Thanks JT. I'm going to try to do a range video and a close up video with every gun that I show going forward. A big reason is because I am using a go pro in the range video and its just hard to get a good close up view with a go pro.
I can assure you it's not the gun. The 2 times that ive had it happen the primer was totally smashed. The gun did what it was supposed to do. The armscore ammo just has some QC issues
How many did you have that didn't work for you? Or are you repeating what someone else is saying? My Taurus revolvers/pistols have worked flawlessly. And if Taurus did, in fact, have a period of time during which QC was an issue, it has since been corrected.
I own over 16 Taurus semi-auto pistols, from 380 - 45 acp,and 2 revolvers 357 and a 327 magnum, and have not ever had any problems with them, also have some s&w and Glock pistols and a few other pistols and two charter arms revolvers in a 357 magnum and a 38 special I did not have any problems with them either, but have enough experience from the military and law enforcement with various calibers and pistols , and long guns, mostly people have problems because of operator error and lack of knowledge of a particular gun 🤔 or using a gun in general I'm confident with any of the pistols I have and don't have any problems with carrying them for self defense purposes
Picked mine up on Tuesday and I love it so far! Fits in my guitar case like a charm 👌 I can't wait to get it out on the range.
Awesome congrats
I own many Taurus firearms!!
Love every single one of them. ☺️☺️This is on my radar - only 3 “ !!! 😎
What a cute looking beauty 🎉.
Nice looking gun! Thanks.
Looks way better than the henry big boy revolver to me
The henry is goofy looking but I still wanna try it out. I agree the herritage looks better though
Beautiful
I had the same problem with Armscor ammo shooting out of my Taurus 856, changed the ammo and problem solved....
My 3 inch is awesome shooting at range.
Had to tighten up grip screw a little.
I need two of them one loaded with #4 shotshells and the other with wadcutters 😅
such a nice looking gun at a good price. Just wish those trades weren't so loud
I have the 3" on order waiting for it to come in to my FFL
Awesome. I hope you like it!!
ปืนสวยมากๆครับ
Cool gun. Crapy ammo. I was actually thinking from the last video that it’s a shame you didn’t do a close up. Thanks for doing this one after it!

Sure ..... A two minute video and he got 1/5 bad rounds... Couldn't refilm it to make it look better?
@@ellwoodwolf He’s keeping it real and reviewing the experience with integrity.
That's a purdy piece
Looks just like the old Model 85.
It IS a Taurus Model 85, gussied up with a Heritage stamp.
@@SEO122 I own two older 85's, They work very well.
That hen went completely silent
Armscore is very high quality ammo
Would love to see another ammo brand to really make sure it's not the gun.

@@CamGaylor thank you. I appreciate your response.
The only 38 Special ammo I've had consistent issues with in multiple revolvers is Armscor. I'd avoid it even if it were on sale.
Its Taurus so like 90% are fine.... But if you are using it to defend yourself are you betting yours isn't a 10% fail....
@@ellwoodwolfAnd you're basing this notion on experience?
Will grips from the S&W model 36 fit that?
I don't know
Kinda Looks like my model 36 s&w
My only issue is that it’s not recommended to fire 38 special plus p I’ll stick to my Roger LRC
It literally says in the manual that it's plus p rated and also the taurus and the heritage website. It just does not recommend plus p plus.
@@CamGaylor I saw another video that it said in the Manuel it wasn’t rated for it
actually the heritage roscoe is a taurus 85. i have an 85 and it is great. armscor ammo is terrible.
1:41 shot the Rooster!
Please tell me they make one in a Six shot
Unfortunately not
There's a reason it's WAY cheaper
@@ellwoodwolf true 😢
If you can't make something turn around by the 5th shot what do you think 1 more gonna do 😢

It's a looker..... But I just can't... Taurus, too many problems.
Ive owned like a dozen Taurus guns never had a problem lol
