My score for 1883 directed by Taylor Sheridan is out now on Sony Music/Milan Records: 1883 Score Volume I available here: hyperurl.co/1883vol1 #BrianTyler #1883 #Yellowstone
We never skipped the intro. It set the mood for what was to come. An outstanding episode of depth and feeling. It was an emotional roller coaster. One that made you sit and just ponder afterwards…
1883 was a masterpiece of storytelling equalled by the haunting score. The entire series was an emotional rollercoaster that for me personally, had a resounding and lasting effect long after the season finale. Brutal, unforgiving, heartbreaking and beautiful. Its absolutely up there with any western to date.
@@croby95 You’re laughably absurd. Acting is fantastic, especially considering most of the actors are unknowns. Music is phenomenal. Character development is on point. You can go from smiling in one scene to gut wrenching in the next. You don’t need any context from Yellowstone to enjoy this show. And the fact it’s only one season makes it a rare gem.
@@nickhill4896 It should have been longer. The last few episodes felt as though they rushed through large periods of time on the group’s journey. Elsa’s infatuation with the Native fellow was also questionably soon after the demise of her previous, seemingly very serious relationship. Perhaps, one could excuse this by arguing that, consumed with grief, she was somewhat desperate to rush into another comforting, loving relationship. Still seemed a bit quick to me.
Agreed. I had to wait a couple of months to start 1923, even though I was eager to get back into that universe. I had to "wean" myself off of 1883 first! I had to mourn those characters, litteraly.
Very well said game of thrones was the closest to accomplishing this with one of the main themes in the last episode of the show when Daenerys dies and the main theme is slowed down and played by violin
This one of the most beautiful and moving stories I’ve ever had the pleasure of watching. The entire team that put this story together did such an incredible job. I hate that it was only one season, but what a season it was.
@@keithtaylor7606 I know now. The one I liked out of the Yellowstone franchise and it ends. Tried watching Yellowstone but didn't like one character on the show. Just everyone trying to screw the other people. And that isn't interesting to me.
One simply does not skip this intro, once this started playing it drew me in even more. I just imagine sitting in a mountain somewhere in Montana looking at the beautiful landscape ❤❤
@BrianTylerComposer Mr. Tyler, You are a genius composer! The music from both Yellowstone and 1883 are my most favorite music in my LIFETIME and I am not exaggerating! Thank you!❤
The music for this show is absolutely beautiful and amazing. As I remember the opening music for Band of Brothers It could bring you to tears because of the power it had over a listener…
It reminds me of the unknown. A adventure and the American spirit of overcoming I guess. Not good with words but it was the perfect song for this show.
I binged watched the entire mini series and cried like a baby during episode 10. Chilling opening theme and one of the best soundtracks in a long time.
1883 is really another masterpiece, I think besides the best director, writers, actors, and all people behind the series, the theme song is really connected to the emotions behind the journey. In my opinion, if the composition was something else the series couldn't become famous only because of the stars and the team.
My dad doesn't usually sit down to watch movies, let alone tv series. But this one caught his attention one day when he and my mom were browsing through Prime. They watched the first episode, which was free on there. He loved it so much that I got Paramount+ just for him so he can watch it. He would always be pissed off that he had to wait a whole week to watch the next episode. XD But I'd say it was worth it.
This was one of the best shows I've watched in years, but sometimes it was so sad I just couldn't binge on it - could only handle one episode at a time until I finished the series. The music is some of the best I've heard, and really fits the story.
Brian Tyler. Man. I have never looked up a composer while watching a show before. He is the first for me. I love and appreciate music in general, don’t get me wrong. I have just never really made an effort to find out who was behind the music in what I have watched before. But this piece MOVED me, I felt like it carried my soul along the strings. I stopped the show and looked up the music, found the composer, stuck in some sound cancelling headphones to fully appreciate it, and closed my eyes and listened to this theme on a loop several times to fully savor all of its gorgeous nuances. I explored his other work too. I came back to this one again, just to see if it could lift my soul repeatedly and it did. Absolutely incredible. Somehow, in these notes, he seems to have captured the human spirit, much like the spectacular writing on this show (also the first writer I looked up). The writing on this show is so poetic, so reflective. I absolutely love the narration that almost mimics the way a book might be written. It tells such a truly human story, and somehow, this music theme seemed to echo the writing, as though it is telling the same story itself. Magical. I’m in love with it ❤
Tyler and Vivian are MASTERS at creating beautiful, haunting soundtracks to all of the Yellowstone stories. Pure genius! They always bring tears to my eyes. So lush and gorgeous but also hinting at the tragedies surrounding the Dutton family. 😞💔💔
The story telling is the greatest part. Seems like it got all too much for Costner who may have been hitting heads over story lines for Yellowstone. You can't stand in the way of masterpieces like this show. Of all the series 1883 has been the best. As someone who loves imagery, the photos used in the start ups showing the characters posing and the LUTS used was masterpiece. And the depiction on the Indians...
This score did so much to further the storyline and help set the mood for the drama that is 1883. What a wonderful pair, a great show and an outstanding score.
The feeling of this music is awesome!! It is like drinking a fine Brandi or a Konak!! Bitter and sweet, Sad and happy, Motivating and depressing all at the sometime I love it!!! Brian Tyler your an out F***ing-standing musician composer, producer and conductor. You get a 10 out of 10, Bravo Sir!!!
This track is beautiful beyond words. I get goosebumps every time I hear this song. It is one of my favorite pieces. I am obsessed. Thank you so much for this beautiful music. ❤️
The theme song is great. The overall score is the most perfect accompaniment to an movie I’ve ever seen. This should win every award out there. Well done!
What a brilliant show, didn’t know what to expect after Yellowstone was so spectacular. I was blown away, and the theme tune is really moving why given the option anyone would skip the credits is beyond me
Top 5 favorite soundtracks of all time. I’ve been so used to the salon shootout style of movies/tv shows and this “adventure” western with this music literally fucking kills me with emotions.
Incredible theme, i love it. Everytime i hear that song, i got tears in my eyes. It sounds so emotional. Just beautiful. Thank you for this masterpiece!
Music has a inspiring message. Some of sadness, some of triumph, and I think this is one example. To one person this theme song of "1883" is a paradox in relation to what you can receive by hearing it.
This music sends chills down my body. It embodies the suffering, the heartbreak, the gut-wrenching loss, the breaking down, and the sheer determination to survive such an epic journey... hoping that it will pay off with a better, safer and even sweeter life. It is impossible to skip the intro because it simply and perfectly set the mood for the show. Even though we all knew the show would end once they reached their destination, it was difficult to let go of these people and their story.
This is one incredible series all the events that happened ahhh and the narration to top it all off one of the best sound tracks….speechless to say the least, it mentally and emotionally broke me down❤❤
I love this show soo much. They really do show you the beautiful times and the ugly times of living back then. The beautiful is the scenery and what not that elsa shows us through her telling words and the ugliness is the brutalness of the world around them. No laws, just you and the land.
