I really love how each of the Harris Dumbledores in the revival has a different outfit, each from the first two films. Gambon Dum bledore is neat but he only changes his robe for the ball and not really anywhere else. Harris Dumbledore changes his outfit every single scene and I presume the character does so a minimum three times a day. It's just so true to the character and I love it. What I'd like to see is skirt-piece versions of the legs Harris Dumbledore designs to complete the set, and fill in any final missing ones like his Privet Drive outfit.
To be honest, the second CMF Dumbledore is my favorite. I love the dark red and gold collet scheme and I think the dual molded hat/hair is amazing. I also like the fact that he came with a minifigure scale phoenix!
I love these styles of videos. Very interested in the "evolution" of a Lego series. The switch from 2001 to 2004 is so satisfying, and my favorite Dumbledore has to be Albus Dumbledore CMF series 2020. That 9:00 focus is 👨🍳😙🤌Amazing vid, thanks for two vids in a day
Growing up with the first waves of Harry Potter (and the 2010-12 sets), I feel so nostalgic over the old minifigure designed. I miss the capes so much too, I still think it adds a lot to a minifig’s silhouette
Great video as always! I’m loving the Weasley army in the background at 9:08 😂 Personally, I’d love to see a video of all the Death Eater minifigures produced, not just the masked ones but Bellatrix, Fenrir, etc.
7:41 my was actually good 😊 I love these new Dumbledore variants. Have to pay more attention rewatching first two films next time to catch them all on screen
I love that the old HP sets had such weird minifigures. The face prints were so great and evocative. And it's fun to see Dumbledore's purple robes when he very clearly doesn't have purple robes in the movies, yet it fits his character so well. So I'm also very happy to see the call-back purple robes in the modern sets.
I only have the second CMF Dumbledore, as I didn't start collecting lego as an adult until 2019, so I'm very attached to that one. I also love seeing how figures progress over time, it's very neat.
It’s interesting to see how much certain minifigures have changed over the years. I own exactly 0 Harry Potter sets but I am on a mission to collect all 46 Ninjago Zane variants. I currently only have 6 left now.
@@CheeseyStudios At least none of them are that expensive. The most expensive versions are only like $25. Jay on the other hand has one version that goes for over $50 & don’t even get me started on Spider Man.
I think I have at least one, if not two of every post-reboot era Dumbledore lol (except for the golden one). I don't really care for Harry Potter as an IP, but I find the unique prints and parts useful for other things. For Dumbledore specifically, his lavishly printed colorful robes actually make very good stand ins for Ottoman-style robes which I use with my Pirates-adjacent stuff. I also use his robes for Space/Star Wars-esque things as they make good all around "exotic" wear for fantastical scifi people. It's a great application of LEGO's simplification and abstraction of the costume details into bold, easy to read prints I find.
I honestly don’t understand why your Minecraft videos get so many views compared to the rest of your videos, It’s Not that I think your Minecraft videos are bad it’s that I think all of your videos are amazing qualities and I seriously wish more people would watch all of your videos just because all of them are good
I really appreciate it ❤️ I know I am "The Minecraft Guy" but I'd like to be more than that too! Hopefully I can slowly, slowly get those Minecraft viewers introduced to some more LEGO stuff too :)
@@CheeseyStudiosI found your channel from the Minecraft originally, but holy crap everything else is just as good! I even watch the bricklink order videos and I’m about to rewatch the Knight’s Kingdom series! Love your videos, the effort really shows!!
I can proudly say I own every LEGO Dumbledore and the sets they came in. I always love seeing more LEGO Harry Potter on this channel. For the future LEGO Dumbledore minifigures I would like to see one using the Saruman the White hair/beard. I feel like it would be super accurate to the Richard Harris Dumbledore.
That would be cool to see! I'm glad the HP stuff is still appreciated. Before Minecraft, it was always my intention to make Harry Potter the cornerstone of this channel's content. Though things have clearly changed, I'll always return to it in some form. The theme's been so important to my LEGO journey!
I've got all the Dumbledore figures from 2018 onwards except for the nano figure. I hope they make more variants of Gambon's Dumbledore, like his purple robes for his duel with Voldemort in OotP & a cursed hand for HBP.
My wrath with licensed themes would be quelled somewhat of LEGO still used the yellow figures, I’m fine with the brown ones but the “light nougat” figures clash with the yellow ones so bad and they look like they’re undead or something to me.
Lego has massively over represented the Harris Dumbledore in recent years. I think we’re overdue for a Gambon figure, especially in his blue robes. Sure it’s easy for us to go online and grab the 2018 CMF but that’s not really possible for most kids and there hasn’t been a blue robes figure of him on the market for many years now.
I think that was what surprised me most about putting this video together too - there really are not many Gambon variants, especially since the reboot! Hopefully next year's lineup gives us one.
@@V-grandraccoon I have no qualms with that. In my opinion Harris was the superior Dumbledore and the one I saw as the definitive actor. I’d mentally replace Gambon with Harris when rewatching the movies. But nonetheless RIP to both Harris and Gambon
