Yeah when I started praying 5 times a day I used to skip nafal or sunna or used to pray while sitting sometimes but as slowly slowly I got hidayat I started praying full namaz while standing but I saw my mamo discussing very confidently that I pray only fard rakat not sunna or nafal then I said very politely if there is no emergency and you are medically fine then you should pray full but I noticed our elders have some ego problem they started arguing ( my khala and mamo) then I stopped talking I feel so bad why we are like this even though we are Muslims we have believe in these fard namaz no one asked you to pray extra other than fard namaz then why are you doing this so my question is that Is this the right thing to do for elders which is very common to skip sunnah or nawafal without any reason or if not then why they are justifying it ?

Unity of the ummat(sunnies),at this time and age,we needed the most

I want to say honestly to my "salafies" Muslim brothers, please stop divide the ummat(ahle Sunnah)of Muhammad rasullullah khatam nabeyeen s.a.w further and weakend it more,,look at the state of the ummat today, and what is happening to it, the kuffars are attaking us from every direction physically and psychologically, when will we be united ..

Unfortunately, since we are threatened by eternal hellfire, it is the truth that one prays to avoid it. If there wasn’t such a consequence 99% of people won’t pray as much as they do. As much as you want to lie to convince urself that you are praying to thank the creator, that is simply not the case, not in salat al fardh at least.

Im glad you are having these convos. The aqeedah debates are so misplaced as there are so many bigger issues in the ummah.

Amazing discussion, I think Ustadh Ashraf should be invited back and there should a focused discussion on strategies to tackling the issues raised, but one by one, every community is different but this will be useful for many imams, duat and those who have concern for their local community.
