tip for whirlgig, you can actually avoid damage if you're caught in it by a good timed jump. Its like a split second before the game ticks ur hp and if you jump right before that tick you avoid all damage.
Idk if they've patched this, but in my spark run, I cheesed being able to get into malachite for ease of access to the north, or for repairs while theyre hostile, by taking a guide there, who puts you inside the locked building, then taking the underground exit out to leave and running through the electric anomaly field, which actually got me a couple thunderberries to boot, but if theyre hostile everything does cost more, so its a bit of a tactical decision And talking about the teleport anomalies, theres one you can jump into from an apartment rooftop in pripyat, DO NOT jump, its marked with a skull and crossbones sign, you WILL fall to your death, i learned that the hard way My personal favourite tip, MAKE STALKER CACHES, you have up to 10 unique map markers you can place, USE THEM, find safe spots with bags or safes in locations you often frequent along your journeys, and have places for all your hoarded loot when you're too heavy, or when you need a quick reup, youll 100% want one in the duga, i like the stash room with the fire spout anomaly on the south east corner, south west of the ward base from the story mission in the helicopter yard, youll want one in the shack south of the anomaly zone as a step of point to go in or out of the swamps, places you know youll need a (mildly) safe haven to organize and plan your next move in areas where towns with stores are few and far between
12:08 - i believe theres a stalker faction trader and guide just East of chem plant compound that you can use even when ward is hostile. One issue is you can often aggro the ward guards which may lock the door to the little stalker building (extra hilarious when youre inside and unable to fight).
@@mrh3h Sorry friend, such is the capricious nature of the zone. I wasnt outright hostile with ward when I first arrived but certainly am now and can still enter the building to trade/travel.
drink water not energy drinks Weird Water is probably one of the best artifacts you can slot any other artifact along side this without needing a lead container and the carry weight is just a big bonus
One downside though. For some reason, all the gear you have equipped, even crouch walking through them, every piece takes durability damage. Really stupid IMO
it's not crouching, the damage is determined by the speed you interact with it, walking or crouching both achieve the slow speed to not get the bleeding effect
@clausroquefort9545 sry, mb, gas anomaly has intervals mostly, but with artifacts I find it one of the easiest anomaly to navigate in, I fking hate popping flashing bangs
@@jimday666that’s my standard for anomaly hot zones. Leave on skiff’s pistol for emergencies, take off everything else. I frequently do artifact hunts drunk on weird water because switching armors removes your equipped artifacts, and I’m just equipping the water to solve my carry issue as fast as possible.
Fly catcher is a "time machine" anomaly. Inside this anomaly time goes slower or faster. So are bullets. But usually there are those stopping time. If you drop items in this anomaly they will fall very slow.
2:12 The fact that you can zoom through the whole zone as soon as you leave the "Lesser Zone" area is nuts. Unfortunately you cant go to Pripyat without glitches. Anyways back to the topic, you can be so OP with very little coupons in this game very early.
its easy to get to prypiat early...its not really "glitches"..you just jump over..and i jump over all sorts of spots with and without crates...there's tons of spots and its not getting patched out...there would be no point its enough of a deterant for 95% of everyone...but there's lots of ways over so anyone wanting to get to prypiat bad enough can make it.
So I see lots of people saying you can crouch to prevent the glass cloud from doing damage but I played with it and you don't have to crouch. Just move slowly through the anomaly standing or crouching and it won't harm you
I find the game can be as hard or easy as you want it to be. If you do the side missions and go out of your way to explore everything before moving on the next area in the main quest, you get quite an arsenal especially scopes and red dots along with blueprints which in turn directly just makes everything so much easier. It is kind of a cycle of positive reinforcement, the more powerful you are by scavenging the more likely to are to go scavenging. The only issue is time b/c you walking a lot back and fourth to sell your loot.
Eh, just make sure you're ready for sircaa. You're going to be in there for a while, and there is nowhere to make ammo purchases, and repair weapons and armor.
Malachite has arguably the best non-exo armor available for free after a little parkour (outside). This is my first stop before getting other better gear or glitching into Prypyat. Going inside early is only worth it if you want the guide.
You can avoid getting flashbanged by throwing a bolt 5:10 . The bolt will trigger it, so don't throw too close to were you are... if you are quick you can pick up an item and then throw an other bolt to avoid getting hit at all.

If you can get the weird water artifact before going down there it would help a lot with weight. But thunderberry is top tier to have for anywhere especially down there
5:25 Naahhh. It's best avoided by walking or preferably running in a zigzag motion, because everytime it starts to spawn, you just change direction and avoid it. You can run thru a whole field of 'em like this no problemo.
Any tips on mods/settings to use with a 4080 to get it to run any amount of Smoothly? I love the game... but if I'm in a firefight and it starts chunking FPS ... I die.
get some FPS optimizers from nexus and also use tools such as laso tool to disable core0 for stalker 2, this will help smooth out the game but it depends how bad your CPU is. GPU is certainly not the problem. You may also be choking on RAM. This game really does require 32GB of ram, at least 10GB VRAM for the highest settings.
What’s your CPU and what graphic settings are you running? I run a Ryzen 7 3700x with a 2070super with mostly high (some medium) graphics and consistently get 60 outside of the assault on Duga.
Guys why when I fight humans, why are they super accurate, knowing where I am even if I get out of site, and absorbing bullets I can’t . This my first stalker play through 💀
Don't get caught out in the open, if you do just run, go get some hard cover, thin metal or thin trees wont cut it, put some rocks, walls, or hills between you, peak corners, aim for headshots, and you'll be alright
Why the technician hickhack? Simply grab 10 energy drinks and 3 antirad at slackheap and do a quick 5 minute forest gump through rostok and run up to yaniv. At Running/bunnyhopping pace enemies should be no problem, just dont get caught in an anomaly. Bam you are in loot heaven, can quickly travel back to rostok/slagheap with garry and have access to the best mid-late game tech. Nice tips tho.
First game ever that I’ve played that can’t run on my 980ti with decent fps. Seems very badly optimised. For anyone that can’t run it, check out the older games and mod packs. Some of the graphical upgrades are incredible. I’m doing stalker: soc with autumn aurora. Looks lovely
Yes…But. Lets say to fully upgrade Diamond, you’ll need 300k and Kharod is around 180-200k. Its half a million just to upgrade not to mention to keep up with maintenance costs. If you not running any cash glitches or playing on XBox that is.
for me the early game techs can upgrade my gear cause as soon as i get into garbage, i go get the ram2, kharod from the bunker under the overhanging bus on the left of the map then i head to yaniv station then prypiat..i do all that within 7 or 8 hrs of the game starting...i ain't gonna wait till the main quests are 90% done to get to the top tier techs...thats not how i play the game...i never plan on going 50% past the main quests..i like to neutral with most of the settlements and having the best gear all maxed out asap..so if someone is waiting till they almost finish the main questline too get the best stuff...thats on them...thats not fun...it can all be done "early game"...and fairly easily...you can just run to yaniv station from rostock in 10 minutes..all you need is med packs a decent shotgun and water and energy drinks just in case..and a light suit so you can run fast..i use the ecologist suit...i get that early also right after going to the detention center.
