    I’m decluttering my whole house now and love these tips.
    I’ve got my organizational routine down pat and 3 great donation sites, a consignment store and a small trailer to haul stuff to the dump.
    One thing I practice too is if I’m shopping and like something I pause and tell myself not now, and that it will be there if I really want to go get it another time. I’m saving a lot of money and stress with this self talk.
    Another thing I call my nighttime routine “putting my house to bed” and I really sleep better knowing my house will be tidy to wake up to.
    I’ve been retired 2 years and will be down sizing so I’m really sticking to my plan. Hubby and I have over 40 years of stuff to go through and it is not easy. AND our kids do not want any of it.

    Caution about immediately washing a hot pan once you're done cooking. It can warp if you don't let it cool some.

      Exactly. Plus you need to get rid of fat and not put it down the sink which creates work further on.

    Some great tips, but i am cringing at the constant water running in all these clips! Seriously, its a precious resource just because you have the privilege of running water doesn’t mean you need to simply let it run down the drain 😪😡🤬

      It's not as extreme as you suggest. There are a couple of stills of water running and a couple of video clips of washing up under a running tap. If you're in the UK like me, you don't wash up under a running tap, but Americans do. If you ever watch videos looking at differences between the two countries, this is something that comes up regularly. I hate to waste water because it is precious and the more I use, the more it costs me!

    My SIL used to give me knick knacks, even when I told her I have no spot or use for it. She just made a spot. It was quite menagerie of useless stuff I ended up dusting and one day I just put it all in the trash. She never said a word and never gave me anything else.

      What they mean by flat surfaces is to keep tables, countertops and any other surfaces clear, clean & tidy with minimum stuff on top. This way the place looks much more pleasant.

    • @kayo5291
      @kayo5291 4 місяці тому +1

      @@ورودونعيم Indeed, but is there really any point to specify “flat surfaces” should be kept clutter free? What other kind of “surfaces” are there? Basically this means that in order to declutter your home, you should keep your home clutter-free 🤓
