    I would think that the wear on that harvester would be high with all the dirt going through it.

    Welcome to GA. A lot of the farmers bale the vines for hay, but you also loose a lot of good residue by doing that. That is rough on a baler, just look at the dirt, bad on chains and bearings.

    one of the biggest difference between peanuts and corn or soybeans is no augers are used with peanuts
