I have been hearing this inner sound since I met Paramahansa Hariharananda a Kriya Yoga máster about 20 years ago I talked about that to my doctor and he said that I had Tinnitus and even ordered me manny medical tests that did not reported any thing Always when I hear swami sarvapriyananda this sound becomes louder and clearer !

@@summerbreeze5115 this has nothing to do with religion. Hinduism is science in its purest form. I hear it too and can zone in and out of listening to it at will. Tinnitus is a completely different phenomena where listening whatever sound it is not our choice.

What does it sound like?
Sara L white noise sometimes whooshing is also there. Some say kundalini some say tinnitus. But i dont think its auditory problem as i started hearing this upon awakening and i dont have hearing problem

Jai guru swamiji🙏 you are absolutely right whatever you have said. Even I know a person who hears this sound, and who has experienced spiritual experiences, who is exactly child like character. No doubt about those people who are happy by themselves, doesn't need any friend and by seeing them feel like they have found something eternal. And in my opinion they are the satisfied souls. I have this experience. The endless sound which is audible by yourself. It is audible whether you are working or doing rest or doing meditation. If you gave attention then other sound of surrounding became lower and lower.

Yog upanisads clearly mention 10types of Naad.
Yog Sadhaks hear them during different stages of kundalini awakening.
In the 4th chakra(Anahata),it starts.Then as the sadhak evolves, the nature of Naad also evolves.
Finally in Agna chakra,Shabd Brahm Atikraman hota(Gita) with the pranab(OM) naad.
Which happens to yogis only .

In Tinnitus the sounds are different & different types as examples are buzzing, hissing, roaring etc. But Anahata sound is always same not similar in all age groups ,in male and females,in all state of body &mind.
Tinnutus sounds are disturbing and seems like not persistent forever, but this Anhad Naad sound is not painful.
I hear the unstruck. It opens the gates for helping others heal.

Wonderful 4 year old talk! I am hesitant to respond as I only occasionally have access to a Swami or such. I also hear Anahata or the unstruck background noise most, but not all the time. If I am understanding correctly, it is the OM or AUM. I was told to try to listen to where that sound comes from. I was told that Brahmans 1st part of creation was space which created an expanding AUM vibration, but more complicated than that.
I have not found the source yet, but have realized that I am not this temporary physical body, nor a thought (when the thought stops, my AWARENESS does not stop), nor am I the chatty egoic mind or memory. I am the AWARENESS of all of those. I am existence, awareness and bliss. But again, I am not in that state all of the time.
Have you ever observed something for the 1st time? So nothing to judge it by or compare it with. Just pure observation and wonder. One is picking up a lot of information. The 2nd time one see's it, the memory pop's up generally and says I recognize that, and since the memory is of the past reacting to the now, and can project into the future. One is observing much less so seeing directly much less because attention is going into the memory and lower mind. Memory and lower mind has it's needed purposes and uses, but for many it runs the show most of the time. Until one's unconscious becomes conscious, it will be directing your life and karma.
Do you know why many who meditate observe their breathing or thoughts? One's breathing is in the now and energizes OBSERVATION rather than thought and memory. It also tends to slow one's breathing down as does slow deep breathing which has the effect of slowing and calming the mind and thoughts. One's breathing also connects our true eternal self to this temporary physical body.
If I am using wrong verbiage or incorrect, I am not from Swamiji's lineage nor advanced, but recognize his wisdom and insight. His insight is like a clear pond which is calm, peaceful and can see from top to bottom beyond duality, and see's where the wave starts and their effects. My Spiritual teacher said to me - "To realize who you truly are is the exact reverse process of creation."

The Anahata Naad is OM emanating from the solar plexus! It dissolves in the Sahasrara ! Then one experiences Samadhi! This is just a process!
It happens only with Sri Ramakrishna’s approval! Then the breath also stills and then one experiences the Madhya dasa!
Without this the mind will never stills!

That sound is a type of Nimitta which appears when one reaches a certain level of concentration.
Most pundits know about light nimittas which many Buddhist practice. But nimittas can be at any sence doors. Many people experience body-sensation nimittas but don't know about it. There are people who have taste and smell nimittas. And yes - there is a sound nimitta.

Nada bindu Upnishads points out towards this sound of silence also sant kabir, guru nanak , sant ravidas also pointed out towards this sound of silence

Goodmorning my friends... I’m come here because I find myself rather conflicted... I practice Vedanta and I meditate upon Brahman and divine mother but only a few times a week, the days I do I feel auspicious throughout my day and in full awareness of the conscious mind and body, I know that Brahman alone is real and all else is illusory but yet, some days I feel as if I don’t want to meditate but want to still feel that awareness. If I don’t dive into the ocean of Bhakti completely will I still be in contact with that awareness, how do I live a worldly life and still practice the divine practices for contact with Brahman or divine mother...
Read about and glorify Krishna on a daily basis ✌️

Both of them are right. Because there are two things, Adhyatmik Bodh and Adhyatmik Gyan. One may have Bodh (i.e. experience) but have no knowledge about it and vice-versa. This is what swamiji is trying to say here. 🙂

I only hear this anahat sound mainly in silence or by using ear plugs..it is always there but it is difficult for me to hear it without external world silence.....I think this sound points to brahamn /God /Krishna

Why does the body vibrates at high frequency when someone focuses on this anhata naad?
In medical terminology , it is called tinnitus.
Doctors attribute certain reason .
I feel that the sound has some resemblance to old tube light.
So I think that the sound may be due to malfunctioning of electronic circuit in the brain.
As Swamiji said that it may not be proof of Advaita Awreness.
do not confuse these 2 things, they are completely different.
tinnitus is a medical condition, related to ear damage or hearing loss.
anahata nada is attunement to universal consciousness, it is a great blessing - it is not an indication of enlightenment, but it is a signpost along the way.
The light hiss? One day I stabbed my finger on a thorn, maybe it touched a nerve, it was just like that but 20x louder, I figure this is the plant’s talk too. First noticed it I thought it was the sun changing houses in the day, woke me from sleep.

Swamiji as per my experience Anahad naad is Timeless changeless non dual and their can't be two non dual things, it's only one. So as per the experience if anahad naad, that is the only thing which is non dual. And the witness which many people keep on saying, that it is brahman how can it be brahmam because the witness is done by Brain's Alertness/Dhyan.
I once heard the sound when i am just thinking about only god and taking only rice with water and a bit salt and lemon. For 1week.
I heard that"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa" with a vibrating voice where body got continues vibration along with that sound. It doesnt stopped..... And at that particular time I diverted my eyes between the eyebrows and i saw a ring of fire gradually disappeared. I didnt find explanation for this experience yet. Any enlightened persons may help me for this. 🙏

In tinnitus the sound that comes will be just annoying ...but sound of silence is different ...it will have a cleansing and blissful effect on the mind and will just absorb the mind easily ( by absorbing I mean that you will be easily be able to sit for many minutes listening it even if you have no experience in sitting for long time )

Anhad dhwani/ Brahman is Sound of Silence. It is Consciousness/ Self. Jo ek 5 saal ke bache ko bhi sunai deti hai..aur ek 50 saal ke adult ko bhi. It is not any advanced state of spirituality jiske liye koi shram karna pade. Uski understanding ke liye shram ki zaroorat hai but experience 1 sec me hota hai. Apne kaano ko zara band kijiye apni fingers ya earplugs se. Ek aawaz nirantar chal rahi hai. Wo sun lijiye. Bas wahi hai. Truth is Simple and Direct.
Sound of silence har jagah h but hum aware nahi hote . It is beyond time , space. It is god. It is braman.

In samadhi it's more clear
Anything that can be witnessed or experienced is not you. Brahman is you. All the sounds even the divine vibrations are experiences and not you. The goal is not about hearing divine sounds or seeing divine light. One may get some of siddhis or divine special powers from simply reading people's mind to miraculous ones but that is also not the goal. Getting stuck in siddhis will keep you tied down. Our goal is realising That thou art. Brahman is you. While witnessing upto the causal body one may experience a lot of vibrations and energy dances, lights all very natural. Since these divine experiences are customised for different jeevatmas so the experiences are varied as the minds are conditioned & filtered with different waves of energy. Nature of mind and quality of a person all these are diverse and so are the divine experiences. Getting stuck in experiences is not the goal and always looking for such experiences is not the goal. Brahman is an eternal, desireless and actionless state. Neither the doer of action nor the receiver or enjoyer of fruits of action. Causal body is the cause for the appearance of individuality. There is no separate existence but separate appearances so the background divine sound is always switched on mode as the Brahman is appearing to be manifested as these millions of universe and its worlds. One appearing as many. The game of life is all about knowing yourself to be that One. Then manifesting divine attributes of One - Saguna Brahman in the little self - jeevatma and then finally becoming enlightened - the Jeevanmukt. This is what Swami Vivekananda has taught me through out my spiritual journey and also through online youtube sessions of Swami Sarvapriyananda ji mostly through BhagvadGita classes. If anyone actually needs guidance in this vedantic enquiry I can tell I have got continuous help from Swami Vivekananda in my last 3-4 years of journey. Anyone can ask him with faith/shraddha just like Nachiketa asked Yama in the upanishad and Swami ji will be there for the entire journey till the karma floats down this body. Jai Swami ji 🙏
