nothing is impossible it might be possible to retrofit an ABS system but a lot of parts would be needed for that one to work. in my case the bike doesn't have ABS

Yes It should be no problem. if your'e going to do this then look for a bike that has been laid down and most of the fairings are scratched so that you can get it for a good deal

Yes it does. some bits are not identical to my 08-16 frame but it is close enough.

Someone else did it so I would say yes however there are some fitment challenges that need to be overcome with ingenuity that is all!
I saw 2-3 people did it. I have same r6 06-07 and want to convert it to 2017

You can't just do the rear sumbframe without doing the tank as well

some people remove the brand new fairings to convert their bikes to track bikes and you can buy them on ebay. or on the yamaha r6 facebook group.
