then the smart cities and surveillance technologies we all have to deal with today.
They had no idea about Mouse Utopia
This truly opened my eyes and made me want to live better and find some way to make my own slice of the world we live in as best as i can make it. What is a man if he dose not take what he has and make it better for him and those around him.
Notice the places with the most controls on trade are the ones that most resemble the Soylent green world
All the people who profess concern for humanity do not actually care much about people.
I was made to watch Soylent green when i was a child in public school. I want to say I was about 5 years old. I am now 43 and i have always wondered why this movie was part of the school curriculum? We were also told to "Stay up on current events & always question authority" ??? I have many questions
The population of the earth has doubled since I was in high school. Then it was about 4 billion.
so
The growth has been on the decline in recent years though. Less people are having sex and producing children. More people are aborting kids, more people are transitioning and killing their fertility. Though China did away with their 1 child policy so maybe it will be everywhere but china declining.
@@Jarickowell those don’t happen everywhere. There are places on this planet where they are increasing the population.
The problem is containing people in a system where only 2% actually produce anything. 10 billion people would be no problem if 60% of those people produced food rather than being conditioned to be non-productive consumers. But the system maintains control by separating people from their own self-reliance. It is done intentionally. This requires synthetic food production systems that wreak havoc on the Earth and eventually fail.
Every now and then I stumble across a youtube video that really speaks to my soul. Thank you so much for this.
Ponce Charlie “ we need four more earths to sustain the whole of humanity “ we will do with ppl like him helping himself to everybody else’s share of resources , they never want to volunteer to be the first candidate to start their projects
Overpopulation is not the real problem here. It is billionaires families with their megacorporations with consumerism are the problem.
so, the few rich are the problem, not the poor that don't work and do nothing but consume? i guess i know who you are - just curious, what day does your welfare check show up each month?
remember, thank the american people for paying for your lazy ass - so you can eat while you do nothing but hate people who actually work. :)
Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

my favorite quotes/line of all time
My high school history teacher, had him for American and World History, started every class with this line. He said "if I do nothing else, I will put this quote in your mind forever". Yep he did😂😂. Thank you Mr Christianson😊
Soylent Green and Blade Runner scared the heck out of me when I saw them in theaters. And although it isn’t quite as bad as the movies depicted it, we are headed towards a dystopian future, and it is not hard to see what is coming.
No it isn't hard because the Gl o b a list tells you what is coming. It's planned & man made. They will not succeed.
Ironically, Bill is one of the least crazy people on the left.
He's right about a lot of things, but when he's wrong, he's very wrong.
Ha, ha. That's saying a lot. Today he only sounds reasonable, when compared to his contemporaries.
there are no "least crazy" people on the Left.
His pockets are lined with velvet red - Crimes against humanity.
20:40- it’s easy to understand the relationship of business to government: any business seeking a relationship is seeking protection from more able competitors, called “disruptors”.
Pre " Members Only " Jacket Chuck is wearing.
The elites got rich because of all the people.
But they perceive themselves as gods so they must play god & control everything 🤷🏼♂️
I've always felt that the people arguing for population control are people who're in favour of either communist control or living under a dictator. Most people I know who've argued for it outright say so with no shame. I can't imagine anyone who believes in human ingenuity coming to the control conclusion that we'd have to cull the population.
My dad in recent years has started on that path. He keeps apologizing to me and my siblings, saying that he thinks it's unfair that he brought us into a world that's set to collapse. It's so strange to hear that from a parent. He's old, I don't know if that has anything to do with it. But during the covid lockdown in Canada he became more steadfast in views, saying that it shows the government could take care us and manage the population. I really hated it, lol.
Christ!! That’s crazy! Have you introduced him to Patrick Moore?
He’s apologizing bc he sees the writing on the wall. There very well could be an event in the not so distant future that might cause great suffering & a lot of death.
I’m just glad I was able to experience life in the 80’s & 90’s. I really feel sorry for those who are growing up in this present day world.
Remember John Bell when "confuse" immunization w/ sterilization😂
"What's Fukushima?". Already in progress.
"We need about seven billion of you gone" -,is that a quote from Meadows or do you not consider yourself a part of the seven billion?
Do Watchmen it was released on March 6, 2009. There are many topics in the film which reflect to the real world.
Malthusianism was the mentality that turned the Irish Potato Famine into the worst humanitarian disaster that Ireland ever had. Malthusianism was the mentality that turned the Bengal Famine into the worst humanitarian disaster that the Indian Subcontinent had ever endured. In both cases, the British denied food aid to the famine-afflicted area with the excuse that the locals "bred like rabbits".
Malthus was wrong since we can produce like never before and our last concerns since food production is skyrocketing would be limited natural resources (Malthus said natural resources and food production would have ran out entirely by the 1950's) is about to get solved by space exploration, assuming we cease to receive mineral rains from space on a daily basis. So is anyone who believes the problem to be people and not the government's obsolete administrative systems.
Im 75 now. In 1960 i was 12 i distinctly remember walking down the street listening to my little transistor radio and i heard the news say we had 3 billion people on the planet at that time! It tripled in my lifetime alone. I do think we have too many people.
My fears must be your concern. There's nothing misguided, it is pure tyranny.
