  • Just got this Cort Artisan Space 5. Seriously, I don’t how they could sell it at this price.

Sounds killer! I need this in 4 string version for BEAD tuning.

Finally someone posted a sound test. Any pros and cons from your own opinion? I've seen it on local webstore in our place. Nice playing btw.

The build quality and the play ability are great. You can get the action super low, if you want. The frets are great, no buzzes, no sharp edges at all. Solid hardware. It isn’t super light like many other headless basses. I guess it’s around +-3.5 kg.
I think the sound is kind of generic, but not by any means bad. The preamp’s high freq isn’t my cup of tea. The output is on the lower side, comparing to my other basses. I might change the preamp in the future.
All in all, it’s definitely a good bass for the money. I got this one NEW for less than usd550. don’t know how they manage to sell it at this price.

@@BassSoundLibrary I have two Ibanez SR basses with Bartolini, agree! preamps could be improved more by upgrades. I'm eyeing this one for my 1st headless. Thanks man.

I guess it's around 3.5-ish kg. (7.7 lb.). Not super light.

Compared with A5 Beyond/A5 Plus SCMS which one is better in terms of sound/tone and playability?
    Thanks

I’ve never played A5 beyond, but I had owned the scms before, briefly.
For the action, I like this one better. I can get the action super low on this one, without any buzzes at all. I remember that I did have some issues getting the action down on the scms. But ergonomically, SCMS is probably better. I’m not very used to playing headless bass, so it still feels weird while I’m standing.
Sound-wise, I’m not sure, since it was quite sometime ago that I had the SCMS. But i don’t think they differ that much. I’m planning to modify this one eventually, so I don’t really mind the sound.
      Hope this helps.

      @@BassSoundLibrary Thanks for answering.
What I think is SCMS has 35,5" on Low B and this one only 34" normal scale. So is it feel diferent in low B?
If the sound isn't too much different so I think this one will be great frame base for upgrading later.
Maybe pairing with delanos set. 😁

@@aditya.pratama I think the low B is steady enough for my test. For modding, I'm actually planning to put only one volume and that's it, no selector, no preamp. I just want it to be as aggressive and simple as possible, haha.
I'm not sure if I'm changing pickups or not. We'll see afterwards.

@@BassSoundLibrary I'm guessing it is very lightweight compared to 5 strings bass generally.

@@aditya.pratama not by much, I’ve seen lighter. I guess this one’s around 3.5 kg. Haven’t weighed it properly.
