I saw them live last year in NYC. They put on a heck of a show.
Saw them in San Francisco and they were absolutely excellent in every way.
Love this ... Jayoung has such great control over her voice.
Saw them in play live in London in January and it’s one of the best concerts I’ve been too. I think the drummer had the biggest reaction from the audience following her drum solo, and it was well deserved as she is always on point and always gives 100% , not to mention those eyes.......but they are all very talented, and the lead singer also plays keyboards. They are not a manufactured band(unlike most K-Pop groups) they were formed from 2 bands and I believe they all went to the same music college. Thank you for your support of Rolling Quartz 😊

This is a cover song of major hit in Korea by Maya, which is very clever in that parents of some younger fans will be brought into the fold. They made no huge changes from the original so that mom and dad would know it right away.
The background of the song (original by Maya) is even more potent when you know the background of the chorus and the poem "Azalea" by the poet Kim So Wal:
When you feel disgusted looking at me
And if you feel like leaving me
I will let you go without saying a word
From Yaksan (Mountain) in Yongbyon
I will bring an armful of azaleas
I will lay the azalea flowers on the path you’d walk
Softly, lightly, take one step after another on the fresh flowers
as you go away
When you leave, feeling disgusted looking at me
Even in death, no tears will flow.
The song's chorus is (as per the translation on the video):
When you leave, sick of me
I'll let you leave without a word.
I'll gather armfuls of azaleas
From Yaksan in Yongbyon to spread along your path
Tread softly light and silent on the flowers as you go
When you leave, sick of me
I won't cry even if it kills me.
As you can see, the chorus is very much based upon the poem. Although the song's lyrics on the face of it is seem as the story of someone watching their lover leave them, the original poem was considered an act of defience in the early 1900s when Korea was brutally oppressed and ruled by Japan. The sentiment is that Korea won't cry once Japan's rulers got sick of controlling Korea - I believe the Azalea is a spring flower and so where it represents the birth of a new year where colour and life blooms up from the cold, harsh and darker winter times, the flower methaphorically represents the dawning of a bright new future where life and warmer happier times grow out of the "cold harsh winter" that was the occupation.
The original version from Maya has a music video showing various military action and what looks like resistance fighters. The original might be worth clecking out on its own.

I have never heard of RQ, till a month ago. These ladies are very very good. I still haven't got their names down yet, with the exception, Iree Guitar, and Arem Bass. I am not usually a big fan girls / ladies with tats. But with Arem. It's different. Their vocalist is very good, drummer definitely has a different style, but I like it. They are all really good. I look forward to hearing more from them.
LOVEBITES will be in OKC, OK in September.
As far as I know, they aren't touring the States right now, and I think they are wrapping up their European tour, if they haven't finished already. I'm guessing that they probably will come back soon.

@@PANIC_aka_PinD I'm in Kansas, and just north of us it they are getting hammered with hail, high winds and a bunch of the area is under tornado warnings. I"m guessing you will probably get more snow over the next few days.
@@markhayes9004 Have you seen toto :p ? I am in Detroit and it will be way too warm to snow :) . None in the forecast for Detroit .... that is how I was able to drive just a few hours last spring to see Rolling Quartz in Chicago, and again in the fall at a festival in Toronto :) . Minneapolis is too far away and I am not a comic-con person ... so i will miss this USA stop but hopefully they will visit again this year. There are a LOT of fans here.

Thank you for covering them I have been a fan for 3 and a half years this song Azalea is on of my favorites the beginning sounds like Lynyrd Skynyrd " Simple Man" it's a great ballad. I totally get why your love is Yeongeun the drummer she is too cute for words and I have noticed while she drumming she will give you the "Look". Enjoyed the reaction. They toured the US last summer and recently wrapped up a European tour. Like the Japanese bands, all their shows sold out quickly. Unfortunately , I missed them. But with the success of the tours, hopefully they'll book another US tour this year. Yeong Eun is cute, but she can be yours. Hyunjung (muscular legs) is mine!
Any of the self bootleg videso oh and tghe tour diary vids give you a taste of how they treat fans. They payed Seattle in a club that only holds 200. The largest crowd on the NA tour was in Toronto for the Toronto Korea freindnship festival .
