My first Tesla was a 2017 Model X. I only kept it for 18 months and traded it for a Model 3. I had the 3 for four years and traded it for a Y. I’ve had it for two years. I want a Cybertruck, but will wait for a while. Love Tesla.
@@msbgoneeven though Chris touts the doors as a benefit, I never got used to them. If the X had conventional doors, I would probably still be driving it.
It’s just too small. I have a Model Y and can’t justify getting the X. I’m more tempted to get the Cybertruck just due to the bed. It sucks because we really would love to have an X but going from a Y is weird.
I think you did the best video hightlighting each vehicle's niche. Not only that, but the b-roll videos as you described each some of the feature really showcase the feature well. I have both vehicles as well. (Neither as cool looking as yours.) I like how you wrapped your CT. I personally think the X is the better family vehicle. However, my family likes to ride in the CT more... If you have a young family, especially if you have carseats and young kids. The Model X is much easier to open doors and climb into without help. I especially love being able to open doors for my family. They usually never have to think about opening and closing doors. Such an underrated feature that you interface with everytime. Also, the X is much easier to park imho. The CT on the other hand, has a cushy, comfy ride up high. Also, my family are more comfortable with 3 ppl sitting side by side. And is just the coolest thing out at the moment. Even in areas where I live where I see at least one CT each time I go out. Still the most unique thing on the road at the moment.
At first glance, the Cyber Truck looks ginormous, but isn’t much taller than a model Y & is wide like a model x. Works well as a family car. After seeing some nicely wrapped Cyber Trucks, it can also look very nice with T Sportline wheels 😀
I just got my CT 4 days ago I am still in shock, buyers remorse and just overwhelmed. I am not saying it’s bad or anything I am probably just a baby about it, the attention is unreal still which is a bit much for me and my family. I kind of wish I could return it lol, I love it don’t get me wrong just overwhelmed 😂
I have both of them and love driving both where there's a time and place for each. Heading down to Boca Chic, TX for the 5th launch and most likely will use my MX since Kingsville, TX V3 chargers aren't opened and also no FSD yet to help out. For me and for my porky Yorkie it's a 2,900 miles round trip, CyberTruck will be far more comfortable to drive and safer for that trip.
Nice video Chris. Ahhh I see you went 2 tone on the cyber truck. Good taste man 👍🏼 definitely what I would have done too. Looking forward to more videos.
Tesla cheaping out on camera based rear view mirror is not good. Considering the shapes of the vehicle tesla should provide Camera based rear view mirror
Your videos are fun, well done and enjoyable to watch. I love the toss of self deprecation you do throughout your videos, sarcasm, etc. Keep up the great work, 81k subscribed and more to come I am confident.
Hi Chris and great video! I was just going to ask you if you have had any issues with your X falcon wing doors but you said at the end of your video that you did. How about now? Totally resolved or?...
100% correct and fair analysis .......The model X IS better and more practical ......... however, the Cybertruck is THE coolest thing on the street, so is very difficult not to buy.
Funny, you said delivery for CyberTruck would be 2025. I live up here in NorCal by Sacramento and I see over stock of CT at their offsite Tesla lot. I asked the Rep time of delivery if I order one and he said it is available as now..😂
Yeah for the Foundation Edition which is a $20k premium over the standard CT so of course it’s available now that everyone willing to pay the price already has theirs!😂
I love how everyone is OK with the "push the button" to open the CT door, but everyone has a fit with the "push the button" to open the door on a Mach-E LMAO
Cybertrucks are going to end up losing a ton of value and get dumped on the market. BUT: I do believe that over a long period of time, they may end up being desirable again - unfortunately by then they'll be extremely obsolete and their major components will require replacement.
A Ford Bronco door WILL NOT chop anyone's fingers off --- They're paper thin and really lightweight, so much safer. Of course in a crash they'll offer no protection...... and it'll roll over...
There absolutely are indeed crumple zones! And as far as pedestrian safety…how many people do you know that have been hit by a vehicle of any kind that are safe? All Tesla’s are pedestrian safe due to their safety systems to avoid collisions with pedestrians in the first place!
X has a center instrument cluster. CT has a Model Y/3 interface Why make a $100K vehicle and skip the center instrument cluster? Makes the CT seem cheap IMHO
I just purchased a model X by accident for the wife as we were not planning on buying any Tesla vehicles. This is our first electric vehicle so we bought a used 2016 model X with 90,000 Mi on it. Yes it has Reigns lost but we're not concerned about it as this will be a local Runabout car. If it treats us well and we liked it we will buy a new model X in 2 years. Hopefully they will still be around.
I took my Aunt to look at a Model X. She's RICH. Retired Gen X'er who still works post-retirement and makes over $250,000 a year. Love the look of lowered Xs. They look so good 😊
The model x desperately need a refresh.
I think they’ll probably sunset it. It doesn’t have a good fit in any segment anymore.

I wish my X had all wheel steering. Nice comparison
It would be expensive and decrease range

Of course they thought of most everything. Thus comparison is exactly what I sought. Thanks chris
Can you put a roof rack on the x plaid? Does the spoiler hide or always visible?
CT is surprisingly much better ride😊
The turning of the cybertruck is not because the steer by wire is because of the rear steering :)
I have both as well. And the Cybertruck is the easy winner.
Do you park it in your garage? Would never fit in mine...
@@msbgone Yes I do! Surprisingly it did fit in my garage.
The model X automatic doors need to come to the cyber truck and the modelS
They all need soft close first.

Ironically the the cybertruck looks more like a DeLorean but the X has the falcon doors. The Cybertruck wins though for the back to the future vibe.
LOL, those two vehicles combined cost more than my house.
In additon to my MYLR, I would own one more Tesla if The Elon spent time and money designing a minivan instead of a cybertruck.
A Tesla minivan would absolutely cannibalize the rest of the Tesla lineup. Nobody would buy the 3 or y anymore 😂
