  • osmo mobile 3 audio options for your iPhone... The new osmo mobile 3 from DJI has a better design for allowing audio attachments... The older osmo mobile had a side motor that you had to move along side to balance the roll axis... The new design now moves the motor away from the phones edge to allow iPhone users to plug a Apple adapter to the TRS to TRRS adapter so that you can fit a Lavalier microphone...

    Your the only video with the osmo 3 with a mic set up. I wonder if it’ll fit a Rode mic

    • @slifox2752
      @slifox2752  5 років тому +1

      Yes it will fit a rode mic easily...

      sli Fox the rode mic that goes into the lighting cable? It won't hit the motor on the side as it sticks out the mic

      @@TheMr3742 you shouldn't get any problems, I have proven that on video... you just need a trrs to trs converter for the apple earphone converter...

    Only problem i can see, NO provision to mount microphone, unless you use the the tripod mount at bottom, would be great to have screw mount in phone holder at top. Mine should arrive today

    Doesn’t the gimbal lose the balance because of additional weight of external microphone?

    • @slifox2752
      @slifox2752  4 роки тому +2

      No the weight of mic is very light

    Thanks for the helpfull video 💪👍. A question: Adding a mic or an adapter to this gimble does it affect the stability? When I tried on mic with cable, a lapell, my gimble did fold and I had to start over and over

    • @slifox2752
      @slifox2752  4 роки тому

      Yes the microphone adapter does add weight to my system... but if you have a light weight wireless connection like rode wireless go and fix it to the gimbal arm it wouldn’t be too much of a hassle... you would balance the phone when the gimbal is off then switch it on to see it run ok with you wireless system strapped on...

    Thanks for the video. I am very interested in the DJI Osmo Mobile 3. A couple of questions.
    1. do you find the cable hanging off the phone affects the stabilisation action of the gimbal and 2. do you find the 90 degree change in the mounting of the phone from the 2 to the 3 limits the range of movement of the mobile 3 in videoing a particular angle of view? Thanks

      Thanks for the support... in answer to your question... the thin iPhone audio dongle and rode wireless go ( red slinky) cable doesn’t effect the stability movement... The motor is fairly strong to handle the iPhone XR and 11 series phones... 2) hmmm the awkward moment of a crane shot is different on the osmo mobile 3... I am not used to the sideways lift as compared to the torchlight position of most gimbals... I guess it does limit it in a small way as you can’t go into a infinity spin like most gimbals... but besides that it seems fine... I have other gimbals for spinning... the mobile 3 is still good for low angle to high jib shots...

    Hope you can answer this few question brother.
    1) DJI Mimo app support external mic?
    2) What camera app you use for vlogging and support that bluetooth mic?
    Thank you.

      The apple headphone adapter and a trrs to trs converter is listed below the description bar is what I used for a wired microphone... the Bluetooth module is a transmitter and receiver that is wired to the iPhone... you can use a wireless go or other wireless solution... I only used the older Bluetooth thing because it’s cheap and was available to me at the time... yes I was using the Mimo app at the time...

    Can you stream Facebook live with this gimbal?

    • @slifox2752
      @slifox2752  5 років тому +1

      Open Facebook app and go live ( need a 4G connection and a data credits to live stream) The osmo mobile will work to stabilise and your app will stream... no need for the Mimo app in this scenario...
