Holy water IS complicated, but it also sounds very natural to me. It's my favorite SG song. Great album, great reaction !

As you hear and read in so many interviews, most musicians from the Seattle/grunge scene have agreed that SG was leagues ahead of *everyone else* in that scene in terms of songwriting, their range of musical styles, complexity ... and then there was the *Chris* factor ...♥️♥️♥️
In '91-'92, had some friends as roommates, and we loved to, um, enhance the mood a bit and then play the 4 songs from 7 to ten. It's a lucky stroke that you ended up playing some leftover "Mind Riot" leading into "Drawing Flies", because the slow, heavy, melodic Riot is the perfect lead-in to make the fury of Flies sound even better. Next time, you'll get to let one flow right into the other and see what we were into 30 years ago. Damn, I'm getting old.
If you haven't seen it yet, the Audioslave premier in NYC outside, on top of the Ed Sullivan theater is insanely good.

@@LydellC I don't think Rory has done any songs from King Animal yet, right? I think my favorites from the album (off the top of my head) are Blood on the Valley Floor, Rowing, A Thousand Days Before, Halfway There, and Black Saturday. Good stuff! Damn, Rory has a ridiculous amount of Cornell to hear, kind of jealous.. I wish I could hear it all again for the first time
@@OhSnakes He did Rowing (at my request), album track... and it kind of freaked him out at first. He said he thought it sounded like Audioslave (and then the guitar solo came in...) That one's my fave. But Taree and Bones of Birds are amazing. An underrated album. Happy he agreed to do BMF. Next up I'd say should be Superunknown. (Screw chron order - need to digest those 2 first.) Rory's SG joy is contagious... although he can be fickle and temporarily falls for the other bands as he listens to them 😄😄😄
