    Thanks for this. Was given one of these by a friend. Needed to know if it was SATA or NVME -- grabbed a 128GB M.2 SATA I had laying around, did a dusting and a repaste, and now it flies. Nice laptop for media playback and general browsing.

      I'm delighted to hear that you enjoyed the video! Your feedback is truly valuable to me. If you'd like to support my channel, I would greatly appreciate it if you could give me a thumbs up and subscribe.
      It can be disheartening to see that UA-cam tends to prioritize videos where electronics are destroyed or low-quality content is created, while educational content like mine often gets buried in the algorithm. 😔 However, with support like yours, I can continue to create meaningful content.
      If you have any questions or suggestions, please don't hesitate to get in touch. I'm always here to listen. Cheers! 🍻

      @@uFixTek Well, I have a HP 15-bs212wm which I am upgrading and that is how I come around to this video. So upgrading the HDD to SSD and repairing the screen frame is what I am looking for. I came across a video that said these laptops have "hinge problems", but most of the time it's the screws at the hinges are way to tight. So a video on repairing the frame and replacing the keyboard would be greatly truly helpful. Thank you

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  9 днів тому +2

      Check these videos; they can help you with your hinge repair. You will need to loosen the bolts a bit before repairing. The issue is that people open and close the screen quickly, which causes the bolts to tighten over time. This compresses the washers, and as a result, the base, being made of plastic, can get ripped out.

    oye se puede aprovechar tambien el puerto de la CD/DVD, ya nadie usa eso? cuanta ram agarra esa maquina? 8 GB? 16 GB? 32 GB? pero definitivamente retirar el disco de agencia de 5400 rpm es casi que obligatorio

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  Рік тому

      claro que puedes, pero tienes que buscar en aliexpress el adaptador the sata de dvd para esa modelo, y luego conectarle un ssd.
      sobre ram: revisa el max ram capacidad que aguanta tu tarjeta aqui: ua-cam.com/video/tKEJTkVth4Q/v-deo.html
      si el cuello de botella es tu HDD, cambialo con un SSD de hasta 2TB y veras un gran diferencia en su velocidad.

      @@uFixTek Hi man, thanks for your answer, my laptop is core i5-8250u, HP BS-series, now about my question, it is impossible to "pull" in NVME, because this laptop has "key" for M2 SATA only, how I found it, very easy, NVME interface has one "key" only, which is from right side, so M2 Sata has from both side, but more important that "interface" which soldered on motherboard, HP BS-series has "key" from left side only, thats mean it supports M2 Sata interface only, even if you have M2 NVME you can't install it on that interface port.

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  2 роки тому +1

      yes my friend its for extra storage or better combo should be as following: place m.2 sata and have OS in there, and have a 1tb or 2tb HDD for extra storage and the HDD's are much safer and secure for important file keeping. ssd's have TWB and HDD don't have TWB ( extremely high), for the same reasons servers are always HDD. so the best combo is OS on m.2 and hdd for files.
      also if you have a 6th gen i3 or i5 then its an NVME m.2 support and with that you could see a better performance . we do get in the store same models with 7th gen cpu and we do install nvme and big difference.
