Danse Macabre requires an enourmous amount of Staff, I don't think Merlin would want this. Also neat to mention is that Danse Macabre was thought up by Efteling, and they went through different manufacturers to see if anyone was willing to actually build it. THey did the same for Villa Volta back in the day, which is how the Vekoma Madhouse happend
That's probably due to a language barrier. Efteling has put out 7 different "making of" videos on UA-cam, and we've had Dutch talk show programs make fun of how huge the marketing push has been for this ride. (which admittedly might have been a case of sour grapes since a different talk show had a whole episode on location in the Efteling)
I see your point about the various flat rides that have disappeared across Alton Towers, but I really think a Danse Macabre type ride would be best in Hex
At Efteling, we got the world’s first Dynamic Motion Stage and the first Vekoma Madhouse. Maybe Alton Towers will tread similar paths again? And you got the prototype dive coaster and then we got one too.
Oh hey, good news, according to a coach I had, riding rollercoasters counts as cardio, since it does in fact elevate your heartrate. So you're getting your theme park exercise even when you're not walking.
That's honestly just window dressing. You could use the ride mechanism in many different forms. Efteling is a bit anti-screens, but the Intamin ad for the ride mechanism has it surrounded by screens, (going through some sort of volcano thing iirc) which I suppose would cut down drastically on cost and opens up so many theming options. I'm sure we'll see more of it.
what do you mean? FengJuPalace was the Test Version? Villa Volta was opened 1996 and FengJuPalace in 2002 after at least 8 other MadHouses by Vekoma - so why is the one in Phantasialand the Test version. That makes no sense.

@@QDude24 amazing, thanks for sharing!
The ride system is the first in the world. Its not just a Flatride. In the making of you can see how complex it actually is.
I’ve never actually heard anything about this ride! But it looks very interesting!

Yeah the story fits perfectly

most of my exercise comes from walking around theme parks
Same!

@ ooo yay
I'd love to see this ride system in Hex at Alton Towers
That would be cool!
At Baron: what are those? Clothing of the miners that left their lives during mining for gold, as will you during the ride....😉😱
Ffs 😂 It is definitely a brilliant ride but unsure if it would work in the UK at least in Danse Macabre’s form! Also thanks for the shoutout babes 🫶

Noticed that my audio went a bit funny at a couple of points in the video, sorry about that!
*cries in teenage brit that goes to theme parks 2 times a year tops
