Like you said I'd personally probably stick with my current prepaid service provider as its cheaper and offers many of the benefits that the "aweSIM" is offering, definitely would love to see where they take their service tho

That’s one good thing about this product in my book. A lot of people don’t think about their cell provider and some alternatives (prepaid plans are absolutely bomb)
In the EU (i am from Germany) you can't even get prepaid card that work out of the box without activation online where you have to enter your name, address and some sort of id. And it has go be the end customer. No middle man. I am sure there are tricks/hacks where you are still able to get one anonymously, but the law sucks.
Edit: Apparently only in Germany. Not EU. But coming soon to your country. A EU wide plan is already in the making. But just not enough interest right now.

If Privacy cards (or a European equivalent) work outside the US, that would be the best way to pay for it. You can submit fake info that way too. What I love most about it is setting limits; either per transaction, month or year per digital card.

I have never ran linux before. I'm using Mint as a soft intro to linux so I could later use PureOS with one of their laptops.
Could you make a video on how to set up a SIM/cell plan anonymously? You said here it we could get Mint mobile without providing any personal information, but I don't see how to do that.
Interesting...I think sticking with mint is probably the better option. I have been using Mint Mobile for a year now with no problems
lol i find it od theres still carrier locked phones in the states its illegal in canada phones have to come out the box unlocked and any phone sold before the law came into effect has to be unlocked for free ... been years now so unless you phone is 10 years ago probly not going need it unlocked

Lack of awareness. Many prepaid plans are actually cheaper here
Sometimes plans offer customers trade ins for newest iPhone/Android, tied of course to 2year plan or some other stipulation to keep them on board.
They go contract for "deals" on the latest hype beast phone.

Offtopic, but I would really dig it if you (or anyone here) could help me with this question that bugs me eversince I try to value my privacy: What if a company just ignores my privacy settings? Can I still get tracked by an app, although I disabled tracking, etc.? Is it all built on trust until there is a leak?
I am putting in all this work on hardening my browser, changing settings on my phone, etc. - But how safe is it really?

Tmobile said today that they are stopping wifi-calling. Interesting. I think in May. 2021.
It seems pretty inconvenient for your wallet and it doesn't help that the apps on your phone pin point your current location, which can be used to compare to to the "anonymous" T-Mobile\AT&T users' tracking data.

No 5G. ATT and TMO. GSM. I am hoping Elon Musk allows us to make calls on Starlink. Very low latency is better for wifi calling.

All their products are over-priced; well, said. I was interested in their mini-pc but by the time, one adds memory, wifi-card, SSD, and more + shipping it is well over $1k And, this $99 /month talk-plan is absurd, too.
AweSIM sounds better than *SIMpering,* *SIMp,* *The AsSIMilator,* etc, but fair marketing practices should dictate a name like *_SIMplex_* since it emulates a herpes sore on my budget. Dayum. 😆

I don’t understand how people can complain about Purism’s priced for their laptops and new phones, when it looks like the same type of people who buy iphones and Mac computers, which are just as expensive.
purism Awesim also has unlimited tethering data too their phone treats data as data kyle rankin from purism said and he said its BS other providers limit tethering to a small set of data when data shoukld be data no matter where its used
Definitely prepaid is good, I get 30 gb for 28 days at 2 dollars in India

Prepaid options like Mint do offer roaming. You load up international credits before leaving. Not cheap, but still cheaper than paying an extra $70/month every month
if your in an overcrowded or poor service and you use A 3rd tear service you end up with lots of dropped calls and low data, over just going with ATT and paying them with privicy.com card... list the name as att customer and use a VPN... problem solved
Hey. I looked them up. They are not up and running yet. There is no such thing as a card mentioned. They dig out the data that was collected by the scum. Furthermore, they are connecting with people via FB and twotter. They sould like Palantir, a sneaky info gathering company.
Can you reccomend me an app which can give fake number and can be backed up by email.That way Id have to worry about cell company having my data =)

You buy the Librem from their site with YOUR debit card, they mail the phone to YOUR address, with a SIM card that will be used on att and T-Mobile’s network. There’s nothing private about that lol.

I thought it was visible enough. His voice was ver clear. He addressed all the concerns in the basics category. It is not easy creating a phone like this. The whole industry was having trouble getting stuff behind closed doors. I am so damn spoiled and I fight for what I want. Like everyone, I still have to pay. Oh well, life goes on.
