    I was halfway through the advertisement before I realized it wasn't satire about bigger, but lazier, booktubers coasting on their channel's success to sell merch. Thankfully the legend never misses deadlines. The absolute merchant.

      It can be hard to judge.
      Sometimes the struggle is absolutely worth it. Nothing of real value comes easy.
      Sometimes it's actually too confusing, too difficult or you're not ready for the book yet.
      This can be the real struggle of an ambitious reader.

      @@valhatan3907 I feel like, if suicidal depression is a real threat from certain books, you should stop reading for health reasons. I would rather read studies and articles on terrible things than immerse myself for days in some godawful story I don't care about just because its a classic and says something important that could have been easily summarized.

      That's what novels (and real life experiences, while we're at it) are all about.

    I really felt the second one. I've been reading the Dark Tower series since 2009 and I'm still only a quarter of the way through the fifth book. It's rare that I find the time or motivation to sit down and properly read a book. At this rate, I might be lucky enough to finish the series by 2029 if my math is correct.

    I can relate so much to this, last year, I've finished like 4 books, and 3 of them were Mistborn..... and the other one was Warbreaker...... and I only finished half of TWoK...... And I don't know if I'll ever be able to finish book one, let alone ALL of Stormlight....
    Reading books is hard as fuck...

    "I finished them... Twice!" while holding up a copy of god damn OATHBRINGER?! Fantastic addition to that bit.
    For those wondering, Oathbringer is the third book in a series of books that makes all of LotR look like a novella. Oathbringer alone has about 1250 pages. Its audiobook is FIFTY FIVE hours long. The LotR trilogy is barely over 60 hours IN TOTAL.
    Great books though, highly recommend.

    I feel the "struggling to finish Wheel of Time". I love the series, and it'll definitely be in my top 3 once I'm finished, but wow. I'm normally a fast reader, but I've been on this series for about a year and a half now, and I still have 2 and a half books to go

    I just finished reading Oathbringer a few weeks ago! Such an insanely good series. Oathbringer is literally an inspiration (more specifically Dalinar) and I hope the Stormlight Archive fanbase becomes as big as Lord of the Rings' fanbase. Life Before Death!

    Feel like jake should make a video about all those half finished books we all rack up over time and how annoying it is when they are brought into a conversation and you either choose to stay out of the discussion or end fumbling through, only half remembering the book.
