My Life in Pelling, Sikkim after moving here - these are all the places that you should definitely not miss!
Lockdown at the time of making the final cut was very strict. Finding ration was extremely difficult and now I feel finding an exit route is the only viable option :)
Some important notes -
1. WiFi is extremely good in the place where I am staying.
2. Vodafone and Airtel work the best.
3. There are tons of restaurants and cafes to eat out from, however, currently most of them are shut
4. Pelling is a tourist town. All you will find over here are hotels and cafes with 0 to no local life.
5. Car/bike rentals options are extremely difficult and scarce.

Wonderful video Radhika as usual. The skywalk and the tall Chenrezig Statue however was recently built. The oldest monastery that you talked about in the video is called Sangacholing which is just adjacent to the entry point of the complex.

Hi Radhika, During 1st wave you were in Manali and now in 2nd wave in Sikkim. Best use of lockdown time. At pelling, how is the internet connection? Can I do office work with that internet speed.

Mam is there any shared taxi available for traveling from Gangtok to Pelling and yuksom. And as a solo traveler how we visit tourist places in pelling. What is mode of transport for budget travelers? I badly want to visit Pelling and yuksom as a budget traveler? So please give some suggestions mam.
Right now because of lockdown you can’t really travel in Sikkim. The only safe way to travel is via a private taxi. But yes there are shared taxis to Pelling, Gangtok and Yuksom

Hey, I have visited pelling for two times. I want to mention two places which I love the most. 1. Helipad at starry night. Lay down on helipad and its feel like all the stars came to you to start 'adda'... and number 2 is rabdanse fort... Oh, the feeling .. it was just unexplainable...
As you are thinking of moving from pelling, I would suggest try for old silk route ... Another less crowded place with ultimate beauty of nature... Don't forget to try out 'tongba', an local alcoholic beverage... You will love it...

While I was in Pelling, there's a waterfall whose waterfall on a road and our driver washed his car under that waterfall ...

I did sandakphu trek and a solo trip to pelling, yuksom and ravangla in Dec 2019, basically a pre cursour to goechala. Amazing place. The water falls are more voluminous with water as compared to that in May. Though the goechala did not happen due to lockdown, but the trip was absolutely worthy as west sikkim is very pretty.
Radhika, if time and situation permits, do visit ravangla
Really wanted to go to Ravangla and Goechala around this time but lockdown :/

Bummer that you couldn't go to Yuksom. You could have visited Dubdi Monastery. It is the oldest Monastery of Sikkim and it could have been an interesting trek too.
