The phone calls and texts, and how relatively methodical Chris acted, i don't see how this was ever deemed a 'sudden act of rage.' I completely agree he was not "himself" and after the fact we learned he had severe CTE but its just crazy to me how he did all that, but was coherent enough to leave calm/casual messages for Chavo. He even had, and i hate to use this word, he had the conscience enough to sedate Daniel before he killed him. Wild, man. Just wild.
I think that's why the roid rage theory has been pretty much dismissed.
Just classic media wanting to push their own narrative. Did WWE handle this poor? Most definitely, but the media is gonna have whatever narrative that suits them best.
His brain was that of 75 year old Alzheimer's patient in late stages
Benoit didn't do it. End of story.
@@bradlee3109 So, three unanswered deaths and that's "end of story"?? Lol what?? What's your theory? Please enlighten us....
It's highly likely the death of Chris Benoit's best friend Eddie Guerrero was the catalyst to what happened. Then there was all the damage to his brain likely from all the diving headbutts and the concussions. Benoit's autopsy showed that he had the brain of an 80 year old man with Alzheimer's and severe CTE. The whole thing was tragic.
Thank you Steve you said at the you did it you did it perfectly I want to be able to put in another words rest in peace Nancy rest in peace Daniel

It's easy to look at this 15 years on and say they botched their reaction. If they had said nothing that first night they would have been completely vilified by the fans for not giving him a tribute or ringing the bell for him. Everyone already knew about the deaths before Vince was on TV that night. It was a damned if you do damned if you don't moment. If it had turned out they had all been robbed and murdered and WWE hadn't already spoken about it the fans would never have let them forget it.
Sometimes you have to just say screw the fans and what they think.
They should've waited for all the evidence.
They could have just cancelled the show and said "we're all in shock", and then did the tribute show if it was a home invasion. It was extremely naive at best- I'm pretty sure that, when a family are all found dead, it's far more often a murder suicide than a home invasion. At the very least, it's unlikely home invaders would kill a little boy.
@@mankytoesI think invadors wouldnt care if its a little or boy or wife or main person to be aimed. I am trying to say that sometimes they also save childs too by killing them because then a child would have trauma for rest of its life knowing he/her survived the invasion but was asleep during the time of parents death. In war they also kill man kids because kids remember a lot..sure they let wife & child or children go but its all depending on person to person.
They knew about the deaths but it didn't start coming out till later that day or the next day what had actually happen vince would have never paid tribute to Chris if he knew what had happened beforehand
We remember from Owen Hart..The show must go on.Some say Vince is right, some say Vince is wrong. But Vince will always put the business over the person.
Vince helped cover up Jimmy Snuka's murder of Nancy Argentino, he's a totally amoral person.
It'll be 15 years to the day that is so chilling. I struggle to believe that he did this still. Sadly there has never been evidence to really contradict the savage events that happened. RIP Woman and Danny

@@Captain_AAhab To be fair, the only people who know what actually took place are dead. When you get down to it, all we have is an exceptionally safe bet.
Im fairly confident that Chris committed a heinous murder. However, fairly confident is not 100% certain. Nobody can be 100% certain.
I remember when this first happened, I told my mom that this kind of reminded me of the Donnie Moore story. Donnie Moore was a baseball pitcher for the California (now Los Angeles) Angels from 1985-88. He infamously gave up a home run to Dave Henderson in Game 5 of the 1986 American League Championship Series against the Boston Red Sox after only needing one more strike to send the Angels to the World Series for the first time.
Just three years later that summer, Donnie Moore (who was no out of baseball) shot his wife during a domestic dispute before turning the gun on himself. He's wife Tonya, miraculously survived but it has been said that Donnie killed himself in the presence of at least one of his young son's.
Vince's interview on the Today show made him look like a complete sociopath.

Are you saying he isn't?
@@CurlyFromTheSwirly Simce I'm not a psychologist and can't be in a position to diagnose him, If you watch enough Vince interviews,, hiss proverbial mask never fails to slip. Yes I suspect by I can prove it... Just like the IJ Simpsons jury.
I say this with no malicious intent, but Tony acts like a real life version being insulated from the outside world. Lastly, I wouldn't be remotely surprised if he was on the spectrum:: there's no way he got look sid before .,
This channel is a gem. Great work.
This is how wwe turned pg
Some things never leave your mind I was only a kid and still remember it like yesterday
Same.
Same here. I was 11 when this happened.
@Josh Traffanstedt yes Josh i agree Chris was exceptional at his craft and for that he deserves praise... what really happened that weekend we'll never really know but in my opinion there's a lot being covered up.
Please don't say you believe everything your media come out and say.... The US is the most corrupt place ever.... listen to the chavo interview he even said he was on the phone with Chris and someone came to the door, no mention of that in police report... I'm not saying chris didn't do it I'm just saying there's more to it, it's easier to blame someone in the ground who can't defend themselves.
There's a definite conspiracy going on here look into the wiki pages his wife was announced dead 14hrs before they found her, I don't think Chris was in the head space to go changing that,Kevin sulivan is a massive satanist no one mentions ( like most the global leaders my own royal family at the top of that list )
Rip to the Benoit family
Paul Heyman described the event of the Benoit murder/suicide best.
He was only partially right. I think MVP's statement is more correct.
"3 people died, only one person had a choice. So if that's your boy, fuck you!"
~Paul Heyman
I remember being so shocked when this happened.
Despite the horrific tragedy and whatever else he may be, Benoit is and always will be one of the greatest technical profesional wrestlers ever.
There will never be a good reason. There will never be anything close to acceptable. But one of the hardest questions to ask is simply "Why Chris"?
Some people are just bad
I don't think they should have waited, they did the right thing and paid tribute to Chris Benoit but never mentioned him again after that tribute.
This was truly shocking to me leaving the states for Europe for 3 months being In a Cali Airport on my way home seeing the magazines I simply couldn't believe it. R.I.P to both Souls 🙏
It wasn't as bad. Sure, WWE gets mocked now for rushing this show but it gave the wrestlers and the audience a chance to say goodbye to the wrestler Benoit and to grief before the real person made this impossible.
I don't believe in a conspiracy. I believe, Benoit killed his wife because of a mental illness as a result of his brain damage. Then he had to kill his son and himself because he couldn't see his son grew up in a world where Benoit killed his mother. Poor souls, all of them.
What I can't understand, that Chavo didn't do anything after receiving the text. I mean, I don't think, he could have saved anyone but those texts, the ones with the dogs and the adress, were clear red flags.
I agree completely with you
May he burn in hell
Let me guess. Julia is white. We all know white people love to make excuses when white people do something horrible. Benot killed his own child because he is was a coward. There are tons of people who suffer concussions and they don't kill their own kids.
But Chavo would have save them
This also sort of reminds me of this horrific tragedy involving this child actress named Judith Barsi, who was murdered via gunshot by her father, József in July 1988. Her father also murdered her mother, Maria and poured gasoline on their bodies before he set the gun on himself.
I still can't believe this happened.
When someone has such a badly damaged brain, the person that you knew is barely a shell of their former self. Its a sad thing to witness. The whole tragedy that befell that family is just that: tragic.
I remember Regals sketchy tribute, for years wondering what Regal meant, if he knew something because of how his tribute looked...
Then Regal Confirmed as he was going to give his thoughts, JBL said to Regal 'do you think he had something to do with it'
to expect WWE to accept responsibility of some kind for what Benoit did is ridiculous. I'm not saying WWE are saints or innocent, but Benoit is the one and only to 'blame'.
Absurd video. It's easy to criticize the WWE now. How in the world could anyone have predicted such a monstrous end?? They figured, Chris and his family died in a tragic accident, and wanted to pay him respect.
immediately with no news or finding out what actually happened. just immediate vince sawe money. he did the same thing with continuing over the edge 99 after owen's death.
Chris Jericho said one minute The WWE would paid tribute to Chris Benoit and then the next minute erased Chris Benoit like he never existed!
Rip Nancy and Daniel. It was crazy when the story came out . He was one mine and everyone favorite wrestler. No one ever suspected he would ever do that and he was a monster but you never know what is really going on in someone’s mind. Praying for the family affected by Nancy & Daniel’s death
I cannot begin to imagine processing that crime scene
It hurst so much.Benoit was one of 4 wrestlers that bonded me n my dad to watch wrestling. Rey, Eddie, and Brock. Benoits wrestling legacy sabotage, and the poor life's of his son n wife. How I wish I was a wrestler and help him get mental health n resources.
Oh man... I remember EXACTLY where I was when I found out the news. And I mean EXACTLY. Where I was standing, what I was wearing, the conversation, and the time on the clock.
Long story short, an indie wrestler I worked with called the store I was at (he was manager at a different store) and requested me directly to my manager to tell me the news.
I was floored, didn't quite believe it, and went on about my day, waiting for the PPV that night where my best friend was taking me to his friend's place for the first time.
While I gave the worst first impression ever, these two guys I met that night eventually have become my absolute best friends, and the big brothers I never had. I WORSHIP them.
In fact to this day, we always "joke", and talk about how the night we met was the night Benoit killed himself (Sunday, June 24, 2007).
Despite what happened, Benoit will always and forever be in my Top 10.
There was this kid I grew up with; he was younger than me. Sorta looked up to me, you know. We did our first work together, worked our way out of the street. During Prohibition, we ran molasses into Canada…made a fortune. Later on he had an idea to build a city out of a desert stop-over for GI’s on the way to the West Coast. That kid’s name was Moe Greene, and the city he invented was Las Vegas. This was a great man, a man of vision and guts. And there isn’t even a plaque, or a signpost or a statue of him in that town! Someone put a bullet through his eye. No one knows who gave the order. When I heard it, I wasn’t angry; I knew Moe, I knew he was head-strong, talking loud, saying stupid things. So when he turned up dead, I let it go. And I said to myself, this is the business we’ve chosen; I didn’t ask who gave the order, because it had nothing to do with business!
I love how they call him a monster. I think it was a good call having the raw show a tribute to chris. Yes it was a horrible thing he did. But he wouldn't have done this if he was in his right mind. I blame both chris and wwe. Chris didn't have to take the head shots or the steroids. But he did to better himself and his career. So i blame both chris and wwe for what happened. Erasing chris from history isn't right. Let people see what can happen to you if you go to the extreme in this business.
It was something he didn't do but we'll never know the truth
Agreed with the point that erasing him wasn't or isnt right by any means
@@ravenraines7840 Benoit did kill his family.
Benoit had history of spousal abuse. I don't think you can blame it all on CTE.
Wrestlers have said before Interviews Chris was a bully with a temper Steven regal said recently that he wouldn't have Chris in his home Chris had that said to him all along it took Eddie's death for it to completely come out
It's sad but I don't think the WWE was wrong for paying tribute, Chris did those things, but it's not like he didn't love his family, he was a really sick person, nobody knew how sick, he didn't do anything out of hate, in his mind it must have been a tornado in those final moments.
Yeah, the only way to find out how sick he was (CTE) can only be determined after death so it was impossible for anyone to know.
yeah no you don't hear american footballers leaving calm messages, lying to all friends and co workers berfore killing their wife, sedating and choking their aoms death. he knew exactly what he was doing.
It's easier to fool someone than to convince them they have been fooled.
True...so who is being fooled here?
It's easy, with hindsight, to say they should have waited for the police to investigate but you wouldn't have any suspicion of Chris having done anything wrong.
People still say it to this day, "I can't believe he could do this" ... or words to that effect, it would not have even been a consideration in their mind that Chris had anything to do with it ... and if they hadn't done a tribute show and he did have nothing to do with it you'd be making a video now moaning about them NOT doing a tribute show. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
I can understand why WWE did the tribute show even if they rushed it way too fast...Benoit was one of their biggest and most popular stars, and at the time the fact that he'd murdered the two of them and then killed himself was not YET in wide circulation. It was still being reported as a triple murder/home invasion. So it's only logical in WWE-land, if hair-trigger, that they'd throw together a tribute for him. But...when they did that tribute show and then the word came out about what really happened, WWE overreacted the other way and completely erased him from history to try and cover for the fact that they'd just done an emotional tribute to a murderer. If they'd waited, perhaps they would not have felt compelled to un-person Benoit from his history with WCW/WWE.
Watch Bradshaw and Regals "tribute" segments on that show. They knew what Chris had done. Cena, and Austin probably did too.
@@1roundleft821 Can’t find Bradshaw’s, what did he say in his?
@@1roundleft821how would have they knew what happened???
He knew what he was doing. He made up lies to his friends and coworkers to cover his actions. That proves he knew what he was doing was wrong. His brain damage was a happenstance.
It was a combination of Eddie’s death, steroids and more than likely, Nancy saying she was leaving with Daniel.
That’s something we’ll tactic abusers do btw
Watching ruthelsss aggression right now with Benoit and he’s on fire. He’s so freaking good. It’s such a shame he did this though. But I can separate the man from the wrestler. A lot of ppl can’t sadly.
Lol um you do realize fake pro rasslin isn't important right? Being a decent person is. He killed his own child. So no matter how good you thought he could fake pro rassle isn't going to override him killing his child.
People are dumb he died in the ring his brain failed him
I still don't want to believe that he did this. Such a horrible tragedy
WWE did what literally anyone would have done by having a tribute show. How were they supposed to have known Chris was the culprit? What were the odds of him murdering his own family!? But they also did the right thing by pulling the episode after learning the truth.
Benoit's death and his family stills hits me hard😔 even after all these years later it's beyond sad really as great of a career Chris had not just WWE but period 💢 he was definitely a machine in that ring . As a person who grew up watching Chris Benoit and being a fan of him, pains my heart he did what he did and afterwards taking his own life😒😑 but his wrestling career, what he was able to do in that ring can never be erased 💯💯 he was literally that good and tough as nails....I always said things would have been very different if Eddie Guerrero never pass away 😢
I don't condone what he did I honestly think it was very very horrible
???? Yea no shit dude
I remember that limo blowing up. That’s when I thought the WWE went too far. Pro Wrestling had always been self contained. Outsiders never gave their actions a second thought, but that Limo was the first time outsiders thought, wait is this real?
I just don't get why they go after WWE and Vince . These are grown men. If a man does this they don't blame the employer
This is a,different business.
It's 1,where performers are possibly encouraged to do steroids and other stuff to stay on top.,It's one where dangerous things happen. Weapons to hit causing brain injuries (potentially) or accidents like Owen Hart make the company and business highly suspect.
Its a shame we can't talk about him because he could wrestle his rumble win was from the ages and unexpected
Even though she never officially worked for WWF/WWE they still could and should have done a tribute show to Nancy, they own all the tapes.
Fair enough. But they would only show during her time with Kevin and that would look wrong paying tribute to Chris and his carrer and then tribute to his wife Nancy when she was with some other guy and that would be dissrespect to dead body & person imo. Imagine if your dad divorced your mom and then he passes and your step mom would only like to keep the memories and make some kinda of tribute with living with him but you'd like to remember also memories with him and your mom so. Imo atleast I think that would be dissrespect to your dad's dead body. Plus they would maybe show her private life which I dont think either Chris or her would like to be put out to public because we all know Chris didnt like to talk about his personal life to anyone apart from couple of ppl mainlly great late Eddie

After I heard the story of Chris Benoit killing he's Family and then his self. I wanted the WWE to end its not just Chris Benoit half of the WWE Superstars have already lost there life's. They can't do that because it's a money maker.
CTE, Steroids, and Depression all played a part in this tragedy.
Look anybody to look into the Chris Benoit there is a lot that doesn't make since
Cool video
I feel sorry for Nancy's surviving son David he's around 30, looks rough, like stressed tf out! Chris left a sour legacy to the Bendoit name😢.
David is not Nancy’s birth son. David is her stepson.
Chris has two surviving children from his first wife, before Nancy. He has a son and a daughter.
Not the least understandable thing considering she was going to take his family and half his wealth from him
R.i.p to the Benoit family. C.t.e is a fucked up condition.
That Raw tribute is surreal & nauseating to watch in the present day. One of the WWE's biggest gaffes ever. Ever.
He killed a child.... let that sink in
I read many Comments and please stop making excuses for Benoit. Even before Eddie's Death Nancy tryed to leave him. In 2003 she wanted a divorce from Chris because of violence. Seems like they had a really toxic relationship for Year's and in 2007 it escalated.
And for Peoble that say: But all the Wrestlers called him a great Guy. How many Times i read or heard that about some other murderer from Friends and Family in News or Crime Documentations?
And of course after Benoits death the WWE finally cracked down on the use of steroids.
Rip nacey and her son
McMahon is such a narcissist. I truly believe he had WWE hold a McMahon tribute just so he could see what his memorial would be like. Can't do that if you are really deceased.
The official investigation has more holes than Swiss cheese
Chris was so crispy in the ring
Bad move by the WWE to do the tribute to early but who really cares. The real tragedy is what Chris did to his family.
To blame the WWE for one man actions is wrong. The tribute was a misstep, but not a mistake. I doubt anyone would've expected the actual results of what truly happened. The only when I blame is Benoit. Not the company that supported him. So fuçk all the pointing the finger at the company excuses, because that's all bullshït.

Cte drug use Eddie passing Benoit wasn't an evil but he lifestyle hea trademarks fucked n Scrabbled his brain but his family n close friends knew his heart
WWE has 0 fault in this. Benoit was an incredible performer that does not change because he did this. He was obviously not in his right mind. Calling him a monster is like calling an old man with dementia a monster if he wrecks his car into someone and kills them. A tragedy for sure but let's call it what it is rather than pandering to the narrative.
WWE and Vince McMahon in particular, deserved to receive the criticism and backlash they originally got as a result of this horrific incident. Vince KNEW damn well that most of, if not all, of his wrestlers were most likely taking/abusing steroids and other PED's in his company, and that WWE's Wellness Policy was a complete joke.

I don't believe any of this crap God is the only one who knows the truth so don't judge only God can do that
Hindsight helps a lot, but the police telling WWE the home is a crime scene and WWE proceeding to a tribute show is baffling in hindsight, especially in light of those texts.
I was at the cricket when this happened totally shocked but I'm not sticking up for him he killed his family
I don’t understand how they ruled out anyone else immediately, for those of you who don’t know he supposedly didn’t even kill his whole family he still had a son , that’s why the motive they labeled him never made sense
He could of just divorced Nancy and walked away, he could of just killed himself and left his wife and kid alone but noooooo. He told people on the phone that Nancy and Danile had food poisoning so not to raise any alarm, he knew what he was doing.

Well, many people who knew Chris Benoit on a personal level all say, "the guy I knew would never have done that." Chris Benoit was a devoted husband and father that no one would even consider Chris Benoit as the murderer of his wife and son.
Regardless, WWE was not responsible for what happened. Chris Benoit made his own choice. CTE is irrelevant. Steroids are irrelevant. Chris Benoit made his own choice on his own will.

It wasn’t a botch ! Chris got his heart felt goodbye because Chris was a good man to many. Yes he went ballistic and became a mass murder but spirit knew he was overtook by outside demon forces. I’m glad wwe has changed even tho it mostly sucks now lol.
Thank you for everything, Rabid Wolverine
The Chris Benoit tribute show on RAW made sense. The company and its performers were unaware of the facts and could not conceive of the idea that Benoit committed a murder suicide. By going ahead with it early in the investigation, it gave them the opportunity to pay final tribute to Chris who was well respected and so important to the success of the WWE.
Also, the WWE responses to alleged steroid rage or CTE as the explanation behind the tragedy are reasonable to me. It does seem all very speculative, especially the roid rage sensationalization. Did CTE have a role - maybe? It's likely a complex combination of factors we will never understand, and as you say, Chris is solely to blame at the end of the day. I think if Chris was here today, he would agree that he is solely to blame. If someone tried to provide explanations to him, he would probably argue that every drug and head shot he took was a result of his own free will.
The CTE lawsuit against the WWE from former talent is pathetic in my eyes. They decided to do it did for a living. Are former NHL or NFL players going to launch a lawsuit against those organizations as well? Bullshit litigation from sue happy lawyers.
The truth will come out one day. I still believe he didn't do it. R.I.P. to the family.
You're wrong. Simple as that. Grow up.
