Some of the best chemistry between guests. I would love to see this same crew back playing another game, maybe a Zombie game where Grace will have a backstory every turn, and Hannah will pun-off. Consider making an annual Formula D episode with a ever changing hands trophy. Can easily see myself buying this one now.
+jayson olson I would have to disagree; I feel everyone's just trying to out-internet each other. I know that part of the draw for Tabletop is putting well-known personalities on display, but to me, the guests seemed more annoyed with each other and referenced the game less in their banter than than in most episodes.
Super fun episode that acually prompted to buy this game for my group's game nights. Some people here have commented that this game looks boring but let me tell you: Most games, very much including this one, are a hell of a lot more fun to play than to watch being played. Which, I guess, is why so much of this episode was focused on the comedy. Also, a lot of games can potentially have their fun factor increased if the rules are not too closely observed. I feel I should point out, though, that had they observed the rules, Hannah might not have won. She exited the last corner on the inside most track, just like Greg ahead of her. The rules clearly state that a car leaving a corner may not change lanes but must stay in the same lane for that turn's duration. And if that rule had been observed, Hannah's best hope was to have her turn end on the spot directly behind Greg so that she could slipstream 3 spaces past him. It wouldn't have won her the game outright but she would've given herself the advantage for the next (and final) turn. Instead, her final roll overshot that last possible space right behind Greg with so many spaces that her final placing of her car in the harbor was ironically appropriate - because that's exactly where the flaming remains of her car would've ended up. But again, board games are often more fun without the rules and I'm pretty sure this episode created more than one new Formula D player! Can't wait for Season 3!
how Frogger ACTUALLY got his nickname is.. when he was a little boy, he was playing football with his friends (soccer). But then, he accidentally kicked the ball out in the street. He masterfully dodged ALL the cars (that's how he got the nickname), BUT a driver who was driving a RACE CAR got mad at him, took him into his car to bring the boy back to his parents. The car was going really fast and Frogger absolutely LOVED IT (that's how he got the idea to become a racer). 15 years later, he finally became a racer and made his dreams come true. The end.
but their playing a game where there is a road and there are lines going across it and there is a guy named frogger the joke is already there it didn't need to be said
I wasn't particularly looking forward to this episode, but for me Greg Benson was hilarious and Grace Helbig just brilliant - a flawless synergy of unexpectedness and wit. This is the first I'd heard of either of them, but they were seriously impressive.
Especially considering that he said earlier that spaceships are cooler than spaceship pilots. So, by extension, racecar drivers are cooler than spaceship pilots? I most /certainly/ beg to differ.
My brother and boyfriend thought this game would be boring, but now it's the game of choice for both of them. I want us to learn Pandemic, dangit, and have - so far - been overruled. Next time, I'm going to make sure we do! >:O In short, this is a fun game that you can adjust in complexity depending on your interest and time.
This was among the best episodes so far. I'm looking forward to the extended cut to see all of Forgger's stories and every pun! TableTop is one of the best shows on Geek and Sundry and UA-cam in general!
I've only watched a few of these so far, but damn, this was HILARIOUS. And the Sweetie Bot shirt? I have no words for my adoration of this episode. Well, I guess that was one.
On what planet is being a race car driver more awesome than being a spaceship? I've no idea, but I know which one of those two could help us find out, AND IT'S NOT THE RACE CAR DRIVER.
Except no because you've completely misunderstood. That would have meant they found the opposite of what they're looking for. If they're looking for a planet where race car drivers are cooler than spaceships, there would have to be race car drivers there in the first place for that to be the case. It also wasn't an experiment, it was a question, with a single step of what could be an experiment that is not fully formed by itself. Dude, if you're gonna call out the logical flaws in my joke, at least get them right :P
The Derek stories were awesome. I wish there were more tabletop episodes. Anyone knows anything new that's like tabletop? Game the game is a bit long for me.
This one was great. I love the "Reserved for Wil Wheaton" sign on the loser couch. That was a great touch. Still probably the best content on G and S. Glad to see more of it!
+Ichigo0Soul The original game is called Formula DE, DE I think is a reference to Germany. The update game is Formula D ( Dee.) That's why I presume they pronounced it oddly
I'd love to see the extended version of this show - and if it is only for listening to all the 25-zillion Frogger-background-story-thingies ... Probably one of the bst Tabletop-episode so far. I really enjoyed it. Thank you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much. *hugs* to all of you ...
I own the original Formula De and Formula D game and all of the tracks. Yes there are a bunch of of tracks. Love this game and glad to see that you played this on your show.
That's usually a reaction that hanna gets, specially when grace, Hanna and Mamrie hang out on their live episodes, she really stands out trying her best to be funny.. and loud. but who isn't when hanging out with friends and tries to be funny some times
I think this is my favorite episode of this show. All of these people are so quick witted, it's so much fun to watch them all play off each other.
This is one of the best episodes of Tabletop. They all had such great chemistry together.
"I can taste that finish line. And it tastes like cardboard." ~Hannah Hart, 2013
Best. Prediction. Face. Ever.
I want an episode with Grace and Felicia on it together just for the ludicrousness of hearing them tell each other about their characters
wolf870626 and don't forget the puns! There must be puns!
wolf870626 Dr. Hannah used to know Derek before the zombie apocalypse, I think
+Arakan Shriek, they were co-working rivals, before Derek became a racer.
SOMEONE MAKE THIS HAPPEN
Please yes!
derrick: the best developed game character since dr. hannah
YES

👌
I really loved all the backstory Grace kept making up.
Some of the best chemistry between guests. I would love to see this same crew back playing another game, maybe a Zombie game where Grace will have a backstory every turn, and Hannah will pun-off. This is still the best episode of Tabletop for me .. this line-up would be great to see again.
Have you not seen the "Pandemic" episode? Plenty of great humor and fun...that is *not* loud, annoying, and obnoxious (unlike this vanity-fest).
Greg Heilers I completely agree. I had to turn it off. Unbearable.
"Making noises is mandatory" *dead stare* :3 I giggled just a little
it's a shame that they never told us how frogger got his nickname.
Who's Frogger?
"It's a fascinating story..."
Truly a shame we will never know how frogger got his nickname
That's why he's a legend.
I believe this is my favorite collection of guests. Really Funny!
I just want to do this ALL OF THE TIME.
Grace was outstanding on this.
This is my favoritest Tabletop ever. So much fun. All of them had fun...and shows and damn this is what I need right now.
Man, how cute is Grace. Adorable.
You know you watch too much UA-cam when you can guess the date/year because Grace has bangs.... Good lord.
LOL i love that
One of my favourites so far, lots of laughter to be had :D
Silly puns just add up to awesomeness :D
Wow this one was hilarious! What a great cast
Brandon Hoffman Why, look who it is... The sexiest man I know.
Fancy meeting you here! And to think I thought UA-cam was an island surrounded by a sea of 14 year old morons!
Brandon Hoffman Haha I know right? You were like a beacon of hope in this desolate, idiotic wasteland
Oh god I can't wait till the extended version of this comes out. I'd love to hear all the side conversations from the group!
This is the best episode ever! The people invited, the whole energy, the game and editing wow!
Grace is my spirit animal .
Please bring back Grace and Hannah. Please throw in Mamrie as well you might as well have the whole Holy Trinity.
I think they play D&D, then you throw in Felicia Day as the DM.
Sometimes Greg plays games on TableTop and sometimes he doesn't !
Such great energy from all the players for this game. One of my personal favorites of Table Top history.
Super fun episode that acually prompted to buy this game for my group's game nights. I waited SO long to hear a joke about him crossing the street and then being called Frogger for it (as in the game Frogger) but it never came... ;__;
but their playing a game where there is a road and there are lines going across it and there is a guy named frogger the joke is already there it didn't need to be said
damn you're cute
Oh my god Grace, you were on a roll! (see what I did there...) But really that Jackson Pollock pun blew my mind.
Holy crap! This was the best group of people to put together! I want another episode with them in it!
Well done for the stepping the humour up a few notches in the new series - i hope this keeps up, it was relentless!
I wasn't particularly looking forward to this episode, but for me Greg Benson was hilarious and Grace Helbig just brilliant - a flawless synergy of unexpectedness and wit. This is the first I'd heard of either of them, but they were seriously impressive.
im pretty sure im in love with Grace after this
THAT'S IT!
The ending killed me!
I am dead now!
IncapableLP R.I.P. you
Ten years later this is still the best episode of table top. What an ensemble.
I think this was my favorite group so far. We need the extended edition for this one!
Did I just spend 25min on watching people playing a board game and actually enjoyed it? UA-cam changed me and I don´t know how to feel about that.
I think we need Grace, Aisha, and Felicia on an episode playing cards against humanity!!
I love Grace and Hannah. I like to think my friends and I are kind of like them.... We're just as awkward, but not quite as funny.
spent the past two days rewatching all the tabletop episodes. this is definitely my favorite!
Please do another episode with Grace and Hannah! I've watched this episode about 10 times. It's one of my favorites!
They should re-dub this video with Jeremy Clarkson narrating.
Racecar drivers are cooler than spaceships? I beg to differ
Especially considering that he said earlier that spaceships are cooler than spaceship pilots. So, by extension, racecar drivers are cooler than spaceship pilots? I most /certainly/ beg to differ.
Ayrton Senna > Apollo 13
I have found the connection between TableTop and Beer and Board Games, and his name is Greg Benson!
Tabletop is such a great show due to Wil. Please continue making them.
My god that was fun to watch. XD I love it when they get really into the backstory of the character and Hannah was really good with the puns.
Seems like the Danger Die should be a D6 just to add more excitement.
I went to high school with Grace... I didn't know she was famous.. cool
N, t
I went to high school with Michael Moore... I didn't know he was famous. cool
I went to high school with Nick... I didn't know he was famous. cool
Adam Martinelli!!! Is that you! Long time no see old buddy!! I didnt know you where famous, its me, from the high school you went to!
Michiel Tummers - u ruined it
My brother and boyfriend thought this game would be boring, but now it's the game of choice for both of them. I want us to learn Pandemic, dangit, and have - so far - been overruled. Next time, I'm going to make sure we do! >:O
In short, this is a fun game that you can adjust in complexity depending on your interest and time.
pandemic is awesome. i have the first expansion. It's on the verge of being required for the game because it adds so much.
Pandemic is incredible. Like Wheaton says in that episode, you will have more fun *losing* in Pandemic, than in *winning* most other games.
Yeah, we did eventually start playing Pandemic and that is currently the favorite game. It really is as fantastic as it's reputed to be.
This was among the best episodes so far. I'm looking forward to the extended cut to see all of Forgger's stories and every pun! TableTop is one of the best shows on Geek and Sundry and UA-cam in general!
This is one of the episodes where the sides of my face actually hurt from smiling too much.
Great combo of people.
In what world is being a race car driver cooler than being a spaceship?
in a world where the terms and idea of spaceships never existed
I'm surprised she didn't say it races my self esteem
maybe she did. there are many puns and bios we didnt hear
I NEED TO HEAR HER SAY IT THOUGH
LOL Great race Plus Hannah is a riot! LOL
I've only watched a few of these so far, but damn, this was HILARIOUS. And the Sweetie Bot shirt? I have no words for my adoration of this episode. Well, I guess that was one.
Can't wait for the extended version so we can listen to all the banter!
Could someone educate me on why it's pronounced 'day' for the name Formula D? Instead of the letter? :D
The answer to this can be found on the Formula D wikipedia page.
On what planet is being a race car driver more awesome than being a spaceship? I've no idea, but I know which one of those two could help us find out, AND IT'S NOT THE RACE CAR DRIVER.

Dude, if you're gonna call out the logical flaws in my joke, at least get them right :P
CodenameJD I think he was being sarcastic. Unless you are being sarcastic as well. Then this is just full circle.
We will never get out of our solar system. It's mathematically impossible for us.
Gotta love these presenters and the interviews, gold.
12:46 blew her fucking mind lol
Where are you getting Formula "Day?" It's Formula "DEE."
+Ichigo0Soul This is a re-release of Formula Dé. To show the revisions and whatnot they dropped the é, but it's still pronounced the same as before.
+Ichigo0Soul The original game is called Formula DE, DE I think is a reference to Germany. The update game is Formula D ( Dee.) That's why I presume they pronounced it oddly
Why am I just finding out about grace on this show now
She used to be a regular on the G4 Network, mostly on "Attack of the Show."
Same here. She is super cute and witty.
oh man that was awesome. Love that everyone looked like they were genuinely having a blast.
Of all the episodes I have seen, this is my favourite one! So good!
i love grace but she looks like the kind of woman that is going to stab you if you try to leave her...
That's New Jersey for you
Frank Gervasi I can attest to this. ugh...
V Guyver is that a " ugh, im covered in blood now!" or "ugh, this stab wound hurts"
PHANTOMCOWGIRL both from experience. I'm the lucky one, I witness two people thrown out a third floor window once from a lovers quarrel. NJ Indeed...
V Guyver geez, i hope the guy *or girl* survived. well, not living like a potato either.
Maybe Hannah Hart should do this show since it raises her self esteem and then Wil Wheaton should do her's since I'm sure alcohol will raise his.
Why aren't there any nods to frogger the game
thatsthejoke.jpg
THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST GROUPS THEY HAVE HAD SO FAR!!!
OMGGG I swear i spit out all my juice on the keyboard because of 14:12 when he explains how frogger got his nickname!!....lmao!!!!
*squee* Sweetie Bot T-shirt!!!
Set phasers to hug!
Formula Day?
Is Hannah wearing her Christmas Sweats pants?
I'd love to see the extended version of this show - and if it is only for listening to all the 25-zillion Frogger-background-story-thingies ...
Probably one of the bst Tabletop-episode so far. I really enjoyed it. Thank you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much. *hugs* to all of you ...
I own the original Formula De and Formula D game and all of the tracks. Yes there are a bunch of of tracks. Love this game and glad to see that you played this on your show.
Greg Benson is the greatest
The pun-o-meter grows so fast... And you don't even share the puns with us????? I'm TIREd of this crap!
I can't be the only one who thinks Grace tries waaaay to hard to be funny, can I?
Thats kind of the joke most of the time. Cringe humor, bad jokes on purpose. I still enjoy it but it's something you either like or HATE
Okay, I guess I can understand that. Gets on my nerves personally, but clearly she has an audience that enjoys it.
A lot of the potential try-hardiness is cancelled out by her excellent deadpan, imo.
That's usually a reaction that hanna gets, specially when grace, Hanna and Mamrie hang out on their live episodes, she really stands out trying her best to be funny.. and loud. but who isn't when hanging out with friends and tries to be funny some times
I think your top hat is definitely funnier
I also feel that way.
Third time watching this episode and it's still awesome!!! Easily the best TT-episode ever!
Sorry, but this game looks boring as hell.
Doesn't just LOOK boring as hell. It IS boring as hell!
Just like real racing.
very boring...
Their only fun comes from puns anyway
This game is actually really fun
formula Deez nuts
I can't remember being this entertained by all the guests in a TableTops session. Grace is awesome, and everyone else not that far behind either.
Can't wait for the Extended Edition of this video!
I love roleplay and felicia is amazing at it, and here I love how grace gets involved in her characters backstory
I like how he says these two games combined don't even take as much time as a normal game on the show, yet this is one of the longest episodes
Wil’s car noises were the highlights for me. I couldn’t get enough of them.
Please release the extended version after the edit one! I loved watching all the extended videos.
One of the best episode. Kempt, yet bursting. Laughing is rarely this much fun!
I'm so looking forward to season 2. Thanks Felicia!
SO glad to see this back...definitely a game I need to pick up too.
This was a seriously funny episode. I loved it!
Who else also thinks that its high time we got a new season of this awesome show??
It's been a while since I caught up with Tabletop. There are so many amazing guests lately
Thank god table top is back!!!! Thank you will for this show. I wish this was on TV too!!!
I will never stop loving Grace's creativity when it comes to improv and character development :P
Wil, Grace, and Hannah in the same video? I just died of all the amazing from this.
Probably the best episode of Tabletop ever.
Well aren't you just the sweetest! Thank you. I am feeling much better. And now I'm going to watch all of the Tabletops. Or all of the Daily Graces.
This is one of my all time favorite episodes
