Anytone Ares II, an initial impression and unboxing video.

A short overview of the new generation of CB transceivers by Anytone. Today, it will be the Ares II SSB/AM/FM with 35 watts pep output on SSB. Many menu driven features available, notably for Hams are the variable Noise Reduction which is very effective, frequency readout and split clarifier for TX only, RX only/RIT or both TX n RX. Other features are great for die hard 11-meter CBers like the many variations of Roger Beeps, Echo, etc. Unfortunately, the 10-meter band is quiet this morning and so I did the review on the 11-meter band. In short, it is a great radio and at 35 watts, it would work the World on 10 meters. 73 de YB0NSI and JZ09BCQ..

It's crap . Cheap made. Microphone sucks , it's basically computer driven, so that leaves out many people who might want one . Just to name a few reasons. I not sure they are even making them anymore.
