Sunset on God's Thumb

When I think of Oregon, it is impossible to choose one favorite location. The changing aspens of Steens Mountain, the towering waterfalls of the Columbia Gorge, the volcanic peaks of the cascades that seem to redefine beauty, and a Pacific coastline that is rugged and pristine and utterly magical. God's Thumb is undefinable. When you are standing on its point, watching the sun slip below a painted horizon, it elicits pure emotion, like you are witnessing creation itself.
