I have the same amplifier and I've replaced speaker relay and the super/memory cap. I did not tear whole thing apart when replacing the cap. Those grey cables very easily give you a lot of trouble as they does not make a connect and then does. After your fix I've noticed that when you turn main power switch on it instantly turn the amplifier on. That is not what it should work.

You missed one maybe lol :)
Bad joint city " Badus jointicus " , i would often bounce something plastic around the pcb just to see if one is playing hide and seek.
Smashing repair, a no parts fix :-D.

I guess if I was in business it might be $80 worth of time but I really don't know what a fair or comparable rate is. Might even be double.

I work fixing Onkyo receivers here in my country, in this days I receive many units with resistive PCB's, receivers turn off after press On or show "Check Speaker wire"
My solution was cut the traces and and lift some components soldering to each other.
Driver board generates a lot of heat, especially in the SMD SOT23 transistors.
I have many tricks, like cable extensions for the boards.
      Best Regards.
