If you guys loved the trilogy here are some mods that in my opinion captured the mysterious feeling of the trilogy: Made by Jekan: Return to the Zone(3 story campaigns and a story extraction mode), Goldensphere OGSR(based on Roadside Picnic), OGSR Legacy(pretty much a remake of ShoC with lots of cut content and user made content). Team V.I.V.E.N.T.: Incubator, Dreamcatcher(sequel to Incubator). They have more great mods but they still are hard to understand Machine translations. zaurus' crew: Apocalipsis Trilogy OGSR, Fallen star(also called "Der gefallene Stern" sequel to A-Trilogy), Last STALKER(sequel to Fallen Star) Creators/teams I forgot the name of: True Stalker(if you don't mind cutscene glassjaw), Dollchan infinity, Road to the north(story/free play hybrid, main story starts at Skadovsk), Path in the Mist, Wind of Time(it starts with timetravel from the year 2114 back to 2014 and has some big twists)
the "fans" of stalker criticizing stalker 2 because of graphics (or other things related of playing the mods and not the original ones) are unaware of the new opportunities the new game base will bring to the mod community, just imagine the mod in this video is awesome and is just for call of chernobyl.
Nobody is complaining about how the game looks. Everyone is complaining about locking off part of the game unless you give them more money. And with the amount that shithole country has gotten, this game should be free to everyone in the Western World. I sure know it's going to be free for me!

Tbh I prefer EFP over Gamma because EFP is more simplified. A lot of Gamma's mechanics are so bloated and some of them are just confusing asf to learn. I didn't understand the weapon condition system until I played EFP. That said, what I really want for S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 is a mix between Shadow of Chernobyl and Call of Pripyat
CoC is my fav mod for years, i just discovered Global War mod witch is based of CoC with even more maps and 30 factions, it would be dream come true if someone implement it with the mod..
STALKER is easily my favorite series and gunslinger my favorite mod. Thank you and the UA-cam algorithm for bringing the IWP mod to my attention. This is the perfect way to kill time in anticipation for STALKER 2.
I remember playing Call of Chernobyl years ago and doing tons of different playthroughs with different factions. Being able to mod a mod was a very cool concept I hadn't seen much of before. I love the originals, I like Anomaly, I like Gamma. I see no reason why you can't like both, but it's definitely not a good idea that Stalker 2 should be like Gamma. Some elements? Sure. Exact same? Removes the idea of it being a sequel
I did like COC but haven't played it since Anomaly came out. I was playing with Arsenal Overhaul amongst others. IWP seems like a nice reason to play it once more :) Nice video, +1 subscriber 👍
This is a bit of a hail Mary, as I love the direction of this mod, but it's not working for me on a fresh install. Installed it as instructed in the readme, yet something's off with how the mod is packed on my end. The game was CTDing immediately because it couldn't find the 4k ui files...because the 4k file was being kept OUTSIDE of UI. So I fix that easily enough, the game starts up to the main menu. Now it CTD's on a new game due to "XML node not found". The only thing I added through JSGME is the English translation. The XML files cited are present in the gamefiles, but it cannot initiate for some odd reason. Most I've found is that this can generate from mod conflicts, but...there're no other mods. Just CoC 1.4.22 + English Translation + I.W.P patched to its latest release as per the instructions. I'd go to a more official location for a bit of help here but...well, certified American moment: I only speak English. Any advice as to where to go to get this resolved? I hope it's something stupid simple.
Never mind, I discovered the problem. I followed the steps a bit too literally. I installed the latest patch, but I mistook the "mini-patch" as a standalone and neglected the prior full patch's DL link in the text document. Hopefully this comment helps anyone who made a similarly silly mistake.
Very interesting video dude, I've only played CoC because the other two, I've had friends who discouraged me to play them because they are less fun than the first... but I want to test Anomaly, which I have on my PC since at least one full year, but haven't touched it yet, and obviously I will give a try to those mods as well when I have time.
As someone who played GAMMA first and has never played the trilogy, I’m excited for stalker 2. I know it will be nothing like gamma and that’s exciting for me and I am looking forward to experiencing an updated version of the original STALKER vision
Recommendations what vanilla plus mod packs to use for the original 3. They have been in my backlog for a while now. I want more modern mechanics but not Tarkov level more like features in stalker 2 and anomaly.

I was introduced to stalker from watching OpDrewski play gamma. I then played through all the original games and loved them. They are obviously way different than Gamma in mechanics, but gameplay of doing missions to get money and explore the zone is the overall gameplay that both encompass. I've never seen a single comment complaining that stalker 2 isn't going to be like gamma. I've only ever seen comments or videos of people complaining about "people complaining about it not being like gamma" I honestly don't think anyone actually expects stalker 2 to be like gamma. I've heard more purist complain that stalker 2 isn't going to be like the original stalker. Even though I've seen nothing from the trailers that shows any difference in the game beside graphics and story. Probably not the right video to comment this on, but I just see comments on every stalker video of people saying the same shit.

This mod implements the scope magnification in image the best so far without the stuttering. Desolation had Tarkov insanity gun modding to a new level but the scope things were causing major stuttering

Thank you for this video. Ive been struggling to get into Stalker. Im not very good at shooters but really wanted to experience stalker and a more easier experience of Anomaly and Gamma and i gotta say CoC and IWP is amazing! Its still challenging but not as challenging as Anomaly and Gamma. Ive finally had that stalker experience ive been wanting. Currently im a merc living in the dead city with my merc buddies. Its quite a cool feeling to do a quest then to return home and sit by your pals next to a fire. And the best part the guns are super cool and fancy. I played a bit of SoC and its fun but the dated graphics were a bit of a bummer so being able to have some cool guns and nice graphics is great

Hey man, this was a great video, I downloaded IWP today with the Call of the zone addon for it, & I noticed there was only Military in Cordon, do different npcs spawn in areas? I notice you were fighting monolith there & was curious how dynamic the npcs are
@@Omi-han First, thank you for enjoying the video. Depending on what addons you're using, some NPC spawns may change, I still ran into some occasional banits and military, but some quests like "Into the fray" and "Brothers in arms" will have you take on squads of a certain enemy faction.
How does IWP compare to Stalker Custom? I dont care about the politics around Custom, it is by far the most insane looking mod pack for Stalker that I have ever seen. Im not sure if theres a way to get the IWP overhaul with the Custom graphics, but i dont think there is.
I haven't played Anomaly Custom myself, but I heard mixed reviews about it (mostly from salty Anomaly haters), if graphics are what you're looking for, Anomaly Expedition is also a really neat-looking modpack.
Hey thanks for making this video, I jumped on the game immediately after watching it! While playing for the first few hours I noticed that the Loner trader (beside Xenotech) doesnt appear despite a star showing on his place in the minimap. Wondering if this is a bug...
First off, glad that the review got some people to try it, second, I think the star itself is a bug, because I never found that trader in any of the CoC-based mods (Anomaly, vanilla CoC, CoTZ etc)
I don’t know, Gamma kind of feels like you’re not the hero. You’re just a random Stalker surviving in The Zone. The best part about it? When I get tired of Gamma, I can download other mods and play a different style of Stalker. If they made a Brony Stalker modpack, I could choose to download that and play it. That’s the beauty of PC modding. You can choose to play whatever mod is available or just play vanilla in all its broken glory.

Gsc could release another game in the old xray engine with old graphics and id be happy. Anomaly brought me in I’ll admit, but i never really liked it. I decided to buy the trilogy and i absolutely fell in love. I started with clear sky because i heard it was the first in sequential order and didn’t play anything else until id beaten call of pripyat. Not a real fan of the endless sandbox of anomaly or its mods but the stories and the zone itself i cant get enough of.
Weird, I never had a problem with enemies being too bullet spongy. For context I’ve played and beat all 3 stalker games on the hardest difficulty (for higher bullet damage) and I’ve also played anomaly. Larger mutants do take a lot more damage, but smaller mutants, zombies, and other stalkers are usually dead after one or two headshot or a few body shots and I’ve never seen a zombie take that much damage before dying in the original games. Is that only a problem with COC?
@@nokh3382 The myth behind master difficulty making you deal more damage is something I still can't 100% confirm nor deny, but since you didn't struggle with bullet sponges, that could be cause you were hitting headshots. As for CoC, the base damage profiles are quite rough.
@@CptVityaz Possibly, however now that I think about it, it has been a couple years since I played the original games so I may just be remembering things incorrectly. If I happen to play again I’ll try to make a save on the hardest and easiest difficulties to confirm if the rumour’s true.
@@CptVityaz The damage values have been datamined. It's a myth that ended up being the opposite. You do 20% more damage in SoC on novice, and the Strelok boss takes 50% less damage from you on master in CS. CoP has no damage modifier for difficulty. SoC's Makarov, combined with random bullet deviation chance, is just such a bad starter weapon that it managed to warp player perception for all 3 games. CS alone disproves the myth because weapon accuracy was nerfed across the board to compensate for the upgrade system, and difficulty changes nothing. What master does is lower your damage resistance, shrink the loot chance, and increase enemy grenade throw range. On a side note, if you ever see an enemy do a "flinch" animation when they're hit, stop shooting at them. For some reason during that animation they take zero damage, but will often die after one more hit or drop dead once the animation ends. Sorry for the long comment, but this myth bugs me because people think mods are effected by this too despite being something that modders would immediately notice.
Agreed, i mean honestly as a fan of the og games. I have to say, i never understood why people are hyping gamma. Personally i think it's just a mod that's for people that don't want stalker. They want "tarkov:mutie and artifacts edition".
@@grzybniak5158 I never played tarkov and I love GAMMA and I also love the vanilla games. I look at them as 2 separate games in the same universe. It should be obvious from all the comments in this video (and all other stalker videos) that every player has his own preference and they can rarely be explained in such a simple manner like "ppl just want tarkov with mutants and arties"; preferences are formed from all the previous games that clicked with that player in his/her gaming history and 2 players almost never played and liked 100% of the same games...

There is an addon for it that is similar to warfare, but it’s not been adapted to the latest patch, it’ll probably get another update by the time the standalone release comes out.

Stalker modder are another breed entirely with the whole history of the previous games.
I may have not played every Stalker mod in existence, but I will recommend you something from what I've played, keep in mind that this is purely subjective and you may or may not like these picks: Best shooting: IWP (Call of Chernobyl), LFO (Clear Sky) Best nature and visuals: EFP (Anomaly modpack) Gameplay: this is hard as it heavily depends on the player's definition of "good gameplay", but for me, I really enjoyed *Call of The Zone* and Old World Addon Optimization: IWP by far Overall, if you want something that's fun to play, looks good and runs well, I highly recommend Call of The Zone (for freeplay) or True Stalker (for story) Hope you found this helpful!
i can allways recommend Gamma or EFP. Call of the North is also great. for something more to the original Trilogy i would reccomend Anthum Aurora and Gunslinger
Already tired of -Far Cry: Chornobyl Edition- STALKER 2 and tired of the Anomaly mod mechanics. I finally have a reason to revisit this old mod again. Broken weapons? Upgrade? Just do it. Why should we find a book first or crafting tools or upgrade parts if the mechanics are there? Even MISERY isn't that miserable.
I don't quite get this one It's just Anomaly/Gamma gunplay. You can install more gun mods on them if you feel that's isn't enough variety, and disable certain mechanics that you don't like.
Nah, this mod ain't for me. Because, back in the days as a kid I had all time in the world to play games, but these days as adult I want to just jump in, enjoy the game for the rest of my free time and have fun. So playing the mod that makes gameplay difficult, where enemies kills you too fast and you have to run away and hide to survive, is not my thing. And in general, that is not what Stalker is about. Yes, it has RPG mechanics but in general, it's a basic first person shooter. It doesn't aim to be realistic, it aims to be fun for everyone and that is why I loved Stalker in the first place, and later I loved it for the atmosphere and everything else. So yeah, I hate when mod makes games like Stalker too much realistic because, that is not why I play video games in the first place. Because video games for me personally is escapeism. It allows me to escape from the real world and have fun. So why would I bring real world in to the game if I'm trying to escape from the real world? Yes, there is simulators that are too realistic, but Stalker is not a simulator. And thus should remain fun in the first place, and not "one shot, one kill" game. Loosing the game in the first 5, or so, minutes is not fun. Thus why I hate mods like these, that makes the game too realistic just because kids these days didn't sniff enough of real world outside.

Tell me, can you own multiple guns[especially rare one], be an ace with them, be a “super soldier”, be a martial art expert, a skilled tank owner etcetera all simultaneously in this life? No. However, you can in video game, it's why peoples like “realistic” / “believable game”. Because it allows you to have these things without the downside, and to have them "feel" and "act" like the real deal. Much better than the ignoramus gamey gamers “i label my need to degenerate everything and for a weakness fantasy as “escapism” “ filled with things that don't act, sound and are even weaker than the real thing [“futuristic downgrade” come to mind]. Or the peoples with the religious fetish for destroying martial techniques and turning everyone into a sentient fidget spinners who are constantly overswinging to show off theirs armpits. Or peoples who instantly blandify plate armor, reduce the helmet[and the head] to the size of a pea while enlarging the shoulder pads... There; another example, how about how building game like to nerf warehouses? “oh warehouse make life too easy, it oppresses me, i need to escape from warehouses by nerfing them in my video game”. Now get me, i don't like those mod because they are not realistic, they are sadomasochistic, but they dress it as “realism” which just further proves those peoples are evils. But your argument is really just a lie and a “cite every intricacy, or they don't exist”. Beside, if you look at the game, enemy take multiple shot, there is even a point where he headshot a junior sergeant with a shotgun yet still lose. Quite awful .

@MGoogle3146 I think EFP is quite nice. It is more focused on realism compared to IWP. However, you can't really compare the 2 as IWP is more of a "classic mod compared to EFP, which is just Anomaly in its core, so you get all the Anomaly bloat and jank with it.
People who complain about their poor little expectations not being met can go eat a plutonium rod. Some of those devs are out fighting a real war. Learn to manage your expectations. You are living in the most technically developed countries and can play literally tens of thousands of games. Products should deliver on their promises but the customer is not always right. @@CptVityaz i had 0 problems at all and played it for over a month just fine before going backwards, it was very self explanatory go out kill creatures/stalkers take things then sell the things the only way i can even SLIGHTLY see confusion is if you pick a faction like bandit, military or monolith otherwise there is no real excuse vendors are marked on the PDA same with most things unless you went in looking for a storyline if thats the case id question if you even knew what anomaly was when you first started it, i went in knowing it was a sandbox mod based around the A life system i didn't need to play them to know that though the vid i watched that showed the game said it was in the first 2 mins im honesty confused how the old games helped with understanding anomaly at all unless you downloaded anomaly with literally 0 information but if you even watched 1 vid before playing you should of known about the faction system and everything i'll end with this if i started with the first game i would of dropped it in 10 mins and never touched the franchise again

Indeed, I've actually seen some people say that Stalker 2 is disappointing for (checks note) not looking or feeling like the original trio.

Installed it as instructed in the readme, yet something's off with how the mod is packed on my end. The game was CTDing immediately because it couldn't find the 4k ui files...because the 4k file was being kept OUTSIDE of UI. So I fix that easily enough, the game starts up to the main menu.
Now it CTD's on a new game due to "XML node not found". The only thing I added through JSGME is the English translation. The XML files cited are present in the gamefiles, but it cannot initiate for some odd reason. Most I've found is that this can generate from mod conflicts, but...there're no other mods. Just CoC 1.4.22 + English Translation + I.W.P patched to its latest release as per the instructions.
I'd go to a more official location for a bit of help here but...well, certified American moment: I only speak English. Any advice as to where to go to get this resolved? I hope it's something stupid simple.
Never mind, I discovered the problem. I followed the steps a bit too literally. I installed the latest patch, but I mistook the "mini-patch" as a standalone and neglected the prior full patch's DL link in the text document. Hopefully this comment helps anyone who made a similarly silly mistake.
Very interesting video dude, I've only played CoC because the other two, I've had friends who discouraged me to play them because they are less fun than the first... but I want to test Anomaly, which I have on my PC since at least one full year, but haven't touched it yet, and obviously I will give a try to those mods as well when I have time.

Recommendations what vanilla plus mod packs to use for the original 3. They have been in my backlog for a while now. I want more modern mechanics but not Tarkov level more like features in stalker 2 and anomaly.
What I would personally recommend for anyone trying to play the triology is;
- Starter Pack for Shadow of Chernobyl
- Atmosfear, Absolute Nature and SRP for Clear Sky.
- Atmosfear and Absolute Nature for Call of Pripyat.

I was introduced to stalker from watching OpDrewski play gamma. I then played through all the original games and loved them. They are obviously way different than Gamma in mechanics, but gameplay of doing missions to get money and explore the zone is the overall gameplay that both encompass.
I've never seen a single comment complaining that stalker 2 isn't going to be like gamma.
I've only ever seen comments or videos of people complaining about "people complaining about it not being like gamma"
I honestly don't think anyone actually expects stalker 2 to be like gamma. I've heard more purist complain that stalker 2 isn't going to be like the original stalker. Even though I've seen nothing from the trailers that shows any difference in the game beside graphics and story.

This mod implements the scope magnification in image the best so far without the stuttering. Desolation had Tarkov insanity gun modding to a new level but the scope things were causing major stuttering
Is Call of Chernobyl (COC) more focused on gunplay compared to Gamma? I feel like Stalker Gamma is more like a walking and repair simulator.

@@DoubleDoubleU Matter of fact, no, the PiP scopes are surprisingly optimized and I still had over 60 frames when using them, but if you find them heavy on your rig or just don't like them, you can turn them off.

Thank you for this video. Ive been struggling to get into Stalker. Im not very good at shooters but really wanted to experience stalker and a more easier experience of Anomaly and Gamma and i gotta say CoC and IWP is amazing! Its still challenging but not as challenging as Anomaly and Gamma. Ive finally had that stalker experience ive been wanting. Currently im a merc living in the dead city with my merc buddies. Its quite a cool feeling to do a quest then to return home and sit by your pals next to a fire. And the best part the guns are super cool and fancy. I played a bit of SoC and its fun but the dated graphics were a bit of a bummer so being able to have some cool guns and nice graphics is great

Hey man, this was a great video, I downloaded IWP today with the Call of the zone addon for it, & I noticed there was only Military in Cordon, do different npcs spawn in areas? I notice you were fighting monolith there & was curious how dynamic the npcs are

Depending on what addons you're using, some NPC spawns may change, I still ran into some occasional banits and military, but some quests like "Into the fray" and "Brothers in arms" will have you take on squads of a certain enemy faction.

How does IWP compare to Stalker Custom? I dont care about the politics around Custom, it is by far the most insane looking mod pack for Stalker that I have ever seen. Im not sure if theres a way to get the IWP overhaul with the Custom graphics, but i dont think there is.
I haven't played Anomaly Custom myself, but I heard mixed reviews about it (mostly from salty Anomaly haters), if graphics are what you're looking for, Anomaly Expedition is also a really neat-looking modpack.

First off, glad that the review got some people to try it, second, I think the star itself is a bug, because I never found that trader in any of the CoC-based mods (Anomaly, vanilla CoC, CoTZ etc)

I don’t know, Gamma kind of feels like you’re not the hero. You’re just a random Stalker surviving in The Zone. The best part about it? When I get tired of Gamma, I can download other mods and play a different style of Stalker. If they made a Brony Stalker modpack, I could choose to download that and play it.
That’s the beauty of PC modding. You can choose to play whatever mod is available or just play vanilla in all its broken glory.

I've played both modpacks and just after playing IWP for 20 minutes I cant tell you it's way better
I cant find is the "lower weapon button" (so that you carry the rifle holstered with both your arms) I liked that in gamma and anomaly.
It's not a feature in IWP, not that it was any useful in Anomaly.

Gsc could release another game in the old xray engine with old graphics and id be happy. Anomaly brought me in I’ll admit, but i never really liked it. I decided to buy the trilogy and i absolutely fell in love. I started with clear sky because i heard it was the first in sequential order and didn’t play anything else until id beaten call of pripyat. Not a real fan of the endless sandbox of anomaly or its mods but the stories and the zone itself i cant get enough of.

Weird, I never had a problem with enemies being too bullet spongy. For context I’ve played and beat all 3 stalker games on the hardest difficulty (for higher bullet damage) and I’ve also played anomaly. Larger mutants do take a lot more damage, but smaller mutants, zombies, and other stalkers are usually dead after one or two headshot or a few body shots and I’ve never seen a zombie take that much damage before dying in the original games. Is that only a problem with COC?
@@nokh3382 The myth behind master difficulty making you deal more damage is something I still can't 100% confirm nor deny, but since you didn't struggle with bullet sponges, that could be cause you were hitting headshots.
As for CoC, the base damage profiles are quite rough.
@@CptVityaz Possibly, however now that I think about it, it has been a couple years since I played the original games so I may just be remembering things incorrectly. If I happen to play again I’ll try to make a save on the hardest and easiest difficulties to confirm if the rumour’s true.
@@CptVityaz The damage values have been datamined. It's a myth that ended up being the opposite.
You do 20% more damage in SoC on novice, and the Strelok boss takes 50% less damage from you on master in CS. CoP has no damage modifier for difficulty.
SoC's Makarov, combined with random bullet deviation chance, is just such a bad starter weapon that it managed to warp player perception for all 3 games.
CS alone disproves the myth because weapon accuracy was nerfed across the board to compensate for the upgrade system, and difficulty changes nothing.
What master does is lower your damage resistance, shrink the loot chance, and increase enemy grenade throw range.
On a side note, if you ever see an enemy do a "flinch" animation when they're hit, stop shooting at them. For some reason during that animation they take zero damage, but will often die after one more hit or drop dead once the animation ends.
Sorry for the long comment, but this myth bugs me because people think mods are effected by this too despite being something that modders would immediately notice.

It should be obvious from all the comments in this video (and all other stalker videos) that every player has his own preference and they can rarely be explained in such a simple manner like "ppl just want tarkov with mutants and arties"; preferences are formed from all the previous games that clicked with that player in his/her gaming history and 2 players almost never played and liked 100% of the same games...

I may have not played every Stalker mod in existence, but I will recommend you something from what I've played, keep in mind that this is purely subjective and you may or may not like these picks:
Best shooting: IWP (Call of Chernobyl), LFO (Clear Sky)
Best nature and visuals: EFP (Anomaly modpack)
Gameplay: this is hard as it heavily depends on the player's definition of "good gameplay", but for me, I really enjoyed *Call of The Zone* and Old World Addon
Optimization: IWP by far
Overall, if you want something that's fun to play, looks good and runs well, I highly recommend Call of The Zone (for freeplay) or True Stalker (for story)

Why should we find a book first or crafting tools or upgrade parts if the mechanics are there? Even MISERY isn't that miserable.

Nah, this mod ain't for me. Because, back in the days as a kid I had all time in the world to play games, but these days as adult I want to just jump in, enjoy the game for the rest of my free time and have fun. So playing the mod that makes gameplay difficult, where enemies kills you too fast and you have to run away and hide to survive, is not my thing. And in general, that is not what Stalker is about. Yes, it has RPG mechanics but in general, it's a basic first person shooter. It doesn't aim to be realistic, it aims to be fun for everyone and that is why I loved Stalker in the first place, and later I loved it for the atmosphere and everything else. So yeah, I hate when mod makes games like Stalker too much realistic because, that is not why I play video games in the first place. Because video games for me personally is escapeism. It allows me to escape from the real world and have fun. So why would I bring real world in to the game if I'm trying to escape from the real world? Yes, there is simulators that are too realistic, but Stalker is not a simulator. And thus should remain fun in the first place, and not "one shot, one kill" game. Loosing the game in the first 5, or so, minutes is not fun. Thus why I hate mods like these, that makes the game too realistic just because kids these days didn't sniff enough of real world outside.

People who complain about their poor little expectations not being met can go eat a plutonium rod. Some of those devs are out fighting a real war. Learn to manage your expectations. You are living in the most technically developed countries and can play literally tens of thousands of games. Products should deliver on their promises but the customer is not always right. It's only my opinion in a subject i know a little bit about. Been a gamer 30+ years, been a developer for 10+ years. I despise how entitled gamers and gaming journalism can become sometimes.
Being a fan of a franchise is cool.

For circa 2 decades the Video games industry has been bigger than both the music and movie industry. All those games, and all those mods on top of that. We should rejoice, we really should!
We have more freedom to choose our adventures than anytime in history before and all i can think of now is the famous words of Maximus Decimus Meridius:

"dont be the person were this is the first stalker you play" my guy if it wasn't for me playing anomaly i wouldn't of played stalker at all let alone go back and play the old janky ones like i did after, can we stop with the elitism? and can we stop pretending the story is why anyone plays stalker? the real star of the show is the A life/faction system not the generic storylines
@imalittletoxicjustalittle My point is, you won't play the mod without trying the base games, not for the story lines, but to understand the mechanics, I also started with Anomaly and my first experience with it was a shitshow, couldn't figure out what to do for a month before deciding to embark on the trilogy.
@@CptVityaz i had 0 problems at all and played it for over a month just fine before going backwards, it was very self explanatory go out kill creatures/stalkers take things then sell the things the only way i can even SLIGHTLY see confusion is if you pick a faction like bandit, military or monolith otherwise there is no real excuse vendors are marked on the PDA same with most things
unless you went in looking for a storyline if thats the case id question if you even knew what anomaly was when you first started it, i went in knowing it was a sandbox mod based around the A life system i didn't need to play them to know that though the vid i watched that showed the game said it was in the first 2 mins
im honesty confused how the old games helped with understanding anomaly at all unless you downloaded anomaly with literally 0 information but if you even watched 1 vid before playing you should of known about the faction system and everything
i'll end with this if i started with the first game i would of dropped it in 10 mins and never touched the franchise again
