a black cat showed up in my garden and i befriended her over the months (while i took a photo of her and put up ads to see if she was lost, but no one has claimed to be her owner), eventually i had her coming over to sit on my lap when i sat in the garden, one day i left the door open and she came into the living room, she found my floors slippery and walked funny at first, and then after some exploring she went back outside. that happened a few more times until she just stayed in and slept overnight. now she's been living in my house for nearly three years and knows the name i gave her and she doesn't even like going outside now, haha. befriending cats feels magical, because you really have to earn their trust and it feels like a really cool friendship ps. yesss more cooking would be nice, maybe cooking and chatting and stuff? i hope you had a super great time at the party!
This was so cozy. And my love language is also gifts (and acts of service kind of) and sometimes it's hard for people to get that it's really not about material things. You said exactly what I always say, that it's about thinking about the person when they're not around. It's nice to hear someone say it too!

One of my friends takes care of feral cats in his neighborhood. He even put little makeshift houses outside for them to use in winter or when it's raining, he feeds them regularly. They are very skittish and he doesn't force the relationship. UNTIL! One of them, a big orange tabby, waited for him on the porch. She was ill and wanted help. He wrangled her into a pet carrier, took her the vet, she was having a severe asthma attack. He got her treated and let her back out again to live her wild life. She visits daily and lives in his backyard now. The little makeshift house is her house now. So Lulu is your outdoor cat, she choose you. ❤
Heres some important info from a cat rescuer! Id very much suggest getting in contact with a local rescue to trap her, so that she can be fixed and vaccinated, as well as dewormed. Theyll do this typically free of charge and will return her no problem ^^ in general, make sure you dont leave food out unattended (that way you dont attract any non cat animals, which could cause problems) and try to provide water with every feeding. Cats have a harder time retaining water than you might think! With her hanging around, make sure to tap your cars hood before driving anywhere. She may seek shelter in the engine, especially as the weather gets colder. If you want, you can leave a box or crate out with a towel or blanket to provide shelter and dissuade her from crawling into someones car. Good luck with your kitty friend ^^ 👍

My mom once said red eye shadow makes people look sick, and I was such an obedient kid I instantly stopped using it. The day he finally crawled on my lap, I cried. He ended up spending as much time as he could parked on my chest. Sadly, he turned out to have kidney issues and so I only got to spoil him for like 8 months. But at least he died knowing hooman butler love.

You should look into TNR- Trap, Neuter (/spay), Release for little Lulu! If she doesn’t have an ear tip, she might not be spayed and will keep having feral kittens. There are vet programs that will spay/neuter feral cats for free!
I have a close friend who does TNR so they are helping me try to figure out if Lulu may be chipped or not! Trying to ask around to locals to see if anyone knows about her before I go that route myself.
