This song has help me get through some very rough nights. As a fireman for over 38 years I have seen tragedies that have changed families lives . Witnessing people die regularly ,and then seeing their love ones trying to dealing with loss would tear into my soul. There would be times when as a fireman I would have to be a “stand-in “family member. I would be the last person that this dying person would see before passing away. I would try my very best to try to save them, but knowing full well that I would not be able to do so. I would return back to the station and turn on the shower so no one would hear me cry. This song helps me cope with these tragic memories. It is painful, but I know there is a Holy Mother. Thank you Eric Clapton.
