- The Minelab GPZ 7000 is one of my favorite detectors for going very DEEP when hunting Gold Nuggets. In this video I will share some start up settings to get you familiar with the machine and in some of my upcoming videos we will go more in depth. So pull up a chair and off we go...

On the Threshold adjustment I was in "threshold pitch" because of the bright sun, this setting adjusts the threshold to your hearing and the actual volume is another setting I will go over later... Thanks for watching.
If I ever win the lottery I'll be calling you for one of those GPZ 7000s. Now I have to remember to buy a lottery ticket...thanks Bill.
Thanks for sharing the info and set up for that machine. Wishing you luck finding those nuggets. Take care.
Thanks for showing us the GPZ 7000 unit. Very interesting, informative and entertaining. Now... get off your hiny and get some shiny !
LOL OK Grant
A day in the sun doin what ya love is always good ... the nugs will come.
Thanks for sharing Sir.
Great run through of the machine Bill, on our wish list for sure. Hope you enjoyed our peach cobbler. Cheers for sharing, happy hunting Alicia & Steve
Thank you my friends, it was good or should I say GREAT! She did a video on it....
@@NUGGETSHOOTER our notifications have been a mess on youtube, not coming through, off to play catch up.
Just brought a GPZ 7000 so thx for the driving tips see it I can get something tomorrow cheers mate
Have fun!
Good job showing us how to get started with the GPZ 7000
That’s is one awesome detector..
I bought one on their first release..but after 3 weeks had to sell it due to it being far too heavy for my BACK.. ( I think there is 1.3 kilometers of litz wire in that standard coil ) even with the harness and bungee cord.
Great information.
Cheers Tony.👍🤓🍺⛏

When you have bulged discs and worn out out joints in your spine... no harness can help you..!!
Cheers
Hey you two. Always enjoying your posts my friends. WOOHOO on Tammy's cobbler for sure. I have a casy Dutch oven just like yours. This scanner is really something else eh. It will be really interesting to see what will be coming from it for sure. Complicated beast eh. You know I am always liking your posts my friends.
We have been thinking about maybe picking a 7000 up I would love for you to go into more detail that would really help out our decision and I have a friend that has one and feels very intimidated by this machine. He was talked into it when it first came out and has never turned it on again if you could help by making him feel more comfortable with it a deeper explanation would help and be super awesome thanks for all your info. So far from this video it sounds pretty simple
Sadly many dealers sell these detectors and others without any training and this can lead to the very issue you mentioned. I will be putting up more on this great detector as I move along and your friend should perhaps seek training.
I knew that VLF detectors with a pre-set ground balance are factory tuned to ferrite. Interesting how this machine is first adjusted to the ferrite ring during the ground balancing process...looks like you would just swing over the actual ground matrix.
You are swinging over both and the ferrite ring helps the detector smooth out better, this is a whole different technology than VLF or PI and behaves differently by pulsing and receiving at the same time.
Thanks Bill for the information!
Pretty weather there ..love it ..thanks for the training session on the Minelab
Would the garrett atx pro deepseeker be ok for nugget hunting? Saw a video on one where an area had been hunted heavily for coins for years and the atx was finding what a lot of other detectors had missed. Thanks for the great vids!
It is indeed a great entry level PI detector and I found some gold with the one I had for a while.
Great video I only have the eureka gold machine but all I can say as soon as I retire I will be out there hunting the gold fields as much as possible.
Wow stable threshold. Oh and the wireless thing I noticed kept up with what was on the screen. No lag. 👍
That machine is a beast!
it is indeed...
Always great videos. Thanks Bill
thanks for a nice demo on the 7000!
Wow Bill that machine is awesome. Sort of resembles the 30-30
Damn good machine.
Is it normal practice to ground balance a7000 with a vehicle right behind you?
I was instructed to balance in clear ground with no metal or overhead wires , what is your opinion?
Great machine. Thx CR
Looks like a sweet machine I finlay got my gpx4500 an I need to get out an dig some holes bad. Carl HH
👍👍iyi şanslar...
Do you have or know of any GPZ7000s that are used for sale?

👍🏻great knowledge thanks
hey bill, thanks for another nice show !! you wouldn't have used machines for sale ? id like a nox800 if you do let me know im in sweden hope thats not a problem 👍
Right now I do not, but if I get a trade I will message you
@@NUGGETSHOOTER Thank you man..👍
Wow stable threshold.
Big boys toys ;)
Bu makinelere çok merakım var
If this was the only one you had would you be satisfied? It looks heavy
No the 7000 is a specialty detector, has it's place and time, but not all the time Jerrett
NUGGET SHOOTER JOURNALS thank you, for the time, I have seen you use the 800, do you think it would be a good starter. I have two cheep detectors, well I think they are, bounty hunter 4, and a bounty hunter discovery 3300. After the fact I learned 19 kHz or more is needed to pick up small nuggets.
I guess my only question is do you think the money spent is justified? Please comment..
Yes it has paid for itself, but it is a specialty detector and not my choice for everyday hunting
Ben turkiyede yaşıyorum. Bana minelap gpx 5000 dedektör kim hediye edebir acaba turkiyede misafir edebilirim. Şimdiden tsk
