It’s a subtle but powerful character moment that Bruce knows all the cops names and faces by heart. It shows much time he spends behind the scenes obsessively planning everything.
Likely spent a lot of time at police balls getting to know the officers who could attend. In the end, they would think he was Mr. Big Pockets, but in actuality he became the best law enforcement partner to those who, like Gordon, wanted to protect Gotham. That kid that was worried about his family and was almost ready to do what he felt he needed to do was likely given a couple days off by Gordon and then put back on duty after the Joker was incarcerated. Gordon understood and wouldn't have wanted to punish him. Just take him out of the situation until it was resolved. Christ, if his wife or kids were in a hospital then, who knows if Gordon could keep it together.
One of my favourite parts of Batman Begins was when he was investigating the police department (specifically Gordon) and looking into their files. It adds so much depth to his character.

When you realize how he mirrors Tony Stark by turning his company from being mainly weapons manufacturing to other things more beneficial to people. The one difference was that was how Wayne Enterprises began, being a company to help people, but was turned to darker means by Thomas Wayne's successors. Whereas Stark Industries was born out of the need for weapons during World War 2. And yet, Howard Stark did think of other things. The first times we see him live was in the film Tony found, with Howard sharing a subtle hint of ideas to a power source that would be beneficial to mankind, and the second time being Howard showing off his attempt at a car that could move without wheels. One thing I always hated were the constant jabs at how Tony Stark made his money. Which, admittedly, were kind of well-earned. Tony did lean a little too much on Stane and let Stark Industries be focused on weapons development at first. But as we find out over time, it wasn't what Howard wanted the company to be all about.
I also love how his expression is always cold and his demeanor seems dark . His sharp cheekbones and the way he dresses even. You'd think he's an evil asshole by looking at him but he's actually a really good guy. It's unexpected and I love it. You don't see that in most super hero movies. I would argue that even Tony Stark doesn't exude that kind of energy. Christian Bale played the role so well, wish they kept him in the franchise.

"The Lamborghini then, much more subtle" and then the Lambo roaring in, It's the best part of the scene
I think this guy could win some races with Ford GT 40.
The camera work when Bruce was driving the car was unbelievable.
ahh now I understand why Bruce Wayne drives a Lamborghini Murciélago... because "murciélago" which is the car model means bat in Spanish language =)
the Lamborghini then, much more subtle
fucking perfect delivery lol
Bale does rock the suit, doesn’t he?
He does
Fucking UA-cam adding Batman to my recommendations box. Now I have to watch Batman for the 18th time because, well Batman...
C.Bale is the best Batman actor ever...
Nowadays superhero movies are plain straight up in your face superhero scenes and sequences. The dark knight trilogy was special. It was a film first, and a superhero movie second.
"1:18" that nodded and little smile, the Batman 😨
RIP to that lambo
Should've been a 1990 Civic!
Literally loved that scene so much back when i watched it!! I randomly remembered it so i just HAD to look it up!! :))
That's what happens when Audi engineers the car. Good impact absorption, exceptional in fact.
modelcitizen72 || if you really think a lambo or any car can take a hit from a pickup truck of that size at anywhere above 30 mph you're not smart...
That's a replica
That's actually Italian engineering lmao . Audi just owns the company
@@lclnbm Nope, it's the real deal they used for that scene.
@lclnbm No it's not. Lamborghini supplied 3 real Murcielagos but fortunately only had to use 1.
I love how Bats perfectly plays his dumb playboy "mask". It was Batman that saved Reese, he just wearing his Wayne costume.
I love the split second of the Joker in the nurse outfit after he asks if he should go to the hospital.
Alfred: What exactly is your superpower again, master Wayne?
I'm rich.
I like the look he gives to the guy who was about to leak batman's identity. Just heroic and selfless.
I know comedy is in every movie but some of them just hit different. This was one of them.
"You think I should go to the hospital"?
LMAO
"Much more subtle" I LOVE THE SUBTLE HUMOUR IN BATMAN!!!
The Joker was tops in THE DARK KNIGHT but for me it was still BATMAN who rocked this film. Christian Bale was brilliant as Bruce/Bats
one of my favourite moments from the whole trilogy
0:11 i just got this alfred was being sarcastic
"You think i should go to the hospital?"
I love how he jokes.
