Not sure if this is an odd choice but I really like fried okra. Come to think of it, I could probably do a video one day about how okra came from Africa to America during the Diaspora.
Sorry I thought I commented before. Firstly thank you so much for taking part in this collab! Secondly I love these kinds of things. Common every day things like clothing, tools, utensil are so often overlooked but it's very interesting to see the commoner lived! When I wrote comics when I was younger I found it particularly challenging to depict common day to day scenes so I found myself inserting European items. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to seeing more of this series!

Nice. Yeah East Africa was likely the most heavily featured in this video but hopefully I did alright in trying to represent other regions of the continent as well.
Well basically, I came up with the idea because I thought to myself that I still have so much art I want to show viewers that I haven't yet. So I should make a list of every type of thing I've seen in my study of Africa. I choose to start with food related items because it just sorta make sense as a starting point. That and I want people to have a wider understanding of what art is.
@@redspiritmask they definitely make me feel like I'm making art when I pour my soul to feed and cheer up my loved ones. When they say "thanks" after eating it probably fills my heart enough to go on just on that alone.
What is your favorite African food or drink?

You know, I would have never thought to make a video about this. Very interesting!

It is interesting learning about other foods! Also, that was nice of you to shout out the individual channels in the description as well.
No problem, I will also post links in a pinned comment once the playlist goes live.
Truly the humans are a species that loves to make stuff and to eat the food cooked by that stuff they made
Indeed, and I hope more people are able to see that both the food and the stuff we use to make the food are all works of art to be appreciated.
