If i remember correctly it didn’t sell anywhere near enough hard copies and didn’t do very well in Japan, but I could be wrong.

@@milespazin2314 That’s exactly why anime series are made-to sell books. If they don’t sell well, a second season will never happen. I liked this show a lot and would have appreciated another season.

Such an underrated show. I enjoyed it a lot when it came out many years ago. A shame it never got a second season.
Also this needs to be said: the OP and ED are both INCREDIBLE! Love them so much!
I recommend this anime to those who like war, strategies and compelling stories.

The biggest thing that got me was the food they had. Are you seriously trying to tell me this place has Corn fields, Coconut, Peppers, and Bananas? I means sure they likely had some food with them, but I doubt they'd take most of those items. If only because of the amount of space they'd take up. Also assuming that they that most of those food items are things that they had with them, they're really shooting themselves in the foot by eating so much all at once. Filling themselves up, will slow them down, and they're in a survival situation right now. So they really want to spread that food out.
