Short trailer for a big mapping project I've been constructing for the last few years. Dr_Playstation is my second deathrun map featuring level design inspired by my favourite games of the PS1 era. In this map I've managed to create functional NPC enemies, bosses and fully re-created levels taken right from the Playstation.
The main part of the map is based on the Toy Story 2 PS1 game, whilst the endings are direct re-creations of Wipeout 2097, Spyro the Dragon and Crash Bandicoot. The project still has two more PS1 endings to go before it is ready for release. Keep and eye on my steam profile and screenshots for more progress!

Little trivia; I actually began this project before Slender Arctic way back in January 2015 under the title "dr_teamstory". It was originally going to be just based off the Toy Story 2 PS1 game with some neat traps. But due to other projects and University conflicting, the project was put on hold for nearly a whole year. After my Spyro the Dragon video project failed to get off the ground, I came back to teamstory with a new mindset of making it branch out into multiple games eventually settling on the new name of dr_playstation.

As of now the map is very much finished, but we are working hard to completely fix up bugs and issues before release. Bare in mind these projects still come second to my studies and etc so, I ain't working on them 24/7. Jay. I wouldn't say he's the hardest in my opinion, but he was pretty hard. Mainly because 8 year old me didn't know how to time the spin attack right.

Thank you so much for dr_playstation; this is the most effort I've ever seen put into map and now it is my absolute favorite. Our Skial server kept re-extending map time to 100% it. Also great job making Burg simultaneously hilarious and impossible.

Why does this feel like it should be an entirely separate platform game. But holy crap, so much custom content. Map's BSP will be massively big, even after repacking.

It's around 70 MB repacked.
Izotope Huh, that's like, normal sized. What is it before repacking?
Earlier versions were around 110 MB, this probably changed to a slightly higher number though.

I'm currently working on the 4th PS1 game ending with will be themed after Gex 3D: Enter the Gecko. I wish to do one more PS1 ending but I am unsure now what to base it on, any suggestions :)?

Meanwhile on the far inferior XBone you're getting sixt- I mean thirteen FPS, yeah, definitely. (Note - I am a mainly PC player and am not biased towards any consoles, consoles can provide legitimately fun experiences but I prefer PC any day of the week)

The Gex map was scrapped actually. but I learned ALOT about making this sorta stuff from it, and right now I am making a new section of the map based on Gex anyway.
