    Holy mother nature. What a lovely scene!! Breathtaking. Photography is the single best hobby in the world. Makes me travel all over the place. Going to big bear for some beautiful photos tomorrow after some snow today!!

    i agree that allure is one of peter lik's greatest shots ever. he captured something that most people won't even see once in a lifetime. amazing work.

    so if you want a large print you can order from his website or go to a gallery but depending on the size it will cost around $10,000 USD.

    Just saw the enormous print of the gorge shot at Peter Lik's gallery in Lahaina, and it is spectacular! If you're ever near one of his galleries, be sure to stop in. It's worth the time.

      I'm pretty certain the shot at 1:56 is Oneonta Gorge. I could be wrong though.
      Maybe Peter can chime in with exactly where the shot at :53 is.

      @@PhilAndersonOutside You are correct. Fairly easy to locate about 25 miles east of Portland along the old Gorge Highway. Access to the very small gorge area is impaired by a sizeable logjam at its outlet which must be climbed over at some risk in good weather, worse in the winter. Hiking up the river itself is not as easy as shown, as the riverbed has several deep pools in which you can drown in the winter if you just wade in as suggested here.
