Agreed. It's one of the many reasons I love his character - He's a very brooding and rough around the edges character, but he subverts expectations in both his actions as a hero, and in his voice. His voice IS brooding, but it's also quite soft, and not dominating as you might expect from a character with his level of coldness and/or hostility. In most VAs chosen for him, anyway. That's precisely why I'm not a big fan of Kirk Thornton's rendition of Shadow. Especially with his earlier attempts. While he's improved and currently is a bit closer to old VAs of Shadow, he's still quite far off. His voice has a rough and dominating quality to it that just doesn't match the gentle tone that Shadow is SUPPOSED to have.

Maria Robotnik (in hedgehog) made by LiyuConberma herself. She made a wonderful story and her version of Maria the Hedgehog is wonderful. Those comics have been discontinued at the moment. There’s not much else of them aside from what’s already been dubbed. Finishing this comic was one of the last things the artist, Liyuconberma, did before taking a hiatus if I remember correctly

It’s the same Maria Robotnik! The whole “sibling headcanon” it’s invented by fans who see them that way. But half of the Sonic fandom ships them! Specially in Japan! In the canon we don’t know the true nature of their relationship except the close friends they were. But she was “the closest thing Shadow ever came to love”. And there’s also huge romantic implications around them since their concept. Shiro Maekawa (their creator) wrote their relationship that way on purpose. He really supports fans shipping them, too! :)
The fact that shadow has many clones and each time one dies another activates and has the memories of the previous clone but can't remember properly makes me so angry😡😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬

Most of the time I don't like the Shadow and Maria ship because I think of them as siblings, but this comic does it so well that I absolutely love it
