Babe, wake up! New nightmare dystopia features just dropped!
you dont know what dystopia means - hint, it's not regarding a product which you dont have to use. If you have to use it at work, well, you didnt have any privacy there to being with.
Actually it is the same like recents menu on android/iphone right? the difrence only you can just search the context using Ai

4:23 "Do you want to save your work?" I think that Paint is using the word 'your' quite loosely.
The user is the one prompting the AI what to do, and that’s just the normal Paint “save your work” dialog, so it makes sense.
Just move to Linux.
@@techwithtyler20not ur work, learn a tangible skill
Every time I see someone crying about MS "spying" they're an iPhone or Android user who have no problems with Apple and Google recording every word they say, face scanning every photo they take, and scanning every document on their phone to upload to iCloud and GoogleDrive. Hypocritical virtue signalers pretending to care about privacy, when in reality they're just fanboys hating on their chosen enemy corporation while taking it up the *** from their favored corporation. 1984 already happened 10 years ago on iOS and android. Apple and Android users have already been arrested for photos they took getting misidentified as CP by their AIs. Out of every "person" I've talked to that's flipping out about this ALL of them have been iOS and Android users, zero exceptions. Clown world.
3:56 - 4:23 the 'I drew that' part is funny as hell lmao, I can't even tell if its satirical either.
I mean, it was rather obvious that it was - its what a kid would say for such a drawing.

Stop using Windows and start using Linux. Linux golden age is coming. WinBlows is finished.
@@joshuahernandez-th6ovuhh windows is in no way finished, over 90%of consumers still use windows on non Mac hardware, moving to Linux is simply not viable for businesses since they have to run ancient software that probably relies on some old ass apis that wine dosen't support. Plus, businesses can't retrain 100s of staff to use their computer (literally why windows 8 flopped) although I can see Linux being more widely adopted it won't be near the level of dominance that windows has on the pc market
@@joshuahernandez-th6ov I did, and went back to Windows after a few days. For regular users like me, Linux is still not as user-friendly as Windows and MacOS. I've also run into some drivers and stability issues. There are a LOOOOOT of small quality of life stuff that isn't as polished as Windows or MacOS, making the experience overall not as pleasant.
@@joshuahernandez-th6ov People have been saying that for decades and it's still not happened lol
RECALL is a feature that should NEVER have been proposed, let alone given the green-light. It is SPYWARE of the absolute most egregious form that will capture medical information, SIN numbers, banking information, and all manner of other PII. RIGHT NOW, Microsoft is saying this can be turned on or off, paused, fully controlled by the user, but even that is not true. This is controlled by group policy, so this means that a corporate PC can have this feature enabled and there is nothing the user of the machine can do. How long until new Windows features require this service to be running in the background? How long until some of that data is shared with advertisers by Microsoft? No one should EVER even contemplate using this feature.
2024 and Microsoft still hasn't figured out that all most people really want and need is a simple operating system that's snappy, works well, looks good, has no bloat, and having control over what features they want to use.
This is why everyone is moving to Linux because linux golden age is coming.
And a file explorer search that actually does what it’s supposed to do
@@joshuahernandez-th6ov too late we all already moved to mac

Thanks for the details. I hate it.
This is why everyone is moving to Linux.
There could actually be legal implications for the company for how egregious this is.
Hello yes I do not want any of this AI junk I want better battery life and performance. I do not want AI spyware reducing my battery life. I already know how to find my files and how to turn on night light.

@@joshuahernandez-th6ov Linux is crap and that's the problem. We need a MacOS like competitor without the apple tax and hardware upgradeability.
I am honestly shocked that not that many paople seem bothered by the fact that Microsoft is looking at your screen all the time and taking screenshots. Creepy AF.
not at all how it works.
What possible justification could there be for such unwanted features? Of course the miscellany of government agencies want it. I guess that's just where we are now. Thanks Patriot Act.
Likely because they say it all happens on-device with the new hardware, and it’s just stored as a random set of numbers and URLs in a vector database. The current way of doing it is actually worse (auto-uploading screenshots to OneDrive, for instance).
I'm still amazed that people don't know that Microsoft CREATED what is visible on your screen. 😂 So screenshotting it and storing it on the same device doesn't sound as groundbreaking to me - if all of that happens and stays on the device.
bro it stays on device and nothing is sent anywhere outside the device.
and if you do not trust MS with this then stop using Windows, for all you know they have been doing it since decades from Windows XP.
Like if they wanted to look at your screen, why would they release a feature for it just for so many people to remove it and be anxious about it, they would just start doing it anyways in the background.
This is the perfect Linux-advertisement. Thanks Microsoft 😊❤

what i'm curious is whether Recall can track the movement of files. You aren't getting recall in existing PC, that's only for new snapdragon computer and even then, it's optional. I've used Linux before, it's BAD. The drivers support is the worst I've seen. On older AMD based laptop, the wireless card just simply don't work on Ubuntu no matter what I do. On Windows, it just work. Also, what's the different between recall and your browser literally keeping all your history and cookies? At least, recall stores locally on your computer encrypted. If Microsoft wanted to spy on you, they would've just include stealthy spyware automatically, they didn't need to announce all this stuff.
Can't wait for Linux on Snapdragon Xs.
I don't think that's gonna happen any time soon. Thanks to Microsoft and Qualcomm working so tightly together.
You do realise every Android phone is practically running a Linux kernel- almost every device is powered by A Qualcomm processor
Linux 6.10 and 6.11 kernels should have lots of Snapdragon X patches

No antireflection coating on it apparently.

So if you turn recall off does it immediately give you storage back or is it a partition and a reboot is necessary every time you flip that switch because.. partitions? Met my cousin after a decade perhaps and conversational flow led for me to refer to those posts...another example, I was looking to buy something that I noticed was cheaper elsewhere, couldn't remember even going through my browser history... I have to click through each 'potential' url and failed because we tend to have more of a picture memory. It's just like me raising a question on copilot at first...I copiloted my query and got enough food for thought to get started when I was feeling a mental block. Of course I can still do the search myself and consolidate the snippets (with source info) on a document... Or have copilot do it for me within 5 minutes. Anyway, to my point, remember when Nvidia claimed that ray tracing would be available only for RTX card when devs cracked the code and made it run on GTX cards as well. Stop using Windows and start using Linux. Linux golden age is coming.
@@techwithtyler20just move to Linux.
You're right, ray-tracing or AI models don't require specialized hardware, but they run way more efficient on said hardware. You can let your GTX path trace, the RTX is just hundreds of times better at it because it has hardware specifically designed for the type of arithmetic used for this. Same with AI, you can let a model run on a general cpu and wait a few minutes for an answer or you can get it much faster by using hardware that is specifically built this kind of workload. It's not that it doesn't work, it's just doesn't deliver the intended experience (eg. waiting minutes for the AI model to return an output using so much of the general CPU performance that the user experience is impacted).
If it were only up to software, why use a GPU at all then? Let the CPU do everything! The GPU is also just specialized hardware that is way better at drawing things (or rather the math required to draw things) than the CPU.
Let me guess, it's a Web App, isn't it? ...

Need a new fancy "AI computer" to run this software? Doubtful. All you need is a GPU. Which does it faster anyway.
Don’t use Winblows 11 and start using Linux.
Where did you go to try this?
Just move to Linux.
Recall was made for developer just to make them remember they coded it instead of thinking who did this. Thanks Microsoft. 😅

No. WSA was discontinued and will be removed in 2025.

holy fucking shit I'm glad this new windows can only work on different kind of architecture than desktop pc. Otherwise really need to seriously consider switching to mac
Move to Linux.
I can understand this Windows-affiliated channel marketing everything Windows, including AI, but most YT creators seem to be masters of hyperbole, whereas no one I know cares much about this. Maybe MS has a killer AI feature coming, but I haven't seen it yet.
As for "Recall", that looks on shaky foundations. In the UK, it is already being looked at by the ICO (Data Commission) as they feel this will be a privacy risk for people who do not understand how it can be abused. So, I suspect the EU will soon jump in. I am not totally against it, but it needs a safety net for the non-techies that could be at risk of data mining (elderly people who may not have passwords or have scammers ringing them up and piggybacking on their system).
AI on the X-Elite may have 40 billion TOPS, but I'd like to know if we can get excited about that bragging for a few years. It is the latest buzz to sell consumers stuff, and Samsung's success with the S24 suggests that people are falling for the hype.
It's fine. everything is done locally.
I think it's a good thing EU will look into this so if there is indeed nefarious things happening, they Microsoft will have to comply on what to do by the government. If nothing, then FUD people have to shut up. Or maybe they won't and just accuse the government they have been paid by Microsoft because apparently every government is that corrupt anyways.

Glad that they have included an exclusion list as someone who uses Virtual machines I don't temporary vms snapshots taking up space. I wonder how the recall function will handle applications like DAWs 🤔. Also is the setting a global setting or user account specific, I hope it's the latter as that would allow users great flexibility. As you can have 1 login for personal and another primarily for work only - with this once you login to your work account all the relevant work applications load up at login allowing you to hit the ground running. Not to mention you can lock away your work login with secure passwords and pins. Thus meeting the stringent GDPR protocols for remote working on your desktop PC (Having to use your own PC because your employer organisation is so damn broke due to funding cuts they can't afford to give you a laptop or PC to work... damned Tories).

You're correct but Windows 11 has turned into an ad OS. Additionally Windows doesn't have an ecosystem that Apple or Google does. The short sightedness of Microsoft's CEO has destroyed consumer confidence.
@@sweetmcnasty I have to disagree with that. Satya is a genius with a great vision that skyrocketed MS stock. Meaning they are doing 10x better than they were before he took over. The issue with consumer confidence is what these new machines are expected to do, especially for high end professionals and enterprises. MS is back into full power. I will only agree with the ecosystem because MS has no mobile device as of now. But that might change in the future as well.
@@rnavedojr Satya is short sighted and has no vision. Mobile is dead, Xbox is dying, and mark my words, these new AI powered Surfaces will kill that brand. You're talking about stocks and valuation? Yeah, because he buys up everything then it eventually gets killed off. MS is overvalued and the AI hype is what's driving its current valuation.
