In this video, Jan Harrell demonstrates enameling with stencils on a variety of metal pieces to really make these pieces pop. She introduces Enameling Squares, which are cost effective 28 gauge steel squares with a porcelain enamel coat. These require no counter enamel on the back, saving you time in creating your projects. Each square is 3" x 3" and can be cut down to your desired shape. - Навчання та стиль
That is so fun. I can’t wait to do this ❤
Always very classy. Clean unique designs
I love your works
Excellent. Thank you so much
Was the glycerin used instead of an adhesive because (1) inability to repeat Ms Harrell's usual 3-time spray and sift of enamel, and (2) to keep the stencil from sticking?
I live in Australia I want to recite enamelling classes with you, did you have a channel to following you or a book? I love your classes. I am a beginner student in silversmith. You are amazing and experienced artist. ❤😊

Thanks
Hi John, you'll want to use scalex. This prevents fire scale. You can find it here: www.cooltools.us/Scalex-1-oz-p/enl-015.htm
Can you torch fire the enamels when you use glycerine?
kitschnsink yeah, can you?
@@joycegonzales4994 that's what I'm asking.
Hello, yes, you can torch fire the enamels when using glycerine. Thanks for watching!
@@joycegonzales4994 Hello, yes, you can torch fire the enamels when using glycerine. Have a good day!
Can these pieces be torch fired?
Hi Suzanne, yes, these pieces can be torch fired. The Enameling Squares do not distribute heat as readily as copper; you will need to make sure to heat the piece evenly and come out to the corners to get them to fuse. If you are applying enamel to the black side of these squares (back) and using a torch to heat the white side, you can expect some slight graying of the white coating. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!
