The U.S. Mint began setting weekly sales quotas for its flagship American Eagle silver coins in July because it can't meet demand, and the Canadian mint followed suit after record monthly sales in July. In Australia, the Perth Mint sold a record of more than 2.5 million ounces of silver this month, nearly four times more than in August, and has begun rationing supply of a new line of coins this month, a mint official said
If a coin graded as a Ms 70 and it got damaged while in the slab with milk spots or some other kind of damage on the coin, can you still sell it as a ms70 or do you have to mark the value of the coin down?? And if so how much do you discount it??
I am confused by your pricing? Spot is over 30. You can gets those coind for 2 bucks over spot ? Like for example tbat BU peace dollar would sell for min 40 to 45. Or am I crazy lol
Naw I can buy super common BU peace dollars for 35 right now, and the other ones weren't BU but they were nice I agree. 1 oz rounds I can get for +2 yes. The spotted slabbed Krug I discount because of the milk spots. The space coins may be worth more but I Ordered a silver pack so I was valuing based on Silver price.
$15 to ship? Do you guys not insure your packages? USPS will "loose" stuff and what insurance they offer with the base shipping is only $100. If they show it delivered they won't even cover that (porch pirates or the driver takes it). For me, when I ship I get a minimum of $500 which triggers a signature at delivery that way they can't just leave it at the door.
I ship a lot of packages... a LOT. Only two has ever went missing. Losing those packages cost me about $500... I would have spent more than $10,000 on insurance up to that point if I insured every package I've ever shipped (even more since because it's been a while). I do occasionally purchase insurance... if it's an extremely high value package or going to an area known for package theft etc. You should know though that USPS insurance also does not cover packages that is showed as delivered. So, as you pointed out, getting a signature is important in some situations.
@@SilverSeeker In my circles I've had a lot of contemporaries have shipments get "lost". For me, I insure for what it will cost me to make the item again f it's lost or stolen. I've found priority USPS to be the most efficient way but I still don't trust them. lol.
@jamesmcclendon1203 maybe but the numbers don't lie. There's a reason they sell insurance, because it is a big profit maker for them. If I lost a 10,000 package today I'd still be positive vs having bought insurance over the years. Obviously I'd never ship a 10k package without insurance lol but you get the idea... it adds up quick.
