They also do pety things to one another like dump leafs or grass clippings on each other's lawns. It blows my mind. I feel like bickering children act more rationally.
its because we are raising a nation of grown up children that dont believe they are 100% responsible for their own actions.... there is always something someone else said or did that is the reason behind their own behavior.
@@xisotopex You hit the nail in the head there. Those people were BULLIES flat out. The wife was a trouble maker and used her husband to back her up. This is a lesson to treat people how you want to be treated. They learned the hard way. This will continue to happen because people get tired of being victims and snap one day. I was always taught there is always someone bigger and badder than you. The husband didn't believe that until it happened.
I disagree I believe they got what they deserved. I understand many will disagree and that's okay because justice doesn't follow my view. Nevertheless it is my belief that they pushed this man who if I heard right is a widow and they unnecessarily verbally emotionally pushed and bullied him. Certainly hardly empathic to those who are heartless. Did they ask for it? Yes but if someone "asks" for something then they certainly deserve it in my opinion. Okay with crocodile tails an all that play stupid games. I myself called someone a coward a p word when someone almost ran past a stop sign and almost hit me blamed me but I had right of way and called him all that and challenged him to get out of vehicle and fight me. A little info for you about this case. 1. The shooter had lost his mother to cancer 2 weeks prior. He had received a hardship discharge from the navy. In order to care for his mother. 2. He had no one left in his family. His brother was killed in Afghanistan in 2013. So only his mother was left in his family. 3. The two victims were shoveling snow on his sidewalk the whole winter. They had done this to his mother in prior winters. She was 78 and had to clean up the snow from her sidewalk by herself. 4. When he first called the victim a scumbag. He was cleaning his back walkway. As he returned to the front he seen that they had pushed the snoe from their parking spaces. Onto his sidewalk that he had just cleaned off. 5. The police were called on the couple multiple times over the years by his mother and others. The police did nothing because they say that no laws had been broken. All in all this whole situation is sad. Three people died a senseless death because people don't realize when to back off. That couple knew what they were doing was wrong. But continued to push a person over that edge. When the gun came out you should know to keep your mouth shut and descalate the situation. That is not a time to try and be a tough guy or girl.
I'm against capital punishment - it's a moral viewpoint even tho I understand why people think it's ok... ... but my heart is more with the shooter in this situation. This all should have been dealt with much sooner. Rip to JS. Of course the Goys didn't deserve to die, but it's tough to imagine them as innocent.
Here in Metairie (suburb of New Orleans) we had a case where a guy in his 50's was a bully to his older neighbor. The older neighbor was backing his truck out his driveway with window down and bully neighbor sprayed water from his hose in the guy's face. Older guy then pulled out a gun and shot the bully to death. Lesson of this story: never bring a garden hose to a gunfight
I read somewhere that the couple bullied everyone in the neighborhood. They had bullied this man numerous times, apparently, and why they went to the trouble to take snow from their driveway and go all the way across the street to his is beyond me. They'd done it the week before, as well. The man was known to be timid and lonely. I can understand what drove him to this act since it seemed as if he had nothing to lose. It must have been very satisfying for him in the moment, but it's tragic that he lost his life over this. I don't feel sorry for the couple.
And the ass*ole couple antagonised him and brought this on despite not only being parents (bad example and inviting danger) but he was home and upstairs when all this happened. Luckily the guy had no interest in hurting the boy (nor the two teens who showed up at the scene, when he briefly went back inside, who heard and came to help), he was angry but not nuts. Poor kid. Maybe the bully parents abused him also. Either way they put their son at risk and were teaching him to abuse others but I'm sure he loved them and now he lost them both. He's autistic and now being raised by the grandparents.
The man who shot the foul mouthed neighbors was a decorated Navy Vet. And he still sounded calm until he brought out his rifle. The couple was probably to him, diseased stricken dogs that needed to be put down.
No excuse for murder. But, theres always a but. I couldnt help but wonder and get a sick feeling that they most likely talk like this around their son. They look like normal people but in my unprofessional opinion they were narcissists. Who fricken taunts a guy like that even after pointing a gun at you and even after shooting you? They were on some kind of crazy pills.
The way the woman behaved was surreal. It's like she was completely detached from the reality of the situation. Someone is pointing a loaded gun at you, and you whip out a cell phone and start daring them to shoot? I wouldn't be surprised if she was a psychopath herself.
Bullies like this have probably been called out by a few people in their life only to get the person to back down because a normal person won't ultimately go all the way. So she thought this would be the same couldn't believe the bluff has finally been called.
@@danielmccoy8553 Yup, I completely agree. It's like: "The turkey fully expected to be fed tomorrow just like every day but tomorrow was Thanksgiving."
James and Lisa Goy committed suicide by neighbor by the way they constantly came after him. They were neighborhood bullies and still continued to egg the guy on despite him being approached by a man with a locked firearm and even as he shot at them where the first four bullets missed and yet they were still going after a vet with PTSD. The woman was still going forward with her phone and still egging him on.
It is a poignant reflection of our times that a person who has a gun pointed at them thinks filming the incident with their phone will be sufficient to protect themselves.
Very true but then to walk closer to the gun. Is that how bad things have gotten now when someone pulls a gun people throw insults and walk towards the gun 😱 What ever happened to running in the opposite direction 🤷🏻♀️
No, this is not a “reflection of our times” its a reflection of one woman whose abject ineptitude was surpassed only by her arrogance. The overwhelming majority of people would not and do not believe that filming a man with a gun that is pointed at them is a good way to protect themselves.
@@jeremybamgbade I agree with your assessment of this woman but I dont claim that most people would do what she did in that situation. Her actions though do reflect however many people's obsession with recording everything on their phone even at times in conflict situations.

I think James Goy's "make your life a living hell here" threat was a terrible mistake, because it's actually possible to do that to a neighbour and get away with it. Anyone who has seen a lot of these videos, or just has life experience, can tell you that the couple was clearly the aggressor here. Their body language and how they act in unison says everything. They've clearly done this kind of thing together many times before. Allegedly to Mr. Spaide. The only tragedy here is that their victim lost his life, too.
Not that it matters too much, especially now. But she said “ your the scumbag, you don’t bother with anyone”. As opposed to “you don’t know how to talk to anyone”. I think that’s important because it shows that she thinks he is a “scumbag” for keeping to himself. And also shows there may have been some form of gossiping among the neighbors prior to this incident.
What a stupid couple! Why would they continue to insult someone who was pointing a gun at them, and then still kept doing it when he went back into his house to fetch another firearm? 🙄

@Laith Ali innocent when there is a video of him killing 2 unarmed people? Lmao I hope he burns in hell along with anyone that agrees with this murderer
I've seen the whole video from beginning to the end.... just absolutely brutal... I can only say that the two people that were shot obviously didn't think that Spaide had the balls to shoot them there in the street it was an insane gamble by both of them that ended badly... I don't believe that Spaide intentionally wanted to shoot & kill the both of them just by the amount of warning shots he fired at first... but what I believe turned the whole thing into a bloody mess was the absolute ignorance of these two people especially the wife egging him on & their stupidity to just stand there while he continued firing away at them attempting to get them to back off which neither one of them had any notion or common sense to do... once Spaide saw that they didn't give a shit it just pushed him over the edge & that was it... Spaide killing himself was just the act of a man realizing he fucked up & there was no way out for him... just insane....
I agree with you. I think those are warning shots. Not many people think that. Also, when he says "you should have kept your f**king mouth shut, I wonder if he's referring to her daring him to shoot. Maybe he had restraint in the beginning and wanted only to scare them with the warning shots. But he was totally prepared to take it further to the end. I think he knew he would have to pay with his suicide immediately afterwards. I also think he was a troubled man who was probably depressed as well. The rumor about having lost his wife to cancer is definitely untrue. His obituary, which his family wrote, does not mention a pre-deceased wife. Just remember, folks, you can get help for depression in something as simple as a pill, though it may take a short journey to find the right one. And DO NOT be ashamed to get help for depression. Relief changes EVERYTHING.
@@jamesc.7990 Decent comment until you implied that a pill would fix your depression. It might... but it's frustrating for people like me with treatment resistant depression going on 30 years. Short journey? Heh.. laughable.
It’s always been mind-boggling to me, people holding up their phone and recording, acting like it made them invincible. Anybody who wants to harm you isn’t going to care of your recording.
I was curious if you were going to discuss this. I for one have personally had years of depression, and in fact, most of that was mixed with rage. After I went to therapy and learned about what was going on I realized I was destroying myself and that I had become a ticking time bomb. I realized that I have a low threshold for social confrontations, etc. Once I learned these things it really turned me around and I learned to control my anger and my reactions. These days I have less road rage, less impulsive reactionary anger, and less resentment in general. Also, I have more understanding and clarity when it comes to others. I really do believe that Spaide wanted to die. He wanted to kill. I think this was his opportunity to let the hate explode. I don't know if he was aware of what was going on, but that was what he became. I've been there myself, and I've felt the rage exhibited in that video. I WAS that guy. I WANTED TO BE that guy. I imagined being that violent to people. This was before 2013 when I got help. That is why I will never own a gun, because I know personally I cannot handle that responsibility. Instead, I am being responsible by not owning a firearm. YOU MUST HAVE SELF CONTROL. Bullies exist. But are you going to let them get the best of you? NO! Jeffrey Spaide made the mistake of letting it get the best of him. Now he and 2 neighbors are dead and their families are destroyed - plus all of their neighbors are now living in trauma from being terrorized by his tantrum. I know the neighbors were antagonizing him, but that's life - you're going to have opposition in many many forms. Some of it will come in petty name-calling and gutter-sniping. Don't be selfish. Love your neighbors. That video changed me forever.
I can relate to what you're saying. I think there's a possibility that owning a gun might change my behavior and lead to tragedy so I won't get one. Prisons and cemetaries are full of people who had to learn that the hard way.
"The disparaging remarks meant nothing" Bullshit. Bullying and harassment can psychologically and emotionally break people, especially if they have other underlying issues.

There might have been a bully factor too. You know, when you're arguing with just one person and you run out of curse words, it generally dissipates or someone calls the cops. Myself and another teacher had to tackle a student who was chasing another student with a claw hammer...it was all over a candy bar. I remember a man in St Louis killing another man for stealing a pork chop out of his lunch box. I don't get it....it's like the rational circuit in the brain shorts out.
The rational circuits are all in the frontal cortices. The reactive circuits are in the limbic brain AKA "The Guardienne," the “reactive unconscious," (Lacan), the “automatic self,” (Richard O’Connor), or the “adaptive unconscious" (Timothy Wilson). Once activated by an emergency or alcohol, that region tends to maintain control; it is semi-sentient and has no conscience. Feelings of invulnerability are not unusual in that state.
They bullied that man for years. and he finally lost it. Expect more of this as people get restless over these lockdowns. There are not good times ahead.
Obviously they didn't deserve to be killed buy its not really a good idea to call a Mad Man wacko a P**** and challenge him to a fight who has a gun 🙄 The couple sounded like A holes
I have watched that entire video. Those people 100% brought that upon themselves by trying to bully someone who was waaaay above their level of violence that day. When he came out with the first gun he fired at least 4 times over their heads, trying to give them a chance to de-escalate. The wife actually walked toward him calling him a MF, etc. and saying go ahead go ahead. The husband you could tell was more worried about what they caused to happen. He turned slightly sideways and stayed back from the shooter. The shooter hit him first which caused him to retreat back toward the garage. The next shot knocked the wife down in the street but she still kept cussing him and calling him a MF. Apparently a 9mm handgun doesn't have a lot of quick kill power or something because he had to go get a rifle out of his house to finish them off. Just a terrible story and a lesson to be learned for everyone about who you are trying to push around.
I watched the video many times and I counted 13 rounds fired. When the action stayed open on the last shot, the pistol did appear to be a Glock. Unless the magazine was not full, 13 rounds sounds more like a .40 Smith & Wesson out of a Glock 23. The rifle he used was a cheap carbine using pistol ammunition,(Kel Tech or something). If it was a .223 or .308 you would have heard the difference in sound. It will never be known.

I’ve seen and heard many people say that they don’t know why they were all so upset over a little snow. Snow had nothing to do with it. That was the final straw and they hated each other for months or years, guaranteed.
I am speechless, this seems like a scene from a movie. It’s difficult to understand what prompted Spaide to proceed with the murder/suicide. Maybe an underlying mental illness + the insults + stress of snow shoveling provided the perfect storm?! Regardless of his motive, this was extremely disturbing. This is indeed a very intriguing case and a cautionary tale for neighbors everywhere! Thank you for offering your thoughts, they are always much appreciated! ❤️
Apparently they were harassing that guy for quite a while and he finally just snapped. Can't say I really feel that sorry for the couple. They caused their own deaths.
They knew he was alone, was sad, seemed timid. I'm surprised to hear they abused the neighborhood at large. Usually these types select a single property owner, most often a woman.
@@pepelemoko01 Yes that will help. But how much better if people do not let themselves be overcome with frustration to start with. Addressing the stimulus so that addressing the response is not necessary.
What does stoicism teach you to do in the face of aggressive bullies? Do you know the whole story behind this video? The couple was walking shovelfuls of snow across the street and throwing it on his property, and it sounds like they had been doing it for some time before that. When he asked them to stop, they yelled and cursed at him; that was when he went inside and got his pistol, and the video began. If he had "turned the other cheek", they would have only done more to antagonize him. Stoicism is meant for controlling yourself in the face of events you can't control, not for rolling over like a coward when confronted by attackers. Sometimes, bullies need a bloody nose.
The way the woman pulled out her phone as the guy was walking toward her with the gun, she must’ve thought for a moment that he was an unarmed black man.
@@The_ScapeGoat Yes there is. What rock are you living under?!? Every day another Karen whips out her phone to call the police on a black person, doing nothing but living near her.
I guess you guys think that Karen’s only screw with people of colour. Nope. I’ve watched white boys get screwed over by a Karen on the warpath. Trust me, there’s nothing scarier than a Karen who 1) is about to cry 2) has a phone in her hand. Karen equals entitlement. Ive had neighbors like that, its hard to defend that behavior. You dont murder people but at the same time this behavior of pushing people has consequences and they felt the brunt of them.
I spit my coffee through my nose! God help me, I'm probably going straight to hell! Seriously!? WHAT is with people these days!? I live in a small rural town of 5500. They call US uncivilized rednecks!? All of the neighbors look out for one another here. My teens KNEW better than to pull anything growing up. I would hear about it before I even got home from work. Just the past weekend my adult daughter and I were sitting visiting ( she lives out of town in a large city) and she remarked how she remembered a neighbor knocking on the door Within less than a minute after two boys had knocked on the door and came to visit. Granted, the boys weren't there for anything more than to visit however it was against the rules to have boys over in the house when we were not at home. When I reached the front door after work she met me there complaining that the "nosy neighbor", had knocked on the door and ordered the boys out of the house. We both had a good laugh as she now has a teenage daughter of her own. Then we both said in sobering tones we wished that neighbors were still like that. I truly cannot conceive of this happening! it blows my mind. Everyone in this area has guns in their trucks guns in their homes and we have yet to have an accidental death, or a homicide by gun with the exception of an out-of-towner who came and committed such a crime during a robbery. When people say whatever happened to the good old days I truly do Wonder at times where this world is going to. "To Hell in a Handbasket" comes to mind.

Sorry, but that made me LOL
Ah, so the bully guy committed a classic example of "spray and pray"
He sprayed the older guy and then had to pray for an ability to turn back time.
All the snow melted
Fucked around and found out lol
“Big Lee” asked him to roll down his window so he could talk to him, then Big Lee spreader him in the face with the hose. “Big Lee” was a big A-hole.
It sounds like they (blanked) around and found out.
Men typically see a decrease in testosterone as they get older. Combine that with the male brain maturing in the mid 20s is why you don’t see as much aggressive or risk taking behavior among males.
Be kind to your neighbors and quit being difficult. This story is crazy

I'm an old man and I've seen people do some stupid stuff when angry.

How do you know?
I heard the warning shots, the husband should of went back in the house

That's why you don't act like dicks and bully anyone. You never know if your the final straw that broke the back.
The dead guy - “I’m going to make your life a living hell.” Shooter - “hold my beer.”

I really appreciate your focus on personal accountability and responsibility. For me this is the cornerstone of mental wellness.
What the world needs more than anything else is stoicism. To study Seneca, Epictetus and Marcus Aurelius.
How about limiting easy access to firearms.

Stoicism and a 38 special
The way the woman pulled out her phone as the guy was walking toward her with the gun, she must’ve thought for a moment that he was an unarmed black man.
yawn
@@The_ScapeGoat Yes there is. What rock are you living under?!? Every day another Karen whips out her phone to call the police on a black person, doing nothing but living near her.
And the shooter must've thought he was an African american male in the hood.
You have to be one really entitled person to walk up to somebody pointing the gun at you, and the first thing you think about is putting your phone at them. I feel absolutely no sympathy for either of these people.
@@ShelleyAnnM1 I know but jaquavious also shoots quavonte on a regular basis, and over less than snow. You're aware of that, right??
Ive had neighbors like that, its hard to defend that behavior. You dont murder people but at the same time this behavior of pushing people has consequences and they felt the brunt of them.
As Tim Dillon would say “she should’ve kept her mouth shut.”

Her life sure didn't slap.

Always remember, never bring a phone to a gunfight
This is what happens when bullies dont stop.
"Watcha gonna do, shoot me?"

It’s the ultimate bluff call. If you’re right, you’re forever a badass. If you’re wrong, your legacy will be that of a complete embarrassment
@@SS0895 you’re always stupid and never a badass if you try to call someone’s bluff that they won’t shoot you. That’s straight up cutting off your nose to spite your face. How little self preservation does one have to have to be willing to risk your own life over something so damn stupid?
@@lord_haven1114 I always thought the saying was ‘cut your nose off despite your face’ I was so confused, thanks for making it clear to me.
