- All my links in one place linktr.ee/cameliacraftsdesigns Hello, I'm Julie from Camelia Crafts Designs, welcome to my channel.
Today i'm making some little vellum/parchment type pockets.
I'll be using my iron and some beeswax to make regular copy paper look like vellum/parchment type stuff.

That turned out nice despite the barking paper. LOL 😆
Wooof 😅😊🤗💜
This looks so much easier than printing on vellum, thanks 😊
I always end up with curly vellum when i print on it, or wet inky vellum😅 🤗💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns I smudge the ink, such a mess. 🤣
Clever way to use up your wax beads. Love the results.
Thanks love☺️🤗💜
Your voice is so soothing. 🥰
Thank you
Thank you for this amazing tut. Definitely will try it. I have some barking paper too 😁❤️
You're welcome Gones. Have fun trying it out and thank you, I'd forgotten about this technique. I need to do it again, it actually looks much nicer than store bought vellum😊🤗💜
This was so interesting! Thank you for showing us this technique.
Ooooooh a fantastic new technique to try. These look great Julie, I got the small iron and the barking paper, just need some wax. Thanks a lot looney bird 💕
Glad you liked it Lisa😁 woof🐶💜
Thanks for sharing - new technique for me!
I guess I best look for a craft iron and wax now 🙄
I get it now normally people show you when it's all open I like how you put it together so I could see that the long part is the front the penny dropped. Again you made the waxing look so simple. Super thanks.
I loved this video so funny. The barking paper is now in a different box I was one of those people that couldn't find any brown I've been opening boxes everywhere for the last 2 years but I found some at tescos the other week
I do much more stuff I need an iron for since buying the tiny one.
Glad the way I did it hrlled😁💜
What do I need to to next🤔😅
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns hmm I'll think about it but I've learnt enough for now lol
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns so once I have my ranger heater what embossing ink and powder do you suggest
I've bought lots of different brand embossing powders and they all seem to work well. I'd definitely get a versa fine pad though🥰💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns super thank you
Oh Wow these are fantastic. I haves some left over soy wax from the same food wrap project...I wonder if I could do this with them? You've inspired me to have a play, thanks Julie, am really loving your channel XXX
Thanks Jen☺️💜 I'd love to know how the soy wax works out👍
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns I'll keep you posted 😊
That is brilliant!! Thank you! 💕🌸💕
I see you're still binging Sylvia, thank you so much☺️🤗💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns yes indeed! I love your videos. 👍🏼
Julie! I'm off to buy wax beads now 😣😣🤣🤣
Oops I'm enabling again😘🥰
Love love love this. Thanks for sharing. Also love your accent.
Thank you so much Deborah ☺️🤗💜
Yippee! More things I need to buy myself for Christmas!😂
You're worth it😁😊💜😘
🤣🤣🤣😂🤣😂😂
That heatproof sheet does not act as an insulator it is just not damaged by heat. Your green mat will get damaged, the sheet won’t protect it. Wax is very similar to grease when melted it does penetrate the paper
Thanks Lucy. I should have made that more clear to those who have more respect for their mats than I do 🙏🙃💜
Having watched this today, I went to Tesco for baking paper and yes - it' s still brown! £1.70 for 15Metres
Oh brilliant😁 I'm still on the same roll, it lasts forever🤗💜
We have parchment paper which is a baking paper.
So many different names for the same sort of thing. 😊😁🤗💜
Oooooooo how fabulous. I will begin this. So we have to use plain old ordinary copy paper eh?....edit...I didn't but I did it withhe
The wax does a beautiful job, but I also use Daddy VAn's Beeswax Furniture Polish and then I don't have to use the iron. Great results! TFS the inspiration!
Gail that's genius. Thank you for the info. I'm definitely getting some of that 👍🥰😁💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns Here's a link to a video I did about it on my channel: ua-cam.com/video/FARFLZsUotg/v-deo.html
When you’ve waxed the paper and then put it in a journal, do you need to seal it? Does it ever melt onto or stick to the pages around it?
This looks great! Do you think sealing wax would work?
Hi Gloria, I can't say for sure, but it might🤔. When it cools down here I may give it a whirl😊🤗💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns you’ll never guess what I used Julie! Scented wax melts! Air freshener! And now my tags and doilies smell so good!👍🏼🤩
This is great hun where can you get small bags of beeswax from I have tried Amazon but couldn't find any for a reasonable price xx
Oh my giddy aunt, this is the one i bought amzn.to/3KemRSD
just checked my order and the price has gone up so much. Mine was £6 and it's now almost £10
I'm now wondering if the bees are on strike😘🤗💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns rofl oh my you do make me laugh I haven't heard oh my giddy aunt for a long time, love it lol xx
Can we use candle wax? Or does it have to be beeswax?
Hi Brooke, I haven't honestly tried, but I have seen others use candle wax on smaller areas. They just rubbed it on and melted with a heat gun. I really need to try it😊🤗💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns ok thank you. Sounds like a experiment in the near future
