I like to think this happened after she and Gerald came back from the hub world of sonic x shadow generations. Like she wakes up knowing that something bad obviously happens to her because of how shadow was acting in the hub world, but tries to keep shadow happy and from suspecting anything that she is keeping. Even when she has her bad days, she's trying to keep things positive for as long as she can before it's too late. Nice job person!
I love this song, the friendship between Shadow and Maria, It's just so beautiful, heartwarming, and kinda sad. Honestly this song talks about Spinel from "Steven Universe" it's just that this song fits into the character Spinel mostly about her past, you know when she was left in the garden by Pink Diamond all alone. I can't imagine what it's like to live alone for thousands of years. I feel sorry for spinel she didn't deserve to be alone. She deserve new friends. And I know this song is from "Adventure Time" By Marceline and her mom Elise. I just wanted to say thank you Hex and Kisses for making the video it fits great. 😄👍👏💐🌻
This is so cool! Some suggestions i have to make this more heartfelt that can help you through ur futher steps of animation study!! Through forshadowing 0:43 "right where u left it" turns to shadow clearly in distesress and all the happyness is sucked out of him while maria is no where and time has clearly seemed to pass (maria is sick), as if he left the board the way it was. The scene is messsier, the board isnt straight but curved and some of the peices are missing or dumpled down. AND it is seemingly as if he is waiting to finish the game because it was paused in the middle. Shadow stands over this and we see a bit of his back like we are both looking at the same thing. (if this wa after marias death, we would need to change the scene up like the glass being broken and the area would be alot messier as if he was revisting the site) 0:47 "but it still changes" turns to just shadow holding the book and maria just vanishs as "changes" is said. Shadow looks like the joy and life of him is sucked out of him, giving us a representation of why he is the person he became later on, being plaugueg of loosing maria or her sickness you can choose that narritive. 0:58 "everything stays" Marias image flickers like a hollagram, showing that the ghost of her still lingers (like we are in shadows mind remebring where maria was) and that it wasnn't ment to last dispite it "staying the same" in fate. Its like an OXYMORON. Flickering stops a little before her eys close to give of a wholesome feeling that dipite the events, she still was a joyful kid and that shadow had fondful memoories cuz its like when we see maria we r seeing it from shadows eyes. 1:17 Personally id give shadow more emotion like hes trying to hold back his emotions but he cant and their spilling out. Streakes of tears and stuff and his face showcases anger sadness griefing and denyal that shes sick. I like what you did with maria it fels in her character to be tyring to confort shadow and not willing to let her illness upset her, like she has already accepted shes in that contition but shadow isnt. 1:22 you NAILED this! 1:28 LITTERAL PERFECTIONNNN!!
