Thanks for watching! Let me know what you think of Efteling in the comments! You can watch my vlog from the other park I visited on this trip, Plopsaland de Panne, here - ua-cam.com/video/SzbE0MEMXhg/v-deo.html :)
The park looks so beautiful all lit up! I love everyone clapping at the end of Danse Macabre. I had a multiple day visit a week ago at Bosrijk and the clapping became so regular people started to clap at the end of Villa Volta haha. Staying at the efteling was also so easy, the app worked great for parking, opening the bungalow house, entrance to the swimming pool but also giving you a notification when a show that you favorite is about to happen and how far you have to walk for it etc. Its such an easy and enjoyable stay. I also love that the restaurants in the park stay open for a while after closing time. We had dinner at Polles Keuken and Raveleijn, the last one even ended at around 20:30 while the park closed at 18:00. So surreal to walk back to the house with the park completely empty but still all lit up
Haha glad to see that people were clapping with your experience too!😂 I went myself about a week ago and they applauded every time I went in. Hope you had a great day!
The Efteling is still working on Danse Macabre. At the moment you can see Esmeralda in the catacombs but the hide more down there. The danse will most likely change a bit to show more of the catacombs in the near future. The backstory of the ride is very rich and unique for the Efteling. Ton van de Ven already had the idea to put the conductor in Spookslot and made drawings of that, so Jeroen Verheij took those drawings, the history of the music piece and Spookslot-elements and just build a new backstory and ride around that. The Efteling is an family park. They don’t cater to just one age group. There is something for everyone in the park. What they miss in thrill they make up in theming. The still operate on the design-principles that the first designer Anton Pieck set. It has to be made just like the drawing.
Villa volta was the original Madhouse, former Efteling head designer Ton van de Ven had an idea of a rotating house and the attraction type madhouse was created in collaboration with Vekoma.
@@coaster_wave The same goes for Danse Macabre. Efteling wanted an attraction where you get the feeling of dancing to the music of Dance Macabre, it is of course the dance of dead. And with that idea in mind, they consulted several suppliers to see if they could make something like this. Intamin was the only one who dared to take on such a challenge, and that is how Danse Macabre was created. And I think it's fantastic that Efteling always dares to try new things because there are more prototypes in the park.
@@coaster_waveThat is certainly true without Intamin the Flying Dutchman would never have been operational because the supplier could not get the attraction to work, it was of course also a prototype haha and Intamin managed to break the curse of the Flying Dutchman haha.
@LoopThemeParkAdventures Intamin also stepped in to finish/fix The Flying Dutchman when that was having severe issues with its chainlift (Causing its opening to be delayed). Without intamin the ride would've possibly never opened. or had a very short lifetime
Fata morgana is a ride from 1985/1986 the proto for the ride system is the gondoletta ride. Droomvlucht is from 1994, now please look up wich year europa parks rusian darkride sneeflocken is made, and you will be surprised about how amazing the Efteling rides where back in the days. Please look up the date of that ep ride :)
Hello @LoopThemeParkAdventures Did you know that the swing boat De Halve Maen was the largest swing ship in the world until 1985? The Halve Maen is named after a VOC ship that really existed: it was Captain Henry Hudson who, having left Texel in search of a western route to the Indies, sailed into the river that is now New York Harbor in September 1609. The Halve Maen is still the largest swing ship in Europe
How could you miss the aquanura show, it's especially amazing in the dark. They even completely overhauled it recently with more lights added and a better water system.
Welcome to efteling! Danse macabre really is a world class isnt it? May i also reccomend the dutch themepark Toverland? Its just as fun as efteling. Has great coasters. And can be done in 1 day
Somehow I think story driven parks will stay fresh whereas thrill ride parks are on the way out. Simply because bigger and faster has limits too. Seen the once, seen them all. Story driven parks need maintenance because the story stays the same. Whereas the thrill seekers demand new coasters all of the time, one time thrill only. 😂
Dance macabre is still in progress. They will add more features to the motion stage and likely more show elements in the future as well. Glad you enjoyed it.
@LoopThemeParkAdventures You might want to checkout how the Wheelchair user can actually enjoy their fellow park visitor in a separate room. At least that was one of the mentioned stand out features of that ride: Wheelchair users can enjoy it too even though they can't be seated (it seems). Don't think others mentioned it, and I actually wonder how that might function. 😂
Efteling is not for people who "just want to go on a ride" as you said, because if it was, Efteling would have just built rides. But they didn't. Because its Efteling. 😉

Quite amazing explanations for each ride. I’m going to this park for the fourth time this year now, and it’s just always fantastic.🤣

I can't believe how dark Danse Macabre used to be. When I went yesterday it was a lot brighter
It seems they're making updates as they go 😊
Also the GoPro is a bit iffy in low light, so it could just be that 🤣

Do you use the osmo poop 3 or the osmo action poop 5

Hmmm..good point. Although I don't think this applies in the UK at the moment. Always going to chose Thorpe Park over the shabby Alton Towers.
