I agree with you, HOWEVER. You gave an incorrect translation. It actually means:
"Oh Allah, send peace/blessings upon Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and the family of Muhammad (PBUH), just as you sent blessings upon Ibrahim (May peace be upon him) and the family of Ibrahim (May peace be upon him), verily, you are the most praiseworthy, the most glorious."
