I miss when Rappers used to sample . I didn't know this was a Jackson 5 sample till I got older . R.I.P. Michael Jackson . I miss the dayz when Hip Hop had a message and actually spoke about something . Only place you'll get the real now is underground
Much love and real playa respect for big mackin ass rappin 4'tay and tha whole game he brings on to this world, maybe most of us don't ndeserve to hear your game
Love this Joint this is back when Hip Hop still had a life line before all the Bullshit soulja Boy Lil Wayne garbage and I love the Jacksin 5 sample that gives the track even more life
This is one of the hottest songs ever I Lovw the reallness and the shit that Rappin 4 Tay is talkin bout I never Understood it too Much when it came out cause I was like 15 when both this and Dangerous Minds came out the Movie and soundtrack which is what this Joint is from but now I kinda Understand what he's talkin bout almost sounds like he tryn'a Emulate Pac cause he bein real wit it Pac damm sure would be proud
4 tay doesnt get his props, so many classics, this song, do your thang off that wcbb1 comp, that ups and down banger off wcbb2 comp, devil on the left off 50/50 chance comp, I'll be round radio version with the spinners, that Revelations track off eightball album, problems off Dangerous minds, never talk down on a playa with too short , playas club, only God can judge me with 2pac , dont fight the feeling with too short, playas holiday with twdy, she a sellout, still F---kin with my folks, what wrong with the game with 40, etc. So underrated , it sad he had his demons and last I heard he relapsed, because in my book he should of had some gold and plays under his belt, I dont know what went on over at rag top or the distributor because some of his albums was terribly promoted.
@DAFUNK213 NP man, glad you liked it figured you would. Thats a shame though I can relate but luckily I still have a bunch of mine, I just know my mom threw a bunch of them out when she cleaned the basement.
@DAFUNK213 Still got some of my tapes and they are great. You should feel this song Level Headed - Fat Tape (Ft.Train Of Thought) its on youtube search it, it wont let me link to it
Yeah it's not so much that 4-tay sounds like Tupac, it's that Tupac sounds like a Bay Area rapper. Because that's what he was. The Bay Area is where Tupac partly grew up and it's where he started rapping, and where he was living when he released his first couple albums. But Tupac and 4 tay don't sound exactly like anyways...just kinda similar. It's that Bay style. But at the same time 4 tay probably was influenced by tupac (lol pretty much everyone was at the time, i guess), just like tupac was probably influenced by 4 tay...they came up at the same time in the same place, and featured each other on a couple tracks.
see what the hell happened to Rappers being real like this now thee guys ain't talkin bout shit this at least is what the song title is A Message For Your Mind caise it makes you think unlike the Birdwalk
It wasn't exclusive. It was/is a public high school - the U.S. version of a secondary school. If you manage to look at the schools history, you'll find that out. Just because it caters for kids who want to study the arts - it doesn't make it exclusive. I've done research before I answered. It seems you didn't.
please quit comparin him to pac! pac went to a private school while 4 lived the life! probably why his rhymes stayed positive. cause he knew that the streets is a shit life!!

Here’s a message for ya mind . I want you back !
yes he did
do some research
Sounds just like Tupac. Clearly influenced by Tupac.
Listen to playas dedication
lifestraight 4 tay was rappin with too short around the same time tupac came around, so I think it's a bay area sound more than a tupac sound
Eeeeehhh, he's older than 2pac man
Yeah it's not so much that 4-tay sounds like Tupac, it's that Tupac sounds like a Bay Area rapper. Because that's what he was. He and Tupac were friends. He is featured on All eyes on me
